When you steal from port do not just drink 5 energy drinks and expect never to sleep. Make sure you do a quick stop on the way home e at the diner or shopping strip to drink another energy drink
I've updated the game to latest update. The fence glitch is still there but as soon as you get the crates outside the fence, the guards will be alerted, the gate also opens so you can run away but even when you exit the map and get back again, the guards will stay alerted so you can't get to the crates safely anymore. So they didn't fix the glitch but only made it impossible to steal the cargo by exploiting the glitch

Instead of exit gateway and get shutdown penalty, unload the crates over the fence into truck is much better isn't it?
