In Amanda's book she said it was mainly Charles who helped her out. There was another person who got there before Charles but he ran off and other people came around that time but left when an older Mexican woman waved them away as if to tell them to stay away from there.
@Kim Ayo "we" as Amanda and himself. He said he thought it was a dosmetic dispute, he was carefully helped her. He kicked it first, then told her where to kick to get out since he didn't want to get charged for property damage.
Charles Ramsey is a damn hero, and a hell of a guy who never wanted anything other than to help Amanda Barry. I've watched pretty much every interview he gave and I think his character comes through quite clearly. After his initial interview, when the story blew up and he was being interviewed on news channels, he looks exhausted with bags under his eyes and it's pretty obvious he's not exactly enjoying the media circus. He keeps his answers brief and repeatedly states that he's not really a hero and doesn't want thanks because he only did what anyone in that situation should have done. (On that note, I have to admit how hard I personally find it to put myself in that situation, because it's so easy to want to stay out of other people's business and not potentially put yourself in harm's way. I'd like to think that I'd do what he did, but I can't say that with any certainty without actually having been there, and I think a lot of people wouldn't, which is why it's such a great thing that he did what he did. It takes a lot of courage.) I've heard about the neighbor, one in particular who was trying to take credit for what Ramsey did. As far as I can tell, this person's story is not credible, and while he may have been present to the scene, he did nothing but observe what happened before trying to take credit after this all blew up. Think about that for a second, you have one man who says he rescued a girl and doesn't want to be lauded as a hero, and another man whose intervention is questionable who is trying to convince others that Ramsey is a fraud and that HE was actually the one who saved Amanda Barry and her child. And Amanda Barry herself, after all these years, has never once said anything that contradicted Ramsey's claims. (Neighbor is a scumbag.) Even in the later interview with the reporter that interviewed him, Ramsey said that "we" made people laugh. He talked quite a bit about the situation and how the reporter responded to him and his role in the whole thing going viral. He never took sole credit for that interview, even though it was 90% him. I'm not saying the dude is perfect, he's just a regular guy with flaws like the rest of us. And I can't imagine what it's like going out and constantly being recognized and having people come up to you. I know some people can handle that, but not me. Oh yeah, I forgot to talk about McDonald's. According to Charles, they did give him a free year of food, I guess in the form of some kind of coupons or something, which he decided to give to homeless people. A million of the views were from me. Charles has a musically and interesting way of speaking, anyway. Add to that that there was the best possible ending to this situation, when so many other missing women have never been found or have been found dead and you’ve got big emotion.
Musical way of speaking-100% agree. I was thinking myself it sounds he’s almost singing in that rescue interview. Must have made that auto-tune video much easier to make than any other guy

Actually, Charles didn't know who Amanda was until later. He called her "Linda Berry or something" on the call, until he finally registered it in his head.
I'm glad his popularity faded. That shit was ruining his life. I couldn't even imagine having that sorta fame & pressure just falling into your lap overnight and not really being able to do much with it because you don't fit the corporate narrative but you can't just go back to a regular life either. He seems like the sorta guy that is just a regular guy who wants to live a regular life. I'm super happy he got that book deal & everything mostly panned out okay for ol' Charles Ramsey. What an incredibly interesting story.
Schmoyoho really is in a lane of their own when it comes to meme auto tune remix because they actually made really good songs with great vocal arrangements and great hooks. Love their news anchor remixes.
For Amanda to have visited him years later on camera to thank him PERSONALLY for kicking in the door means that he WAS the one. Anyone trying to take that away from him is a disgrace, and will discourage people from doing good things for others. Credit where it’s due. Amanda wouldn’t lie about one of the greatest moments of her life, being rescued. What for.
I love this dude with all my heart and I'm so mad that people keep pestering him. You could tell he didn't want any of the fame. He's still humble about the whole thing. I watched his reunion with Amanda Berry and he's just the most genuinely good person. He still cares about her and reassured her that it wasn't her fault that she couldn't escape when she doubted herself. Even though he's not perfect (who is, anyways? I once sent an email threatening to kill myself if my teacher doesn't change my grade.), I believe he's trying to do good. And from the way he rescued those girls, the way he comforted Amanda and just makes everyone around him smile, I'd say he succeeded.
I gave a thumbs up, because of Charles Ramsey being the main reason you did this. He’s a very caring man and deserves publicity for being there to see and hear her, then yell to others to help and call 911. Good man! God put him there for a reason!
9:56 You know something ain't right when a white dude starts spitting all over himself. And instead of cutting it out keeps it in the final rendering. 😂😂🤣🤣

Christ, the video of him being harassed by those pricks at the McDonald's was rough. Really shitty what people did, and I hope he is living a good life.

This dude got big testicles cuz we see this dude every day. We eat ribs with this dude and we didn’t have a clue that that girl was in that house, she said “Please help me get out”
I think I'm not alone when I say he made it into hero status and I will never forget that man saving those girls. He is a very happy bright spot in a horrifying ordeal.
I hate how people ruin these short term celebrities by bringing their history up. Same thing happened to that Ken bone guy where they brought up his Reddit posts and shit.
I remember this story when it was happening and I also remember Charles's manager at the time. His manager was being interviewed on camera and the interviewer asked him will Charles be fired because of the disturbance of business and the manager said no. Sure enough, he got fired from that same job just because of that issue, which is not fair. I feel that Charles could've sued that place.

Awesome story, I remember when this happened. Love at the end, when he basically says he's a man, that's what men are supposed to do, help a girl out. He just seems like a down to earth guy.

Amanda said in a interview that it was Charles helped her and in her book.Give the black man credit the others were scared give the man credit.
I feel like, with a little bit of practice, Ramsey would make a decent comedian.
He too could learn to ride a bike.
Ya think!!!
Amanda berry said it was Ramsey who saved her even on interview
I honestly remember this guy as a hero more than the "dead giveaway" stuff...
Yep.
Paint this guy however you want to assholes but at the end of the day he was a decent human being by helping that girl. We as humans should try to do the same!
Exactly
A million of the views were from me. Charles has a musically and interesting way of speaking, anyway. Add to that that there was the best possible ending to this situation, when so many other missing women have never been found or have been found dead and you’ve got big emotion.
Musical way of speaking-100% agree. I was thinking myself it sounds he’s almost singing in that rescue interview. Must have made that auto-tune video much easier to make than any other guy

@@kingscandidate I know 🙊
Didnt the kidnapper do that as well
Actually, Charles didn't know who Amanda was until later.
I'm surprised he wasn't invited to the White House to meet with the President.
Schmoyoho really is in a lane of their own when it comes to meme auto tune remix because they actually made really good songs with great vocal arrangements and great hooks. Love their news anchor remixes.
best video i've seen in looooong time
more please
Every time I watch, “Unbreakable Kimmy Schmitt” on Netflix I think of this guy and the girls.
I understand that he felt overwhelmed of all the fame that came from nowhere, which might explain his behaviour
This guy was and still is awesome!!! He’s a hero for doing the right thing!!!
I've never seen my dad laugh harder than when he watched this interview. I'm glad he helped them.
I'm so glad you left in the part where you drooled 😂😂
You like watching men drool?
I finally found a comment about it lmao had to scroll down so far
I gave a thumbs up, because of Charles Ramsey being the main reason you did this. He’s a very caring man and deserves publicity for being there to see and hear her, then yell to others to help and call 911. Good man! God put him there for a reason!

This dude got big testicles cuz we see this dude every day. We eat ribs with this dude and we didn’t have a clue that that girl was in that house, she said “Please help me get out”
