Hello Reema, that’s such a lovely comment, thank you 😍🤩 I love trying to put different colours of foliage in, I’m glad you like it. 🌈🌸🌺 🦋 have a lovely weekend 🤩
Well that is a lovely compliment. Thank you. I don’t know where you are, but here there’s been nothing much else to do for over a year except gardening or going to work 🤣 so that certainly helped 😍
It's a double Wow! from me as well. Really enjoyed your garden tour Janette. It's looking fabulous, and your planters! such a lovely combination of colours, there a knockout : ) : )
Ah thank you dear Penny. It’s a shame when the planters start getting leggy though isn’t it. I guess I will have to trim them a bit soon and hope they carry on blooming. Have a great weekend and don’t forget I’m coming for fish and chips in your cafe soon 😍🤩🌸
I have just watched video today. Your garden is so beautiful. I just love the variety of plants that you have. It is so flourishing in color, I love it. I love to listen to you talk about your garden. Gorgeous. Hello to Richard too. I love your compliments to your sweet husband. Y’all are great!! That’s my southern US slang!! lol
Oh thank you Judy that’s so lovely of you to say that. I have to say nice things about Richard so he keeps doing jobs for me 🤣🤣 but really he is rather fabulous 😊 I try to find plants with different colours of foliage, I think that’s why it’s looking colourful. 😍😍😍 I love the southern twang too 😊
A friend of mine had a t-shirt that said on the front “Blessed by God and spoiled by my husband”. I think you and I need one of those! Have a great weekend.
Wow dear absolutely gorgeous 👌👌👌 every bit, every corner n every plant looks amazing 👌👌👌 happy to see clamatis blooming n those bissy lissy looks gorgeous 👌👌👌 n ur planters 👌👌👌 l totally loved it dear 👌👌👌 good job dear👏👏👏👏🤗🤗🤗
Gorgeous and colourful full of surprises! The beds are a great shape making everything flow so beautifully around your yard! I yanked out plants that attracted the wrong bugs so I too won’t use insecticides , so plants be gone!! Another opportunity I say! Keep the videos going! London , Ontario Canada 🇨🇦
That’s Sweet Woodruff, the small green plant you forgot....I have a lot of them for now as ground cover to replace the weeds, until I can figure out what plants to put. I just so love your garden, just so beautiful. You must spend a lot of time maintaining and enjoying it at the same time.
Oh thank you, I MUST try and remember that. I really like it. I have done a load of gardening up until, since Spring, but now hopefully I can spend a bit of time just snipping and deadheading more. But there’s always stuff to do isn’t there? I love it though 😍
Wow Janette. Your garden is looking fantastic and the plants in the planters are clearly loving their lives at the moment. I love the way you have grouped them together, stunning. I see both dogs decided to make an appearance today! And has Richard in a subtle way just given you the go ahead to buy more flowering plants!!!!
Hi Una, yes the planters are doing really well but beginning to get a bit leggier so I will have to be brave and give them a trim. It’s easier to water them when they’re all together, rather than dragging the hose everywhere plus I do like the look of them together. Yes … it’s not often I manage to get Lucy on camera, she is asleep somewhere most of the time. 💤
Thank you for sharing your lovely garden I always want to praise God for such beauty in creation. I love your commentaries- with the highs & the lows. God bless you both Philomena Taylor🙏🏼❤️
Hello Janette GORGEOUS🎉GORGEOUS🎉As you know i have followed your progress since i asked you about the garlic method of slug control. Not your fault but they have become immune to it. So you can guess...i too bought two dahlia plants which were annihilated when my back was turned. I suggest you could turn the bay tree suckers into a ball maybe. As for extra colour i would plant orange day lilies or maybe perovskia ( i think it's called). Didn't know blue fescue grass flowered so that's me converted. Highly enjoyable. Thank you.
Hello Sharon, I didn’t know blue fescus flowered either because I only planted them last summer so that took me by surprise, they’re very pretty. Those slugs!!! So annoying!! As I said I’m just trying to learn what they don’t like and I’m giving up with anything they do like. We have to beat them Sharon 😡 you’ve been such a great support all this time and you always leave me lovely comments, I always appreciate that 🦋😊🙏
I love how I’ve watched you and your garden have grown ! It’s absolutely stunning ! That lawn I’m a bit jealous! You , even though I’m sure snd know how working gets in the way,🙄keep everything looking so healthy! Congrats on new job too!
Hi Teresa and thank you!! Yes, now’s a lovely time, lots of colour. The lawn has been brilliant, so glad we did that. Yours is also looking amazing, I just wish I could have a ride in your boat on the river but I’m coming over to stay soon 😊
That lawn looks great and because you have such beautifull planting around it you would never think that the lawn is fake. The real lawns are more work than they are worth. Better things to do in the garden. Love all your planting and containers.
Rain…rain….and more rain is what we have been getting here in Toronto as well. Artificial lawn looks so real Janette! Smoke bush had a lot of new growth. Cherry tree has beautiful bluish tone foliage. Everything looks beautiful 🤩 I love crocosmia spiky blooms as well but the bulbs don’t tend to do well for me….always get winter killed in our northern Canadian.
Hi there Tracy, we haven’t had much of a summer yet, very wet but it is quite warm. Hoping for some clear skies this weekend. Hope the rain stops for you too so you can get out in your garden 😊 thank you for watching, I’m loving my lawn, it’s so much easier. Take care 😍
Everything is looking so lovely. 😍 I’m glad you went slowly so I could have a good look at everything. It has filled in so much and taken off so beautifully! I don’t mind the length in the least. It’s like having a sweet visit with you! 🥰

Janette your garden is so lush and full of diversity - well done! I love your roses - you grow them beautifully. The yellow one is my favorite.... Your blue fescues are probably the healthiest and largest I have ever seen, and I love the fescue/huechera combination (specifically with the caramel huechera). And the stick! It's alive!!! You definitely deserve a rest in the garden :) PS. It's been raining like crazy over here...
Hi there Iza and thank you so much. Those blue fescues have really surprised me because they were all 3 together and I moved 2 of them and then, wow, they flowered and I didn’t know they did that. So they must be happy which is good. Oh and the stick! It does make me smile. It’s been there for years and only ever has that little bit of growth at the tip every year, it’s so funny. Other parts of England have had torrential downpours but we haven’t … yet? Maybe it’s on its way? Anyway, wish you a great weekend, it’s always good chatting with you 😍😍

I have iguanas and grasshoppers (Florida). Congratulations on your yard, it is amazing. Congratulations to Richard too, he is part of this garden.
Hi Ana Teresa, ooh I’m not sure I would like iguanas and grasshoppers either 😜 hope you’re doing well and yes, Richard does an amazing job in the garden 😍

Hiya Janette, you have done a wonderful job in the garden. I was wondering if it is at all possible if you good do a vid on how to dead head things I have only pots but I never know what I should and how to dead head my flowers. Thank you xx
Hello Jeanette, thank you so much. Yes I can do that, although funnily enough I got home from work an hour ago and just did lots of deadheading but I’m sure there’ll be loads more to do in a few days. Have a wonderful weekend 😍
