My mother and father fell in love on the Texas/Mexican border. My father is a USA veteran and mother worked at the Mexican border. I was born in Idaho, USA. I had teachers like John that weren't actors, or rich but hard workers that cared for all their students. Mr. Olivia was my 1st grade ESL teacher that put me on the road to perfecting my English because he believed one day we'd need it to defend our rights. He was right in so many ways, even when I was the only one speaking up. Nowadays, I speak through my art and innovation. Mr. Olivia isn't around anymore but the legacy he left still burns inside me. He sparked a fire I strive to live up to through my art just as he strived to live through in his classroom. Peaceful day folks,
John's curiosity and enthusiasm to bring out the contributions of the Latino culture is great!!!! 💖💖The Latino history is very broad and complex. Just like the Native American's, the Latino culture experienced being stripped of some of their land & history suppressed.

"Hispanic" emphasizes Spain. The mestizo from Mexico is superior to the Spaniards. We are the most beautiful and sexually dimorphic people in the world. That is a massive blessing to God's glory! Lastly, the Spaniards were only able to conquer Mexico with Ships, cannons, guns and military tactics that others invented. We threw them and the French out when things evened out. I prefer to be called Mexican or Mexican American.
It's a word that describes a people that include Mexicans and others. We are all native people, and Mexican is not a race period. Do your history and really read. Who is your favorite Latin/Mexican/hispanic Writer?
