Love these old 1950s SCI-FI movies. Safe for young kid's to watch and for old folks like me too.😀👀🎥
Yet Republicans tend to support child rapist by having statues of limitations on child rape..hum..? Keeping child sheltered so a Baptist preach or priest can molest..
Makes since to me..plz you r disgusting
Hihi! I'm old, too. And i like those artificial sounds, harmless monsters and that feeling of adventure.
If you like garbage, this is for you.
The scene with the shark battling the octopus was featured in "The Beast from 20,000 Fathoms." I really like these cheezy old Sci-Fi movies. Thanks!
I was just going to post the same thing about the 🦈 🐙scene but figured I better check the posts first. And sure enough another scifi/monster movie fan beat me to it! Cheers, happy viewing.
@@kentcarter835 Many thanks. Cheers -- W
Thank you.
...and it was used in 4 other movies, including a Bela Lugosi film.
Love these old b/w sci-fi's from the 50's and 60's they are so much fun, because they used imagination 👾 to get their action scenes, not computer graphics ! I don't know about anybody else but I am tired of these monsters that look like sinewy, snarling beasts with long claws that all start to look so similar to each other after a while (no originality) in today's sci-fi films.Give me a bowl of popcorn 🍿and a "soda "🍹 and I'll happily curl up on the couch 🛋to watch an old movie any day instead of these "modern" movies!!Thanks B.T for uploading these good old
movies for us to enjoy!👍👍,you're awesome!!
Thank you very much @Lenora Swidzinsky I appreciate it!
I agree 100%
Hell - I agree 110%
you are so right. modern movies are just crap.
You're free to like what you like. But let's be clear. Computer graphics require imagination to happen. Designers and artists spend weeks perfecting these designs. The computers would just sit there collecting dust without them. So let's not wiz on them because it's modern.
@Gus I mean...no. Now what?
Took me 15 minutes then realized that I had watched this movie years ago, good old scifi never disappoints
I forced myself to watch it, as an experiment. 27% of my Brain is now Petrified. If I had to explain this movie to someone, I could not!
😂😅
Me too
I became petrified with fear watching this movie...not!😂
Phyllis Coates agreed to appear in this movie under the condition that it would not be shown outside of California. The producers went back on their word.
I watched the full lenght and the only thing that kept me on it was laughter, is the best comic movie I ever seen though!!
John Carradine is always a delight to see in a motion picture.
He always play the part of a person who cannot be trusted.
Carradine's acting is good in this movie. He usually gave a good performance no matter what he appeared in.
John Carradine was outstanding playing Major Cassius Starbuckle in The Man Who Shot Liberty Valance.
First rule of diving bell design. Make it a bigger diameter on the inside than on the outside.
👍🏆👍!! Always Thankful Trout!!!! What an Era for Sci Fi!! 👴🏽NoBody🎞️s.
Watching this reminds me of that great phrase uttered by every kid that has ridden in the back of their mom and dads car while on vacation, "ARE WE THERE YET?"
No kidding! LOL!
"I never tried...to make something worthwhile." Quote by director Jerry Warren. Boy, he wasn't kidding! Poor John Carradine!
👍🏆👍. Always Great B.T.! 3rd X watching this and Finally recognized/ found all 4 “ Later Famous Movie Stars “ who started here!! Thanks. God Bless. 👴🏽NoBody.
Coincidental or Ironic? As I write this - 5 days ago a submersible named The Titan imploded near the Titanic. And when I stumbled across this movie - never expecting a story about a "diving bell" - the similarities are slightly familiar ..
..otherwise, this movie is a hoot!
Those volcanoes have such perfect timing...
I'm becoming a sub expert, all the you tube experts how can't I be ? lol
Thanks for sharing this movie!! It was honestly very enjoyable. Keep up the great work. I'm definitely one happy subscriber! 😁💯💯💯
That stranded guy's costume is ... just too good, that fake beard! Perfection.👍
I like the stock soundtrack clips that were also used in Night of the Living Dead. 👍
He was the best character.
3:35 -- "I knew I shouldn't have left my cave this morning!"
This production may have run into several hundred dollars.
Canadian
The opening theme was used in the American version of War of the Gargantuas.....
The pseudo scientific drivel at the start is pure gold.
How do you know life didn't first start in the ocean
Have you heard Carradine's drivel in "Astro Zombies"? OMG it goes on forever! So great.
Thanks for the upload!
No problem! @Jay Henener
For low-budget schlock indie sci-fi flick, it could have been worse. I checked out the IMDB page for this film and it turns out that the only reason Phyllis Coates agreed to be in it was because she was dating the director (Jerry Warren) at the time and the actress who was originally signed for the Dale Marshall role cancelled out. So, they needed a last-minute replacement, and he talked her into it by promising her that it wouldn't be released in California. Well, he ended up releasing it there and it really damaged Phyllis' career. Not only that, but he also never paid her for her work in the film.
Worth watching. I give it a 7/10 👍👍
You meant 0.7
In the opening credits, Wardrobe by Kelpsuit. I doubt this will be as "good" as Frankenstein Island (In color) but might as well enjoy it while I can. Thanks Jerry Warren!
Still waiting to see a single petrified plant or animal. Funniset parts were @36:02: "So, he's a weirdo". "Who else would come down here?", lol. Then again @43:48, when the 'weirdo' reveals that he's definitely a 'weirdo'.
First rule of SCUBA diving: Always put your flippers on BEFORE you climb the ladder.
Jeez, this was so bad it was great.
55:19...." I'll get some coffee."😂
It was at 3:20 when the octopus realized that he fucked up.
WHY DID THE WOMAN THROW A RING INTO THE WATER NEAR THE BEGINNING?
I think because her boyfriend or fiancee didn't come.
So cheesy I was looking for the macaroni 😂 thank you for this 🎉
Thx B T 👍🇺🇸👍
Saved by the bell !!!!!
Had to give this bad movie a like simply for the Lois Lane aspect.
Ah! A Diving bell! Close enough to a mini sub.
I watched this movie and I’m not sure what actually happened but it was very interesting.
Good thing we only use 10% of our brain. You still have 63 percent to watch some more of these wonderful old sci-fi movies. Good luck.
So cheesy but fun to watch.
Looking at Phyllis who is always beautiful is the only reason to watch this .
Lesbians think so too
The fish 🦈🐠🐟🐬🐋🐳🐙🐡were the ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
They were all 🐠 out of 💦 . Grade A actors !
I see the Black person's role in this movie is the servant passing out drinks.
Her screaming must of woke up the volcano. Too bad about about the old man.
Looks like copyright is 1957, not 1959…
Underwater Photography,,,,, "Mel Fisher." (Atocha Mel ? )
All the fish in this movie are now dead.
the sea is not as old as the earth itself
Adoro as músicas do filme ❤
Opening credits made me seasick. Phyllis Coates not playing Lois Lane? Probably only good thing about this flick.
May be I'm asking too much: is it possibly to share again in better quality ? Regards.
What is wrong with the quality? What do expect from 1959? Just remaster it yourself if you are not satisfied and not too lazy.
The quality is fine. Get a life
old gal, "...there is nothing friendly between two females..."
young gal, "...I was hoping we could help one another."
old gal, "You don't need any help, and neither do I. Not as long as we have two men around us."
I can hear the 2nd wave feminists screeching...
"JED...JED" Mystery Science Theater 3000 "The Leech Woman"
“Spendthrift “ accusation for $70,000 ?
When I saw the film's title I thought it was about Covid.
Naw. This movie never caught me. Besides the cave and weirdo in it 0 action. That's a C movie with all the respect
John Carradine?
Yes as the lead scientist, he built the diving bell.
OK I give up. Anyone know what the letter she crumbled up said?
let's go Brandon 😁😂
Cornball but watchable.
This sounds like the winner of a contest to invent a movie title that is both titillating and non-sensical.
The year of release is given as MCMLVII-1957 not 1959.
The roman numerals indicate the copyright year. That it took them 2 years to get some poor schmuck to actually distribute this disaster is unsurprising.
I was wandering: who were the dumbest in this movie, the producers or the audience?
To bad not coloreze
What petrified world ?!?!?
What is it scared of ?
24:48 so i guess the water just STAYS put while they climb into the bell then eh?? 🤔 didn't see a staging room where they could drain off the water when they got into the bell HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA guess they just forgot about how the water would just flood the bell if ya opened the door on the top hahahahahahahahahaha
Bad timing to run this movie.
To the person doing the subtitles..please learn English!!!!
Facts God created the earth
fantasy for idiots...
@@sitaroutreachministry6289 you drive with s mask on...will see...you bent over believing that there was a thing going on and u need 3 shots lol...fantasy 4 idiots..lol
POOR PHYLLIS COATES SHOULD OF STAYED WITH SUPERMAN.................SHE WAS GOOD IN THAT.
... Some Say (Not ME OBVIOUSLY).. That Our PHYLLIS was All Fur Coat & No Knickers and That's why She Supports Arsenal (ARSE NIL Get It).. Toodle Pip Old Bean 🏴😂 2:43
How did they open the top of the bell and It didnt fill up????? Oh thats right ,,,, the movies..
I was asking that too. Probably the same way they expected there to be an opening at the surface that magically didn't make the water rush in and fill the cave.
No indication of how they were rescued.
Dubbed dialog is hard to get past...
This movie was dreadful! It had no plot, terrible acting, terrible dialog, terrible effects. I cant' believe all this crap about these old movies being better than movies today. The only good thing about these old sci-fi movies is the laughs you get from how bad they are. Movies made today are infinitely better than this old crap; and I'll take cgi over these bad effects any day.
We remember only the good ones ;-) The rotten ones -- and there were plenty -- are rightfully forgotten.
this particular movie was bad, yes. some classic sci fi and horror are good, and some even fit into the catagory "so bad its good"
War of the Worlds 1953 is 10 times better than the 2005 remake. It was science fiction done right. No family crap, No whinny kids and no holding back. The battle scenes in it blew away the 2005 movie. not bad for a movie that in present day US dollars probably cost six million dollars. I am for good stuff regardless what year it is from.
You obviously have not seen any good movies. My heart goes out.
