It is because the animation is based on real HEMA techniques.And I think the perfectly mixed between realism and cool flashy movements style is what make it so good

She plays like Vera Flare mix 1:23 she doesn't care what's in front of her. I love it! XD What I love is how she still kept her snapping fingers to activate during her core passive 3:13 It's a throwback to her Veritas Frame where she will go "Sniper Mode" when she snaps her fingers! It even has similar sound effect with Vergil's Judgement Cuts O__O She's freaking amazing! Alpha is the reason I watched a lot of PGR gameplay last year and convinced me to give the game a shot. Vera Flare is the reason I'm playing this game religiously; I just love Flag as a weapon and her sadistic smile during her Ultimate! Bianca Abystigma is the reason I will be supporting Kuro Games up until her release and even beyond (5th Anniversary etc) I just reached level 102 Commandant a few days ago; no miss logins!. I also think they increase the maximum commandant level from 120 - 160? This game truly is special! It has potential to be supported beyond 5 years! Just like Arknights right now! Give us PC client Kuro Games please! CN 3rd Anniversary (Dec 2022) announce it at that time please!
Holy shet her skillset is so cool! Also her core passive and ultimate. This is like looking into my dreams of fantasy worlds where you fight like a badass. But reality is boring and depressing. Ah, it reminds me of when all of my childhood dreams just shatter into pieces slowly as I grew older. 🥹
tbh im in love with the PGR art style and though I know in my soul they'll go above and beyond and make amazing work out of Wuthering Waves, I admit I am sad that they did not keep the old art style (for mostly the faces in particular). I feel like the faces in WW so far are... boring? My eyes go elsewhere instantly, but everytime I get a PGR video on my reccomended I'm just absolutely fuckinggg enchanted by how gorgeous the artstyles look. I feel as if while the only thing attractive about characters in WW is their moveset and outfit--PGR characters are gorgeous and polished in everything they do and every part of them in the same way a good piece of art leads your eyes around.
exactly my thoughts, I feel like WW doesn't have much going on around their character designs, except their movesets (which is a given because Kuro lol)
I think every beginning phase of the game is not that well compare to later, and remember the dev is seperate. Later once WW game dev have a better gist, things will get better.
While i'm a little salty due to being the 1st gen compositors main(as they won't get this kind of flashy animation), but i do appreciate the efforts they put in this. It's just really cool. And that mid-air slashing looks too powerful i'll say.

That type of grip for melee weapons is called Ice Pick Grip. The Karambit is well known for being used in this grip. The main advantages for shorter blades (Shorter than Bialter's sword) is generating more force on a downward stab, and Trapping, if the user is skilled enough. As said by Logan Lo (Scenic Fights), people that hold a knife in this way either have no idea what they're doing, or they _really know_ what they're doing.

the way she use the overhead guard form on the basic atk+ult is just so satisfying. a bit of hint on HEMA which most fantasy fighting just forgot
Her fighting style without the obvious fantasy parts give me heavy montante technique vibes.

@@agunkorea2995 Well, Kuro is not Mihoyo. The game is still in a very early state, nothing is set in stone yet, so don't assume too much.
