Surprised this isn’t more popular given the 80s synthwave vibe.
I love it. Very relaxing and dramatic at the same time.
The late 90's early 2000's were the pinnacle of PC gaming
Christopher B. Yeah man!! God bless 90's EA Games
I remember when this game came out, my older brother got it for his birthday and I remember the CDROM jewel case that it came in and it had the serial number in the back. We would secretly run it on my dad's computer (back then you were able to play games straight from the cdrom, if I remember correctly you had to install some files for it to play as the bare minimum to run off the cd). I even remember the autorun screen that booted up everytime you put in the cd. This game's graphics, music, and sound effects were mind blowing for me at the time and it was one of those games that gave you chills everytime you played it. Almost like a really good drug trip and you only wanted more everytime you play.
No dlc's too
Yeah back then everybody had passion.
@@josemanuellopez2524 well they still cut the shit out of Red Alert 2 but especially Tiberian Sun, they wouldve been so much better games. I want the lightning system in TS and the Yuri campaign in YR :(
This is a certified hood classic, what a tune this whole OST even. Frank Klepacki was so ahead of his time
Funny because Frank had not much to do with this song, it was written and produced by Jarrid Mendelson.
Of the Tiberian Sun soundtrack, Frank was involved with Timebomb, Flurry, Mutants, Approach, Dusk Hours, Mad Rap, Valves, What Lurks and Score.
About half of those he written himself, the other half in collaboration with Jarrid, while Jarrid did the remaining 6 songs (including this one) mostly by himself.
Sure there was artistic discussion on the tracks composed by one of the other, but composing credits go fully to Jarrid for Lone Trooper :P
@@bami2 Jarrid and Frank did such an excellent job with the ost
yooo real talk on this be certified hood classikkk. i was pulllin up with my kodakk all black and the mlrs with dem rimmmmrocketz
real talk though. gloom is a certified hoood classik
@@bami2 So, Pharotek & Nod Crush were made by Jarrid?
4:12 am I the only one who love this part? It just soooo goood
I would buy a Tiberian Sun remaster ten times.
Hey Zicore, belive me, ill pay 1,000$ for it.
Any way, I would love if you could subscribe to my channel, it really helps me
give the tiberium essence mod a try then.
It will just be some cheap cash grab with higher res graphics.
My favorite track on Tiberian Suns.
2:35 starts best music ever
One of the best soundtrack ;)
My favorite game of all time, first and the last. 1998, really good time to play game. 🤘
C&C games seem to have two types of music
Atmospheric and/or relaxing
and
I CAN CONQUER THE EARTH WITH THE POWER OF 100000000 ARMORED VEHICLES!
Or 1.0 x10^(2^31) Light Infantry (derp)
*Command and Conquer Generals Zero Hour, gets Missile Defenders and Avengers, I win*
Kirov spam.
Speaking of many tanks, I remembered total annihilation
This my all time favorite, along with valves
I would agree too, in terms of how good the tracks are. Also close are Pharotek, Ion Storm, Infiltration, and Rain in the Night Part 2.
I find the lack of nod crush disturbing
2:30 Emotional Damage
1:17 awesome part, sounds like a soldier who wanders in a post apocalyptic environment while realising how much planet earth have been destroyed.
Tiberian Sun will be 20 years right now in 2019.
with many other good tittles, that was new someday, but are all old now.
In 2030 it will be the time that it was supposed to be set in :)
Damn, nearly 22 years ago....
Yep, and steal awesome atmosphere
@@zoom3000 Hearing this track takes me back to much simpler times! Yeah, despite the downgrade, probably one of the first games ever to experience it, the game had incredible atmosphere.
that fading synth pad from 1:17 to 2:03 in the background reminds me of the track from the first Portal game "Taste of Blood"
It does.
Also Portal 1 had a really good soundtrack
2:35
This is my favorite track. Not only of the tiberian sun, of all the RTS ever made.
Frank Klepacki and the composer for Max Payne were using the same sound libraries lol. That opening part is the same sample used in Max Payne's main theme.
Flawless. sublime. a masterpiece and work of art.
The beginning of this tune gives me Max Payne vibes. At least for the ingame trailer at the start menu of the first game.
Now this song takes me back. To this day TS and Firestorm are my favorite games of all times. And this track my favorite of the soundtrack
This song is so GDI, that you can't play it when you play as NOD.
wish frank would do another tibsun soundtrack just for fun... and for the listeners ofc
This track wasn't actually made by Frank Klepacki. It's one of Jarrid Mendelsson's
@@Nyerguds They both worked on it. Jarrid did a couple pieces and Frank did the rest.
@@skeptic_lemon "Lone Trooper" is credited solely to Jarrid Mendelsson on the soundtrack.
@@Nyerguds Oh wait, yeah sorry. I thought you mean the entire soundtrack and shortened it to track. That's on me :D
Who's here in 2024?
Just got Tiberian Sun on my Steam Deck!
My Fav.
Ooooh mobile sensor array time
0:23 do you remember the Max Payne Intro? The same sample ;)
Looking forward to the remaster (it has to happen!) :D
It will be the best thing to hear. Tiberian Sun is my fevorit game of all times
@@zoom3000 Yeah, the atmosphere is some of the best i have ever experienced in a game ever!
@@KilgoreOnDrugs I think that it´s the best C&C game before RA2, but even after it, the atmosphere can´t be beaten, even today. A remaster would be incredible. Maybe with modern graphics?
look up the tiberium essence mod
They used this track for the trailer/intro for Max Payne.
No they didn't
@@KilgoreOnDrugs Yes they did.
erhm... no they fucking didn't lol... Sounds similar perhaps, but neither Jarrid Mendelson or Frank Klepacki was mentioned in the credits.
And Remedy certainly did not rip anyone off.
@@KilgoreOnDrugs If that’s the case they both used the same sound source probably.
Around 1:30 it starts to sound very Unrealy.
At this point, it remind me sim city 3000 music if u play it lol
Unrealy as in UnrealTournamentey sure !
@@VigilantGuardian6750 And also the original Unreal.
beautiful!
I feel a SimCity vibe from the track, either 3000 or 4.
Or Captain Power, the TV show from the late 1980s.
00:37 always makes me think of the sonic weapons and turrets
This is the track that Dalek Bumps uses the most in his videos
I thought I was listening to Depeche Mode at first. 😆
this one kind of gives me the creeps.
3:20 from this part, for me the music will start!!!🥹💔
when your base is gone but you have one guy left hunting crates
max payne intro track))
lol yea, sound verly similar
sounds like something you would hear in Deus Ex to me
Sounds like Legowelt
For some reason, I’m reminded of Helltaker
If the Doom Slayer was in the Tiberium Universe.
Awaken from his tomb to see a helish and desolate landscape of abandoned and destroyed cities rife with green and blue crystals, mutated beasts and humaniods, ripe for the slaying, witnessing two major factions fighting, who despise eachother and seek only death of their enemies and for control of this wasteland of a planet and the mysterious crsytal.
2.35 BESTTTTT
This sounds like Ghost Stalkers kind of track.
good shit
dancing kane brought me here
420 likes, cant ruin it!
The beginning uses the same sample from a Max Payne track
Too quality
