I really sorry to for what you have to been thru. My labor/delivery story wasn’t the best but my husband was all the time with me. That’s quite normal in USA. I hope you doing well. Greetings from Pa, Usa
This made me cry! As a student nurse in Glasgow I totally understand where you're coming from with auxiliaries and some staff nurses. There's always some that shouldn't be in the job, I hope you complained x
Aww ❤️ I don’t know how they can be so mean, especially to people so vulnerable 🤷🏻♀️ After the 2nd time she had me in tears I said something and they were a bit nicer to me! Thank god I was only with them for 2 of the 7 nights 🙈 xx
Girl! You are one strong women!! You look beautiful and hoping you feel back to normal! I too had a pretty bad pph. I had a retained placenta and hemorrhaged right after the delivery of my beautiful baby boy. I went into shock and passed out. The nurses were on top of mine and hooked me up to an IV and I ended up having a few bags of blood. I had a retained placenta and had to have it manually removed. Ouch! I could barely stand up or sit up on my own for a long time. It took me about 3 years to recover and my iron stores are still low. I am now pregnant with number 2 and am really scared it will happen again! Just trying to stay positive and reassured that they will be on top of it if it does. also, i remember during my recovery the nurse came in to check my lady bits and she looked horrified at what she saw lol! She even called in another nurse to check, talk about embarrassing! They decided it was just tearing and bruising lol! I laughed when you said "looked like you were kicked by a horse" That is exactly what mine looked and felt like lol!
you poor thing :( I am so sorry you went through that. your child is beautiful :) I see you posted this awhile ago so hopefully this has already gone away but the scar on your neck from the line should become undectable, I think mine took a good 9 months...it wasn't until watching this video that I noticed my scar was gone lol. the scars on my upper arms from my many picc lines are another story, I've got at least 15 little scars that I can count from having to have a picc line in nonstop for almost a decade...but most of those lines were each in for 6-12 months so they have more prominent scars but the places I had lines in only for a month or so before they clotted or I got a blood infection from the line and it had to be pulled, those didn't scar permanently.
Thank you for your comment ❤️ Poor you, I hope you’re ok! The scars I have are small. But I really notice them. The one on my neck is still here nearly 18 months later so not sure it will go away 🤷🏻♀️ I guess they are a reminder of surviving something so scary. ☺️
Wow, what a story. You are right along with miscarriage and infertility, people don't speak about birth enough. I don't do pregnancy or birth so well. 2 sections for me. What a traumatic time for you and your family. Pretty horrific. X
There’s actually so much more that I missed out as well 🤦🏻♀️ Haha. I don’t know why I want to do it again?! I must be nuts. But it was definitely all worth it. How did you find your sections? I think I’d be a section next time. Although I’ve been told I have options, it’s probbaly safest for a section. Xx
Alright. I didn't labour beyond 3cm after an induction first time due to reduced movement and then baby's heart rate dropped so rushed off in an emergency. Recovery was tough for first week- could barely walk as couldn't get my pain meds right but prob nothing compared to pain and trauma you went through so you'll be fine! Second time was semi emergency due to reduced movement. Felt much better afterwards but at 6weeks got bad infection. Two rounds of antibiotics sorted me though body still bit wrecked 6 months on. Not sure anything will fix the pouch! Not sure if the strong anti biotics damaged my baby's gut and thats why he has multiple allergies as that's when things went wrong but I guess we'll never really know. Annoying as I asked GP If it was ok to bf in them. Anyway... I'm rambling! X
Sounds scary! I was so paranoid about antibiotics and bf but the one I got seemed to be ok. They stopped working though after the 3rd time though and made me really sick but I couldn’t get different ones because of bf. hopefully you will recover fully in time. I’m still not fully recovered 14 months down the line and need surgery. Remember to talk to someone If you need to also. I was made to see a psychologist and I’ve found her really helpful ☺️ Xx
Omg you are so lucky to me alive after all that. How you were treated is just appalling you should put in a complaint. I had a traumatic birth story as well I had an emergency c-section got and infection cos the lazy nurse who looked after me didn’t dress the wood she gave me a sanitary risk to stick on the wound. I had had a gap as well and had midwives visit me for 5 weeks. I know your baby is still small but will you go on to have another baby? Or has the traumatic birth put you off?
Oh no that sounds awful!! Poor you 😩 Did you put in a complaint? I am desperate to have more as soon as possible. I need further surgery so need to decide if I’m going to do that first or have a baby first. Do you want more?
