Been on the line
Had a really good day
Well worth visiting
One of the best Heritage railways around
Fantastic. We will definitely visit.
I volunteered on this line for a couple of years when I was 14/15 in around 2002/3. It was so much different then, but still full of a great group of massively enthusiastic guys who taught me so much about the line and railways in general. I remember a man called Malcolm Hill who used to oversee me during those wonderful days. I’d arrive early on a Sunday and spend the entire day there every week. Many memories and much enjoyment!
Well presented and thank god we,ve got it. Ignore any trolls
A great achievement.
Great video - I was there at the weekend and recognised some of the people who are still working there all these years later after the documentary was made.
This is a really beautiful and perfect documentary. Very good job. Congratulations. Like.
Um I’m sorry but is that lawire?
I still haven't been on the Railway before.
I've the honour to ride this line in the early 1970th when it was still 2 trains there, meeting at North Weald. In Ongar the draught beer was very cheap compare with inside London, think it was 1 shilling 50.
I really want to join as a volenteer soon, am very excited
Be Careful & Safe on the Railways in Future.
wow i travelled to ongar a few times by tube. how things have changed since it was closed. i never imagined steam on it!
I’m old enough to remember , as a youngster in the 50s , standing on the footbridge at Epping station waiting to be engulfed by smoke as the train from Ongar arrived .
Have they managed to get through to Epping yet?
whats the violin hit music playing at the end credits
1865
The Beginning
In 1856 The Eastern Counties Railway (ECR), which later became part of the Great Eastern Railway (GER) opened a double track railway between Stratford and Loughton. A single-track extension between Loughton and Ongar was added in 1865.
Just pick a damn sandwich buddy
Cant understand this enthusiasm for machines which po;;ute the air and contribute tio climate change. Scrap them
Oh dear, no soul or appreciation for history
Climate change is propaganda to steal tax payers money
Idiot
I think you'll find railways are public transport, precisely the sort of thing environmentalists want us to use instead of the private car..
