I feel like with straykids the term "double knot" is even more special because it takes me back to when they were still in the survival show..... For an important performance the members stretched, warmed up and Bang Chan, their leader, reminded all of them to double knot their shoelaces, before slaying that performance. And for them to bring that back, use that as a symbolism to chase one's dreams, and make a song out of it. That's just pure talent and a great use of their influence as artists.

I've heard a lot of people saying that this song feels a lot like a transition from Side Effects to something else, so Double Knot could be SKZ preparing for anything. But the original 3RACHA song used Double Knot as a way to tell who was really working hard, so it could play into that as well.
For me, "double knot" is tying your shoelaces = get ready and just Go, do whatever you want to do. In 3Racha, I think it is more about get ready and run/fight, stop procrastinating. Here, it is more about get rid of the worries, and be free, go anywhere you want to go.

This song gave me an old school urban hip hop vibe. Change the members to Wu Tang riding a vintage Plymouth sedan and lyrics in English, it’d be fitting. I like how SKZ carves out a unique sound that’s kpop but also lots of other things as well. Their songs all feel genuine and organic.
