(Side note: the bits in [Brackets] are in-line in a slightly different font, with the following phrase in (parentheses) being in smaller text above it. This practice is known as Furigana, and is used for several things, such as clarifying uncommon kanji, indicating a double-meaning or pun, as a more artistic or explanatory spelling, or to provide an opposite meaning, to reinforce an effect. In karaoke, the Furigana (which I denoted the translation for in parentheses) is usually pronounced in place of the kanji, as the pronunciations can be significantly different)
