Hey Remil! 6/8 is a specific type of way that the beats are counted in a measure, with 6/8 there are 6 beats in a measure, and the down beats are on the 1 and on the 4. If that seems confusing no worries just know that the strumming patterns will be different in 6/8 and 4/4
Hi Bob! I play key of G chords instead of key of F chords since key of G chords are quite easier to play than key of F chords. To play the key of G chords we would have to tune down. Hope this helps!

Why do you tune down rather than play the F chords? (Dm, C, Bb/A#, Gm, F) ?
