I have a pmd75 like this one and i want to show my flow i set 4 different pmd75 it gives me a good measurement in my 4 tunbes that i have an air run in it with a diameter of almost 30-40 cm and my main tube has 90 cm diameter what i am trying to know ks why my main tube which goes to all 4 tubes is not the sum of the 4 tubes let's say i have each tube with 1800m³/h so the main tube should be that multiply by 4 which is almost 7200 m3/h plz reply if u read this

Hello, im trying to learn, If someone is reading this comment I would appreciate if you can answer my question.
What does output of square root function means?
What is difference for example measuring flow this way or using for example vortex flowmeter?

Flow can be measured with a differential pressure transmitter.
The flowrate is proportional to the square root of the differential pressure value over the orifice plate, venturi or pitot tube.
So if you want the flow rate as a current output, you need to set the current output transfer function to square root
Typical applications for this measurement principle are large diameter pipes or high temperatures.
