It is great in some ways. More points, more three pointers, no need for positions, everyone from every position can shoot from almost anywhere. All great things. Too bad that defense seems to be at an all time low compared to the past. I watch teams literally go back and forth and giving up layups. The league seems more about out scoring the other team and not worrying as much about defense. Not as much fun to watch as it would be if we still had the hand check and real man to man defense. Now days some players go all out on offense and then rest on defense. Statically, the NBA ratings have gone down and that’s a fact! That doesn’t take away from the fact that we are still seeing some of the best and all around players. They had to change as the league changed and the rules changed. Hopefully this years all star game will be more exciting than last year.

Who ever wins the Championship and finals MVP this year will be the best player in the league... This has been the case for the last 6 Champions other than 2020

Lebran is great but so much has changed in the science of training, surgeries and recovery that he can do those things when coupled with his natural and earned talents.

Statistically yes. But basketball was still more fun to watch before 2012. It was a lot more personal between the players and fans.

I agree that if you only think about yesterday you don't notice the good things of today. At the same time there is a reason a lot people do not like todays NBA. I, for example, don't like this 3 point festival. I don't like that the league has become a bit softer, rules wise. I know that these players are great, I just prefer something else.

I have never heard anyone say that, today's players are not great. But why demand respect by calling our yesterday's greats less than today's.
