What a stupid remark? If PM Imran Khan can’t understand or speak FARSI/Pashto and on the other side if some Afghani ppl can’t understand URDU but they do understand English…then which language should PM speak in that other side understand??? ENGLISH obviously. It saves time & energy of using interpreter !
Btw, most Afghans also know Urdu, so why didn’t they communicate to PM IK in URDU instead????
Why should the interpreter be used???

    • @madeehasaeed786
      @madeehasaeed786 3 года назад +1

Rather a stupid comment when the Afghans are speaking apparently in their native language as you say then shouldn’t Pakistanis be speaking in their native languages like Sindhi, Baluchi, Pashto, Pahari and Punjabi etc, but obviously that isn’t what you are saying, you are lamenting the fact that English is being used instead of Urdu which isn’t even a native language of Pakistan and in fact not a language of of Pakistan at all but an official language or a language of interprovincial communication that has been GIVEN the designation of National (or quomi) language whereas the fact of the matter is that the real national or quomi languages and in fact mother languages are the ones mentioned above.
So isn’t that already a type of slave mentality deferring to a foreign language (Urdu), apparently for the sake of interprovincial communication then why not go one step further and speak in English for the exact same reason, ie for the sake of international communication, besides English is the global language of diplomacy, trade and commerce, education and law and is simply the lingua franca of the world making communication between different peoples a whole lot easier and is in every l single way in the modern world superior to Urdu, so yes English is absolutely fine in the international arena especially for a multilingual, multiethnic, multicultural and in fact multi-national country like Pakistan, your argument does hold some merit though I’ll grant you that, for countries like France to speak French. Germany to speak German, the Netherlands to speak Dutch, Korea to speak Korean and Japan to speak Japanese and of course England (UK) to speak English etc etc etc, but how on earth does that logic apply to a country like Pakistan?

@@madeehasaeed786 Urdu IS the official national language of Pakistan.

    • @madeehasaeed786
      @madeehasaeed786 3 года назад

      @@Abdullah-uv9nk
Accepted that Urdu is the official language of Pakistan, I never denied that, but the national language of Pakistan, that’s a stretch, like I said previously it has been ‘DESIGNATED’ as the national (quomi) language of Pakistan whereas the fact of the matter is that it is not the national language at all except by designation, it is not the national or quomi or ‘mother’ language of any of the native peoples of Pakistan nor is it the national language of any of the provinces of Pakistan, that is a fact whether anybody likes it or not, yes I’ll accept that it is an official language of the country but then so is English, so what’s the problem, I’ll also accept that Urdu is a language of interprovincial communication but then like I said in my previous comment English is the language of international communication and the lingua franca of the world, so why not in the international arena go straight to English and also like the other responder replied why not do away with interpreters.
Remember my comment was in response to the OPs initial comment lamenting the fact that (people, eg diplomats and journalists etc of) other countries (in this case Afghanistan) use their national language(s) whereas (sadly, lol) Pakistan(is) use English and that somehow reflects some sort of slave mentality, I merely pointed out the contradiction in such thinking by drawing his attention to the fact that the real national or quomi or mother languages of Pakistan are the likes of Sindhi, Baluchi, Pashto, Pahari and Punjabi etc and they are the national languages of Pakistan naturally and natively, not by designation or legal compulsion or enforcement, so in that regard the use of Urdu by people in Pakistan could also be considered as reflective of a slave mentality, after all Urdu isn’t from the land of Pakistan just like English isn’t either.
I also drew a comparison to other countries where such an accusation could well be made if the same thing was happening there (which of course it isn’t, for natural reasons), for example if the French in the international arena were using English (or some other language) instead of French as France by its very name and people and ethnicity and native language and culture is/are naturally and quintessentially ‘French’, the same applies like I said previously to other countries such as Germany, Korea, Japan and I’ll add Russia, Saudi Arabia (of course other Arab countries too) and of course England (UK) itself as well as other naturally English speaking countries who by ethnicity, language and culture such as Australia and New Zealand are naturally and natively English and English speaking, it is NOT, I repeat NOT an imported or legally imposed/enforced or designated official or national language, it is (and they are for all the other countries) a natural, native language that is not only THEIR official and national language but also their mother language, so a far cry from the position of Pakistan which again like I said previously is a multiethnic, multilingual, multicultural and even multi-national country or entity, so such stupid comparisons to other countries who use their national language which also happens naturally and natively to be their quomi (in the real sense of the word) and mother (madri) language is a non starter when it comes to multiethnic and multilingual countries like Pakistan especially when the language in question (Urdu) is not even from the land of Pakistan but from the Ganga-Jamuna (Yamuna) region, but as an official language alongside English at the national or federal level as well as for interprovincial communication and again alongside English and the respective provincial languages (dependent on province, so Sindhi in Sindh) at the provincial level it is fine, not a problem, but it must not be forced down people’s throats as it was in East Bengal/East Pakistan/Bangladesh, nor should emotional blackmailing be used to embarrass people by referring to them as slaves and such to not use English and instead use Urdu as has been done mercilessly and relentlessly over the last seventy years against the use of the native languages of Pakistan.
What’s happening to Urdu (perceived) at the hands of English is exactly what’s been systematically done to Sindhi and Punjabi etc for the last seventy years at all levels whether the media (print, radio and tv) or the state (bureaucracy, gov departments etc) to embarrass, denigrate and humiliate people who wish to speak their own languages and preserve their heritages, languages, cultures and identities into abandoning their own languages and adopting Urdu instead by referring to them as ‘illiterate’, uneducated and ‘pendu’ etc with the aim to humiliate them in such a horrendous campaign, so why all the crying now when Urdu is on the receiving end yet it isn’t being targeted, some people are simply using English, nobody is attacking Urdu, nobody is humiliating it, nobody is going around in the media for seventy years calling people who use Urdu as illiterate and uneducated etc, so why all the sensitivity for Urdu now, where was the same sensitivity for the actual native languages of Pakistan when they were being continuously bashed for the last seventy years, yet now nobody is even mentioning Urdu as a topic, the PM and other (officials) merely used English without referring to Urdu and people are in uproar, I ask why the sensitivity?
It actually gives me great pleasure in seeing people being uncomfortable at the use of English by people in positions of powers in Pakistan just like they themselves (knowingly or unknowingly) used Urdu to make the native peoples of Pakistan feel uncomfortable for the last seventy plus years, great pleasure indeed.
I myself am a Punjabi, I speak in Punjabi and if people can’t understand my Punjabi then they will have to understand my English and if they can’t then it’s their problem not mine as I refuse point blank to speak in Urdu as I’m not a slave to cultural imposition, to me that is breaking free from slavery and if it’s still to be called slavery then why choose Urdu when you can just jump straight to English.
Do read the original comment from the OP and the reply by Zee Niazi and then my first reply/comment to actually understand what’s being talked about instead of just jumping in with a weird comment like “Urdu is Pakistan’s national language”, I know that but the point is so what if Urdu is Pakistan’s national language, it isn’t Pakistan’s national language like French is France’s national language is it, the difference is day and night, now look at Bangladesh, they speak Bengali because it is naturally, ethnically, natively and culturally their national and mother (madri) language, you cannot compare that to a country like Pakistan, plus why are they not using Urdu when they too we’re part of Pakistan in the past and Urdu was also imported (forced upon them) there too, has the rejection and abandonment of Urdu made any difference to them, have they become illiterate, uneducated or pendus all of a sudden, of course NOT, it’s made no difference to them whatsoever, they haven’t taken on a foreign language like Urdu yet it (Urdu) a foreign language is forced down our throats, that’s the real slave mentality, I have no problem with it as AN official language ALONGSIDE English and the respective provincial languages in the respective provinces but to be brutally hones it isn’t my national or quomi or mother language and to me that’s its only purpose as a tool of communication between the provinces NOT as a means of deleting and wiping out the identities of the native peoples of Pakistan, and remember nobody attacked Urdu, only responded to the stupidity of the OP’s comment at the beginning of this thread and defended the right of people to use English, nothing wrong in that, but if you gave something specific to argue about or there is something wrong in any points I have made then go ahead and academically and logically in a reasoned way challenge them, challenge the ideas, try not to attack the person, go ahead.

The Afghan people should accept the reality of Afghan Taliban.
The peace of Afghanistan is related with not only the peace of Pakistan but also related with development of Pakistan and Afghanistan.
The reason is that , the future government of Afghanistan and Pakistan will have good relations with emerging power China. It will be benficial for Pakistan and Afghanistan if our tilt will on the side of china instead of india and U.S.
    So think about that.
To be honest its high time to create better and good relations with each other. We are Muslim brothers we should have good brotherly relations.

Following is just a extremely small amount of TERRORIST attacks lead by Taliban on civilians I can't list them all there's too many
      - (78 killed and more than 150 wounded Afghanistan Ashura bombings at Mazar-i-Sharif, Kabul, Kandahar)
      - (The massacre of Hazaras in Jalrez District 27 killed and 3 wounded at Wardak Province)
      - ( Mirza Olang village attack,
      Approx 50 killed)
-( Attack on Hospital Maternity ward, 24 plus killed. Mothers, newborn babies and nurses were among the victims)
-(20 people died after a truck packed with explosives Rammed into a Hospital and was detonated by Taliban militants in southern Zabul province)
      - UNAMA reported that the Taliban was responsible for 45% of the civilian casualties.
There is many many more these were civilians that died if you think this isn't terrorist activity than u need to go to near police station and walk into a jail and sit down.

PM one advice for your answers to questions relating to Pakistan supports Taliban or why? Etc. Etc.
My ADVICE is to see Hilary Clinton statement in congressional committees where she had detailed that how US and Pk fought Russia, how/why US has created Taliban and how/What US sudden withdrawal in 90s has impacted Pak and Afghan.
These videos gives answers to all those people (in US and Afghan) who blame Pakistan for all fight and disaster in Afghanistan.
Lastly, PM I think after viewing these videos you will start replying to such questions by starting from 1993-95 rather then post 9/11.
(The above came to my mind after seeing your answers to PBS, in this video and earlier interviews)

Raja Zafar ul Haq, former Pakistan ambassador and a senior senator says that Hamas has been trained by Pak Army. Pakistan has always trained terrorists & does so even today. The best terrorists are trained by Pak Army…this is the compliment he received, he says.

In 2010, a senior Taliban leader Abdul Ghani Baradar was arrested in Pakistan, where he was staying with Pak Govt permission. Baradar was released in 2018.
On release, Taliban appointed Baradar the head of negotiating team in Qatar. He was in touch with Russia, India and Iran.

A Pak Army soldier appeals to his Army Chief Gen Qamar Javed Bajwa to take action against the

government. Many Pakistani soldiers are deeply hurt as Maulvis and religious leaders are being beaten and killed. There is simmering resentment within the Pakistan Army.
