That was awesome that day i wish i could live it over and over again!!!!!!!! They melted my face off.....AWESOME TIME...cant believe i got so close up!
The tour manager seems to really enjoy his time on stage. I wonder if John doesn't like it when his being showy on the part where they scream "I! - I! feel like a monster!" I know I wouldn't. I'd feel like "Dude, I'M the singer"
@Whammywon He uses a Dual, you clearly can see it in the gear tour he did for Guitar Edge. He also uses a Vox AC30 head for a "dirty clean" tone, and for his lead tone he runs both amps together.
the turkey leg took 45 minutes to make and i waited the whole time. i wasnt going to skillet hungry. I ended up getting a philly cheese steak and a turkey leg for free
@Cobyt501st Idk about Korey, but ben uses a Mesa boogie & a Vox. He switches between them for different sounds. The Mesa is for the more distorted stuff like this, while the vox he uses on the lighter distortion like his leads in Whispers in the dark.
@BlackRose2222 Yes, he does in fact still play bass. however, he chooses not to on a few songs. such as Hero, Monster, and The Older I Get. So he can focus more on singing. He does play everything else tho.
By Dio using it, it became very popular in the metal genre. Gene Simmons also uses this symbol, he got it from Spiderman comics. (is Spiderman satanic?) The symbol is ALSO used in baseball if there are two outs in an inning.......so NO, it ISN'T satanic....as @ notjustanothersk8er stated, "unless the person INTENDS it to be"
Seriously, guys, the horns USED to be a satanist sign, but these days it's just come to mean "rock on" or something like that. Skillet is a Christian band. If the sign was still satanist, they wouldn't be using it. And most metal isn't satanist. It's awesome. X)
@GrungeGodThenNIRVANA somone already said this. but the "Crowd" you see are the people who bought these $100-$500 tickets to stand in the front 30 ft or so. all of THOSE people are the "Dull" people. the croud was insane behind me, i was as close as i could get with standard admission. =
@Soroki121 I think most christians would agree with you on that, there's always a few (especially on TV) who like to think they are doing gods work my laying judgement, in other words accept Jesus and his teaching with their lips and then deny them with their actions. Unfortunately it's one of the many things that an already unbelieving world finds so unbelievable. Having said that, we're all human and we all mistakes, we're not perfect. Not condoning their actions, simply stating an opinion.
@notjustanothersk8er Doesnt matter how "Christian" you say you are. Theres a difference between what you say is being Christian and really being Christian. Giving the horns is satanic. Look it up. The main reason people have ever done that sign is not because of rock/metal music I can assure you that.
@erosar10 "The main reason people have ever done that sign is not because of rock/metal music I can assure you that. " you are WAYYYY off. The only way that the 'Rock on' sign would symbolize a satanic meaning would be because of *someones* superstition......and IT HAS been primarily used for rock/metal music...when Ronnie James Dio was with Black Sabbath he had THIS as a type of signature, to HIM it was to ward off the Evil Eye, which is Italian and he learned it from his Grandmother.
@notjustanothersk8er ya think about all those texas long horn fans.... im SURE their not worshiping satan in throwing up their horns. (i hate texas by the way)
That was awesome that day i wish i could live it over and over again!!!!!!!! They melted my face off.....AWESOME TIME...cant believe i got so close up!

ben is a beast (the main guitarest)
The tour manager seems to really enjoy his time on stage. I wonder if John doesn't like it when his being showy on the part where they scream "I! - I! feel like a monster!"

It's in Dropped B live, dropped c in record.
ya its is a PRS and it does look like the mushok
Dat baritone
@ThatOtherDood He says he feels like a monster...not that there is a monster. He says he has the capacity to sin and that capacity is his "monster".
Yea, the part at 2:25 only works inside when it's dark.
I would love to be able to play/sing while my fiancee plays on guitar. Or just plays in the band with me.
Like John and Kory from this band.
the guy playing on the bass is awesome. john is cool. but the guy is just funny
@Grievous1997 thats because it is Ben. this is from 2009. vid from 2011 (with Seth on guitar) will be up later today.
@Cobyt501st Idk about Korey, but ben uses a Mesa boogie & a Vox. He switches between them for different sounds. The Mesa is for the more distorted stuff like this, while the vox he uses on the lighter distortion like his leads in Whispers in the dark.
@joshwinger no its just... "heavier" or bassier you could say. and his voice is deeper live than on the album
@joshwinger no you are correct. they played it a half step lower during that tour series. they no longer do that though.
2:25 EPIC WIN xD
He left so that he could start up a recording studio with a few of his friends in Kenosha Wisconsin
@joshwinger actually from what I'm hearing I think it's a key higher.I may be wrong though
@tylerammon they play it live in drop b though
@joshwinger no u r right
@joshwinger oops I meant i think it is a key lower not higher.Sorry : P
@hostagehead7 its played in drop C
@private1456higa because the guy playing bass is their tour manager. and john i would assume couldn't go without playing bass
nope this was HEAVEN FEST aug. 8th. in Brighton Colorado...
@tylerammon i thought it sounded more in drop d but i could be wrong
@BlackRose2222 Yes, he does in fact still play bass. however, he chooses not to on a few songs. such as Hero, Monster, and The Older I Get. So he can focus more on singing. He does play everything else tho.
@tylerammon im pretty sure this "performance" is in drop b
By Dio using it, it became very popular in the metal genre. Gene Simmons also uses this symbol, he got it from Spiderman comics. (is Spiderman satanic?) The symbol is ALSO used in baseball if there are two outs in an inning.......so NO, it ISN'T satanic....as @
notjustanothersk8er stated, "unless the person INTENDS it to be"
@Sn1p3Production (which one?) the guy playing bass is their tour manager... the new guitarist is seth morrison
@afk222 nah. its pre-recorded.
@brt927 You hate us, but we still love you brother, no matter what.
Seriously, guys, the horns USED to be a satanist sign, but these days it's just come to mean "rock on" or something like that. Skillet is a Christian band. If the sign was still satanist, they wouldn't be using it. And most metal isn't satanist. It's awesome. X)
the "growl" was recorded =(
just for a few songs, so john can focus on singing
That really looks like ben in there.....
this live version is in a different key than the album version. I think it's lower. Am I wrong?
@GrungeGodThenNIRVANA somone already said this. but the "Crowd" you see are the people who bought these $100-$500 tickets to stand in the front 30 ft or so. all of THOSE people are the "Dull" people. the croud was insane behind me, i was as close as i could get with standard admission. =
@nepatriottimb thanks, this answers lots of my questions. funny thing is that i never liked Vox.
@Soroki121 I think most christians would agree with you on that, there's always a few (especially on TV) who like to think they are doing gods work my laying judgement, in other words accept Jesus and his teaching with their lips and then deny them with their actions. It is a lower key. Thats just my opinion though. I wasn't there.
The pizza was so over priced there. Seriously?!? 7$ for a freaking piece of pizza? That was so much fun though.
what kind of guitar amp do they use?
the light display is kinda useless during an outdoor day concert
wow i would really like to hear John scream the monster voice but ... its pre recorded ??? :D
@notjustanothersk8er Doesnt matter how "Christian" you say you are. Theres a difference between what you say is being Christian and really being Christian. Giving the horns is satanic. Look it up. @GrungeGodThenNIRVANA About the Satanic part, I'm cracking up too because they are a Christian Rock Band.
@Vincentdrummer16 i know it sounds gay but its actually pretty kickass only downside is that security likes to break up mosh pits
why isnt he bassist?
You mean shake..?
@erosar10 "The main reason people have ever done that sign is not because of rock/metal music I can assure you that. " you are WAYYYY off.
