But he may be for mental reason also. But the majority of the people you see homeless in America just figure out a way to make money wether in a good or bad way may vary. Sadly a lot of the time it’s a get it how you live thing. So if they are older they prolly do receive some type of assistance or mentally not there or disabled. But the check they receive isn’t even enough for a 1 bedroom apartment now. I had a problem with opioids just prescribed medication luckily and was able to turn it around thank god. One of the hardest things I’ve ever done but usually with addiction there’s a core problem that leads down that road. So either they have to be fed up living like that or get help with the thing that causes the depression and everything surrounding the addiction. But usually comes down to the person having to want it and make that decision first not be forced or they just go back to it.
I remember this guy he's from India. He and his brother were kicked out by their mom and dad because of their drug use. His brother died in March. So SAD to see him like this.😢❤
As a mother of a child living life like this; I'm down to my knees and prayed and claimed to my good Lord for the liberation over my son's life 🙏 and he did it. Now my son is free of drugs, alcohol. He can broke any chain ⛓️ I praying about this town.

Pain from what though? Thats why we have therapist. Drug use is a cop out. Yes we should all care enough to force him into rehab because he clearly wont until hes forced. Want to save his life? I’m 280 days clean and sober anybody who reads this if you’re going through it just know you can overcome any curveball life throws at you and when you hit rock bottom the only way to go is up from there! If lost so many friends/loved ones I know it’s hard but just take it step by step you can’t change your entire life overnight everything takes time hard work & dedication!! Mar 2021 I been clean ever since and yes it hard and yes u have hit bottom and find god it how I over come it I told no rehab take me but I put faith in god listen to him even when so many demon in my head I follow god he lead me away from drugs

Addiction is awful. My daughter is a recovering addict and finally finally finally went into residential treatment. It's a year long program and I can't be more thankful. I've seen my daughter die and given CPR and narcan. It hurts to see that.
To him everything he is doing makes perfect sense, all his actions are justified, everyone and everything around him is the problem. I really hope he finds his way out of this dark place.

Talk to your kids. Always. Tell them everything. Explain everything. Show them what it does. Don't leave anything out. Also tell them the risks. How everyone is different and you can die even if it's your first time because you don't know how your body will react to the drug. How your body motabilizes it. Everything!!!!! I tried everything to save him, it also comes from within to stop. He was addicted from that first high. Always searching. It was like a demon had a stranglehold on him. Drugs aren't fun until you try them, and they stop being fun so fast. There is no "Enough drugs" either. "Enough Drugs" is a Fatal Overdose. The Line between "borrowed Time" and getting sober and Healthy is thinner than Hair. I know from experience when the Drugs stop being fun, it's time to give up on getting high. It's really a waste of time. There is never enough and you want it anyway, even though you don't want to want it, you still want the Drugs anyway. It's sad so many people know people and even have loved ones who are in this state.
No one ever remains sober cleaning up for someone else. You have to want to do it for yourself. Unfortunately addicts usually do not have a good self image, no self respect or love for themselves, no confidence and it becomes a vicious cycle, hard to escape. An addict who believes in his core, may find the strength to recover.

It's pointless to try to help someone that doesn't want it or isn't ready. It took me a 16 month prison sentence to get clean. Jails don't care and have the bare minimum for resources. Prison shocked me with theirs so I took full advantage and even earned college credits. That isn't happening in any jail.

I’m 280 days clean and sober anybody who reads this if you’re going through it just know you can overcome any curveball life throws at you and when you hit rock bottom the only way to go is up from there! Addiction is awful. My daughter is a recovering addict and finally finally finally went into residential treatment. It's a year long program and I can't be more thankful. I've seen my daughter die and given CPR and narcan. It hurts to see that.

Drugs aren't fun until you try them, and they stop being fun so fast. There is no "Enough drugs" either. "Enough Drugs" is a Fatal Overdose. The Line between "borrowed Time" and getting sober and Healthy is thinner than Hair. I know from experience when the Drugs stop being fun, it's time to give up on getting high. It's really a waste of time. There is never enough and you want it anyway, even though you don't want to want it, you still want the Drugs anyway. It's sad so many people know people and even have loved ones who are in this state.

Some people take pills to get boners, others take pills that make the voices go away, some take drugs to help accomplish a task. Besides you can be dumb & sober too. It's pointless to try to help someone that doesn't want it or isn't ready. It took me a 16 month prison sentence to get clean. Jails don't care and have the bare minimum for resources. Prison shocked me with theirs so I took full advantage and even earned college credits. That isn't happening in any jail.

@@theexisting1197 Of course. I forgot to mention that I chose to get released in a city I'd never been to which also had the best resources in the state as far as halfway houses, follow up treatment whether in patient or out patient and many shelters of which I stayed at a few.
