Hi Tornado922. Great film at Pratteln. Those 521s and 523s even accelerate faster than the 800s when they leave UK stations. Porrentruy is pronounced "pon-twee". Looking forward to watching the next rush hour film at Zurich Central. Kind regards, Chris.
That seemed like some station for freight. Did you ever find out what that loco was, that you said, you'd never saw before. Are you on some form of Ranger? Hope you enjoyed your hols in Switzerland.
It's probably the best station I've ever been to for freight trains. In regards to the loco that I wasn't familiar with I've had a few comments telling me it's an 843. I had a lovely time over here thank you
Wonderful video. Unfortunately, without the full length from England to Scotland of HS2 there is not the paths for lorry trailer trains, which would have been good as it would take a large number of lorries off the UK roads.
Thanks very much, it is a shame that HS2 is getting cancelled from Birmingham upwards as there could have been so much potential for new railfreight to take shape
Best station, traffic wise, on your rail trip. So much freight, I can understand you wanting to spend the day, quite a bit of passenger as well. Don't believe lorry trailers on trains would work in the UK, cost would be one and loading would be the other. Many thanks
This is up there with one of my all time favourite stations for sure, I will definitely be coming back here at some stage. I can see where your coming from in regards to the logistical issues faced with taking trailers by rail
Super film

Have loved this . Like the locos they look sleak
They have some stunning looking trains over in the continent
Excellent video! Switzerland is a fabulous country for watching the trains with so much variety with cross border traffic.
Thanks very much, I have always loved Switzerland and to have a chance to do a film from here was something I was never gonna pass up
Great video at pratteln
Thanks very much :)
nice Video
Thanks very much
Another amazing international film! Always wondered what it is like for filming in countries, is there a sign in process like some stations in the UK?
Thanks very much, during my stay in Europe I just turned up at station and started filming. I had no issues with any staff members unlike the UK
where is the best place to stand for trainspotting at peterborough?
I would say for the freight traffic that the northern end of platform 4 and the southern end of platform 4 is good to see the 700 wizzing in and out.

I guess there's so much freight because Switzerland has no sea-ports, so goods must go in and out either by air, road or rail.
Switzerland is an amazing country to go to if you wanted to travel around by train
Alot of flatwheels
commonplace amongst freight trains around the world it would seem
