Yes thank you for showing your hair after a wash with no product. I swore You had a wig on. I’m glad it’s not! God bless your beautiful hair! My daughter has the same curls, maybe a slight tighter. I can’t wait to do her hair with these products. I have wavy fine hair so I’m not used to doing her hair. I just let her add more conditioner when she gets out the shower and it dries very pretty. But I’m gonna try the Jessy and not your mothers. I’m subscribing!
thank you so much for this. im a teen and one of the very very few people in my entire huge family with curly hair. as a kid, my parents didnt know how to handle it so my hair was absolutely horrible looking and frizzy for years. especially since ive turned 13, my hair has gotten even curlier (3b,3c) and because no family could teach me how to care for my hair, it became even more unmanagable. i used to completely douse my curls in gel and pray. iver quarantine i havent been putting in as many products and have been wearing my hair natural and with it short, its basically an afro. my mom has said some nasty comments about my hair but i feel confident now to wear my hair natural and now im determined to treat my hair right. thank u
I literly went through the same thing. I straightened it my entire life and I just wearing it curly at 13 but it was long so I got used to my curls long they were easier and looked cute but then I cutted it because I got bored and needed the heat damage to be cutted and I’m still trying to love it the way it is it gets freezy a lot but working on the confidence
Considering how (and I’m assuming a little here) your mom contributed to your curls, that’s pretty sad. Way to go on finding the confidence within. Similarly, my mom always permed her hair up until about 10 years ago, but she had no idea what to do with my 3c curls. The gel situation was real for the first few years. Then I discovered the flatiron because I went to a predominately Caucasian school (twice) where no one liked that I was different. It took several years to grow out the damage. I’m with you, girl, let that hair out!
Soo these past few days have been a struggleee. Everybody keeps telling me to relax my hair, that I’m not going to be loved etc etc and this video is keeping me going 😊
Hey girl, I feel you. My mom is Chinese and my dad is black, and I came out with all his Afrocentric features. When I was younger, my mom would straighten my hair all the time and would reinforce the idea that my hair was only "proper" or "beautiful" when it was straightened to the point were I relaxed it. Worst decision ever. I thought the damage was going to be irreversible, but in a few years, I was able to grow my hair out again. In the end, to each their own. But I wish I learned to love and care for my natural hair earlier.
Girl when you showed your hair unstyled I just about cried because I was scared this wouldn't work for my hair texture because your hair looks so neat and perfect and I have almost the exact same hair texture. Thank you so much for making this. I cannot wait to try this
I've gone literally year...YEARS, trying to find someone w the same curl pattern/texture as mine seeing as I went natural almost 2 years ago and most days I just cant get my hair to cooperate. this has helped me so much!!
Wait ! What? Years looking for her curl pattern. All you have to do is type 3c curl pattern. 3c or any other pattern isn’t anything special. I have 3c patter and it isn’t special or hard to find. I see lots of Hispanics with it all the time.
Thank you for showing us your hair without product! I am 12 and still learning how to deal with my hair, most of my family with natural hair lives out of town so I don’t know how to handle it. I love watching your channel, and it really helps me with doing my hair! Love you!!❤️🦋
I recommend you try using a satin bonnet or anything silky wrapped around your hair at night. I used to wear my hair up at night too, but now I wrap my hair in an old silk dress and it does wonders! I wake up with bouncy and moisturised hair, and all the goodness of day 1 hair is preserved into day 2!
Don't be afraid to cut the over damaged hair ! I know it sounds super scary but i relaxed my hair for years ( as did my sisters ) and i decided to do 1st big chop, the curl pattern kinda came a little bit back but it still wasn't it, so i did another big chop like a year and a half later, i was almost bald haha ! But really after the second big chop my hair looked great, I learned how to take care of it and i'm really glad today with it, same stories with my sisters ! Sometimes when your hair as been down for a while it really takes a long time to get it back, but it can come back :)
@@jessicaelame2624 Yes a big chop is great I literally did not want to cut my hair and I couldn’t get nice curls but then I cut it shorter and in layers and I started to see nice little ringlets and tightened curls start to appear cutting it was the best thing I could do
I'm a guy but this is very helpful for someone learning to take care of not quite 4A but little more than 3C hair. Thank you for the guide! And of course thanks to my girlfriend for caring so much about my hair's health 😅
I can’t thank you enough!! I started my hair journey from ground zero. I made it my business to never use brushes or combs. Thankfully, with finger twisting and good hair maintenance, I finally got long hair!! I was using just detangle combs, but i was constantly fighting bad frizz😮 You have saved me from doing something crazy!! I followed your process and have beautiful healthy looking curls now!!
This video is so awesome, and I really appreciate you showing us your hair with no product at all. It really helps me to understand that it's a whole process and how each step works. And, now I feel like I can do this too because our hair is very similar. So beautiful. I feel motivated. THANK YOU
Omg. This tutorial has saved my life. It might sound silly and simple but my hair type is very close to this and school was a nightmare cuz I didn't know how to properly care for my hair. Thank God for RUclipsrs like you. I honestly hated my hair before and would be so baffled about how ppl got such perfect curls. I never realised until recently that you can't comb or style curly hair wet. I’m curious- what do people say or how do they react in public when you’re wearing your hair like this? I like to think of myself as being pretty cool, but I think I’d be staring at you like some kind of freak because this style is abnormally stunning. I just don’t see people with hair this amazing in my regular life. Are you bothered constantly by people trying to touch it? Are you bombarded with compliments?
Thank you SO Much for your videos. I have gone several years of hating my curls to being excited and loving my hair because of your tutorials. You are such an inspiration! Again, Thank you!
Im white with white parents, and i have curls. When i was younger my mom never learnt how to take care of it, i took care of it as if it was straight hair like theirs. In 2020 i decided to do more by scrunching, plopping, etc, but can never afford real products for my curls. Now, after a ton of convincing i finally got a denman brush, curl cream, leave in condition, a bonnet, etc! I dont know completely how to use them all, and videos like urs really help, seriously. Thank you. (In which, before anyone says its not that bad to take care of it that was and that i just wont appear nice, i had to cut off 8 inches of dead hair because of the damage it did)
I’m a mother to a beautiful little girl. I’m white and my husband is from Africa. I’m not a girly girl and had no idea how I was going to take care of my daughters hair . I’ve tried different things and her hair still looked dry and frizzy. I asked numerous people and struggled, but with all my research I was still lost. Until Natasha. Her videos have helped extremely and now my daughter has beautiful hair. Her curls pop. A big THANK YOU to Natasha.
This is literally the best wash & go tutorial I've seen on youtube for our curl pattern/texture.. l'm like blown away. I'm a 2-3 product MAX girl and cannot even be bothered to take with the amount of time you even took to do my hair... BUT i'm inspired by that VOLUME. That awkward flatness!!! hit the nail on the head there :P loved this vid, thank you!
Wow. This was very helpful. Thanks for showing your routine. I have a son and his hair is curly like yours and I have straight hair so I wasn't sure about what I needed to do to make his hair look more defined and now I do thanks to your tips.
I'm so glad i found someone that doesn't use a brush after using styling products. I been finger raking since b4 curls were a "thing" and would always get compliments on my curls (3b). Then when curls came back with a vengeance, and all these curly hair enthusiasts/ influencers. I found myself trying these new techniques. The brushing the product Thru my hair. And always found that i had no consistent curl pattern, no definition and more frizz than I wanted. Also found that i would lose half the the product I just applied bcuz of "brushing" it after. So basically I need to go back to basics. Like they say "why fix what aint broke". I'm gonna try the curl products you recommend and the finger definition! love your hair !! ❤
Thank you so much for this video. I’m just starting my curly hair journey after having really damaged hair and this was great instruction as to what to do. thank you😊
My hair is buzzed, but I just love watching your tutorials. Your hair is beautiful and your voice is so soothing. I know it’s not hair related, but a tutorial on your makeup and brows would be awesome. 🖤💓
I feel like we almost have the same hair im still on the healthy hair journey but I can see the similarities I also use Jessie multi cultural and that Shea moisture shampoo& conditioner thank u so much for the tips I love volume too💖💖
You have the most beautiful hair. I love your tutorials. I purchased all the products you have suggested. I'm going to embrace my curls.they may not be as beautiful as yours, but i can atleast try it. I'm tired of hiding my curls with straightening products. Thank you so much Love & ☮🕊🌹
My hair is frizzy dry and unmanageable , I had no clue on what to use on my hair . After watching your short video I was so existed to try your hair routine out . Thank you ! I learned a lot and can’t wait to see results
Love it! I keep pausing and researching all products!! My hair has been like this all my life but never ever looked as healthy as yours!! Absolutely beautiful!!
It’s so nice finding someone with the same hair type! I’ve been straightening my hair for pretty much four years straight 😀 and I somehow still have my curls (thank you heat protectant). So I’m trying to find ways to wear it and love it on its own. Your videos have helped me so much! 💗 I’ve been using the olaplex no.3 and I honestly can not believe the results
I LOVE LOVE LOVE how you describe each and every video, so detailed. Please don’t change that! I’m always confused watching curly videos but you’re my new number one! You are beautiful and have beautiful curls!!! Now I feel more confident trying to get my curls this way. Thank you!
First of all...I'm a middle aged caucasian woman and I LOVE this video. I have had extremely curly hair my whole life... and struggled with managing the curls. Because of my age, my hair is now bone dry, in fact, brittle. I have resigned myself that my glorious hair days are gone....UNTIL your tutorial. THANK YOU!! I am getting these products today and trying your routine. 🤗. My one question is about showering on non-wash days.... how do you protect your hair...or does it even matter?? My hair gets really frizzy just from the shower mist. You are THE best!! Thank you! 💟
Your hair is goals 😍 You really are my hair twin, except my finger coiling doesn’t seem to work as well to get all the curls uniform like yours (I have different curl types on my head 😞) I need to try your hair cutting technique so I can get this shape and curl uniformity, but I am nervous I wouldn’t cut it evenly. 😅 Thank you for the detailed tutorial. Awesome video. I am definitely gonna try something - you are gorgeous! ☺️
Wow this was Gr8. Nobody ever shows the whole drying process. And she threw in how to sleep with it and care for it the next day. You go curly guuuuuuuuuurl.😄
This video is the best one I have seen. I love how you show how and what to use. My curls needs all these products. I am going try we have similar hair texture too.
This is a dope ass simple routine. My hair will be this length in about 6 months so I’ll be doing this then (can’t quite get my hair in a pineapple without forcing it yet)
Love love your hair. You are doing it!! ❤️ My daughter who is 4 has similar hair. Still working on a good hair process for her. I will be buying your recommended products. Thank you!!!
LOVE love love this tutorial - I have almost the same curl pattern but! with super fine hair, going to try this! I already use Not Your Mother's curl gel, it really does smell amazing and I'm going to go get the other products. I use a de-tangling brush in the shower as well right after I put the conditioner in, then I rinse it out. Your hair routine has taught me so much! I have been flat ironing my hair (Bad I know!) but this makes me want to embrace my curls now that I know how to manage them! Thank you!!!
Had to stop video at 3:23, come run & show you some love. You've clearly answered an earlier question on what products. Why I love your videos, you go in depth, product info & completely transparent. Saving ma coins. Thanks 💖👑
Thank you for showing the routine without a product on your hair. It helps a lot in understanding that the curly hair looks different than when it has any products in it. I thought that I could not do the same with my hair, just because it is more damaged and I have different curls. But now I can see that it is possible! So my next mission is to search for the products which would style my hair the best. It is more difficult in a country, which is not that multinational, because we do not really have a wide choice of products for curly hair. The hair products market in Poland, Slovak or other CEE countries is quite focused on straight hair, luckily we can shop online (nevertheless the price is 3-4 times higher than would be in US or more 'mixed' countries in Europe).
Looked at this video and thought 18 minutes? No way. But I sat through every second. This is by far the best tutorial and I have watched sooo many over the past few weeks. Subscribed!!
Yes I love this...its so hard for me to find products that my hair will not stop liking..I'll definitely try the finger coil because I deal with a lot of frizz
HE'LL YEAH GIRL, I'm on the go this girls hair is beautiful, I got the same kind of hair, between sleep and on the go what Goin do?? Business and the world you gotta go after u start aging!
I get it, it’s definitely harder. But at least she doesn’t do this everyday. It last for several days. Plus the curls are beautiful. I just need to figure mine out.
I usually don’t watch videos like this coz it’s repeated information all the time but I clicked this so fast when I saw the 3 day curls 😂 and did I learn something NEW! Thank you!!
So true very unique! I have 3 a 3b and my hair is so manageable now that I am a natural past 3yrs. I couldn't always say that until I had to learn my hair. I've retrained my curls so beautifully! Thank u Jesus. Thank u 4 ur comment very sweet!❤
Amazing hair. Wow! the best Ive seen and her curls are cooperating fully . I use the plopping method because its the only way my hair will be curly and not an afro I will now try her finger curling, then plop and Im sure it will come out as nice. I just love her hair. !!!
I tried the whole routine today, to my suprise the finger coils came out really nice, I trimmed it too after watching your vid on how to cut it. It doesnt have the same volume as yours tho cos I dont have as much hair as you, but I'm happy with the results, its soft and shiny with amazing curls 😊 thank you.
I find it so hard to find tutorials for natural 3c curls without running into wigs, hot tool hairstyles which I'd prefer to avoid for the time being. I just started my girl journey only a year ago and it's still a challenge. Thanks for sharing the video. I'd love to see what styles you may have in mind for a work setting. I mostly put my hair into a bun or just down. Sometimes it just feels like using hot tools has more options but I just don't know how to style my hair lol. Thanks again.
Thank you so much for this video! I really needed info on how to refresh as well as defining my curls.... I was combing way too much with a comb instead of my fingers. Now I use a detangling brush and noticed a huge difference.
Wow...great stuff to know. Thank you for sharing your knowledge. As a guy growing out my hair for the first time in my life (39 yo) I have very curly hair and growing out long before I turn them to dread locks but in the meantime until I lock them up I’ve used rice water and alternated with lavender and moringa oils and it blows my mind how fun it is to have nice hair lmao....again, as a dude, I never thought I’d say that but anyways your hair is so amazing...thank you
Honestly after I found out you can make homemade/natural gel with flaxseeds, Ive never used anything else 😍 You can buy a little bag for like 2 dollars at the supermarket in the healthy section (make sure its whole flaxseeds) not ground cuz that leaves white particles in your hair, take 2-4 tablespoons (it depends on how much and how thick you want the gel), a cup of water and boil it for 5-10 minutes till the consistency is like egg whites, strain it as much as posible, put in the refrigerator to cool/thicken and then boom! Healthy homemade hair gel. I also ad a little of my Aveda curl cream I still had left over, a little bit of avocado oil or any other *moisturizing or hydrating oil* I can get from the supermarket (coconut is also a good option), I mix it well with the gel and just style my hair with that. You can ad a little bit of leave in or any other curl cream if you want like I do but most people just use the flaxseed gel by itself, I personally like the more creamier consistency and I always ad a bit of hydrating oil to the flaxseed gel but to brake up the cast a little after my hair dries I use a "sealing oil" like grapeseed oil, etc... They're all super cheap and healthy things most of them natural except the curl cream that I had left over that was like 30 dollars but because I mix it with all the other things I only need a small amount which has made that bottle last forever, also if any is leftover make sure to put it in the refrigerator because the flax has to get refrigerated. Hope this helps, sorry for the long comment. 😅✌
I came across your video on how to cut your hair at home and went to buy all the products you use! I’m so excited for my hair journey all thanks to you! Youre gorgeous and I love your vibe ☺️😘

yes ma'am!!! baby steps
Absolutely beautiful!!
this is the best tutorial I've seen !! the finger coiling really helped me
The perfection of your volume GIRL 😍😍😍😍
Thank you!
I am so happy ethnic hair is being celebrated again. Love you God gave you! I have virgin hair and will never use perms again ever. it's 20 years now
Welcome back RUclips hair twin 🤭 I have never done a wash n go, however now I know how to 😉 many blessings to everyone out there during this time 🙏🏼
First of all...I'm a middle aged caucasian woman and I LOVE this video.
You got this!! I'm rooting for you.
Just found your channel and you’re so lovely, calm and beautiful! Keep going, I loved this tutorial 😊
Wow this was Gr8. Nobody ever shows the whole drying process. And she threw in how to sleep with it and care for it the next day. You go curly guuuuuuuuuurl.😄
That’s what I was thinking 😂 she gave us the whole package gurl
Incredible results! And God bless you for having that much patience finger curling.
The most complete 👌💯 tutorial I've seen, from beginning to the next day... Watching from Dominican Republic.
This video is the best one I have seen. I love how you show how and what to use. My curls needs all these products. I am going try we have similar hair texture too.
Love the full look. My hair takes forever to dry. I air dry first and then diffuse like you.
I like the step by step you showed us and your not in a hurry to finish the video. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks 💖👑
ur curl pattern is absolutely beautiful I'm so jealous
I can tell you've regained hope and that is beautiful
I love you for showing your hair without products! My hair kills me when it's that dry!
Literally subscribed right away just cuz you’re so descriptive and transparent in this video!
Looked at this video and thought 18 minutes? No way. But I sat through every second. This is by far the best tutorial and I have watched sooo many over the past few weeks. Subscribed!!
We are hair twins! You inspired me to cut my bangs and I love your tutorials! Thank you so much for helping me out of my hair rut!
best curly hair tutorial ive seen deserves more views
Yes I love this...its so hard for me to find products that my hair will not stop liking..I'll definitely try the finger coil because I deal with a lot of frizz
Sooo cute! That pulling away from the scalp was such a good new tip for me. No more flat hair here. Thanks!
next time someone ask me why I don't wear my hair naturally curly, imma send them the link to this video #tedious 😩😩😩. Beautiful though!
Yeah, it does seem like alot of work!
Lol exactly you said what I was thinking hilarious
Thank you Natasha, This is the best tutorial for curly hair styling I've seen so far...:)
DARLING !! I loved every stage especially the end !
She really do remind me of a young Lark Voorhies 😍😍😍 beautiful!
THATS WHO SHE LOOKS LIKE!!!! Thank you....
I usually don’t watch videos like this coz it’s repeated information all the time but I clicked this so fast when I saw the 3 day curls 😂 and did I learn something NEW! Thank you!!
All hair types are beautiful... from straight to kinky but there’s just something special about 3C type hair.
So true very unique! I have 3 a 3b and my hair is so manageable now that I am a natural past 3yrs. I couldn't always say that until I had to learn my hair. I've retrained my curls so beautifully! Thank u Jesus. Thank u 4 ur comment very sweet!❤
Her hair looks 3b/c
@@genevaxo 3b. Her curls are too big to be 3c
@@yolokiddevon1352 hell no. They are too big
Her hair look like more a mix of 3b 3c than a whole 3c
Amazing hair. Wow! the best Ive seen and her curls are cooperating fully . I use the plopping method because its the only way my hair will be curly and not an afro I will now try her finger curling, then plop and Im sure it will come out as nice. I just love her hair. !!!
Your hair is so amazing!!!! I loved your tutorial. I am definately trying your method today !
😍...when the quarantine is over can you post a video of you doing someone else’s hair who has a different texture? (type 4)
Thank u so much for making video about curly hairs
YES! My hair waaay less curlier then hers (unfortunately) so I'd love to see would this routine work
@@sometimes2103 my hair type 4 n real curly when I use a real good product my curls be comin out real good
i watched the whole video and can not understand why someone would give you a thumbs down? just keep doing what your doing sis!
I am so jealous hating right now. That is beautiful hair before and after. BEAUTIFUL.
Your hair is GORGEOUS. I love the final look!
My hair is very much like yours, so thank you for the info girl! I got the best results with your method and products. ❤
Thank you so much for this video! I really needed info on how to refresh as well as defining my curls.... I was combing way too much with a comb instead of my fingers. Now I use a detangling brush and noticed a huge difference.
I don't even have this hair type, my 2c/3a hair is falling in clumps but I see this shiny curly goddess and I need to watch 🙌
Your videos are addicting. Thank you for helping through my healthy hair journey. Your also very adorable.
Wow...great stuff to know. Thank you for sharing your knowledge.
As a guy growing out my hair for the first time in my life (39 yo) I have very curly hair and growing out long before I turn them to dread locks but in the meantime until I lock them up I’ve used rice water and alternated with lavender and moringa oils and it blows my mind how fun it is to have nice hair lmao....again, as a dude, I never thought I’d say that but anyways your hair is so amazing...thank you
she said all the products i can’t afford lol.
Marshall and tj maxx has all the deals girl
Thank God u cant afford devacurl
Honestly after I found out you can make homemade/natural gel with flaxseeds, Ive never used anything else 😍
You can buy a little bag for like 2 dollars at the supermarket in the healthy section (make sure its whole flaxseeds) not ground cuz that leaves white particles in your hair, take 2-4 tablespoons (it depends on how much and how thick you want the gel), a cup of water and boil it for 5-10 minutes till the consistency is like egg whites, strain it as much as posible, put in the refrigerator to cool/thicken and then boom!
And all the products they don't sell in Canada :(
Not Your Mothers products are awesome, the curl cream and gel are both under $10. Cvs, Target.. Maybe walmart
Excellent video and so educational. The tips and exact products are really helpful. 👍👀😊🙂
The best and honest tutorial ever! Thanks a ton. Your hair looks LOVELY
I think this is the most helpful video I've seen for my hair. Thanks!!!
