Its nice to see more Symphonic metal bands coming into existence and this seems to give a little more dark tone to the genre. I like it! Great video too!
Check out our latest album "Voices from the Ocean". It has growls vocals in almost every songs :), but there is as well an acoustic ballad (July Rain), with only clean vocals! But we suggest you to listen the whole album ;) You can find it on spotify: play.spotify.com/album/3eA0uuTiE9hIfkCLrusWtE or on our webshop: norhod.bigcartel.com/
I am with this guy to be honest. I will be writing you guys a message since apparently you read the comments you get. Anyways, a huge part of the symphonic metal audience do not like growls at all and you are losing them because you insist on putting growls in every single song. I am not saying growls are bad or anything, but some people just don't like them. Maybe make a couple of non-growl songs in the album like what other bands including Epica, After Forever, Diabulus in Musica do? Maybe make use of an element that hasn't been exploited in metal yet; which is the classical male voice, not just the growling one? An example of the interesting classical male voice would be Thomas Vikstrom's feat with Diabulus in Musica: "Encounter at Chronos Maze". I don't normally comment on growling bands' youtube pages telling them to make less growling songs. But this band is very special and has a huge potential with such vocals, song writing, melody and instruments. I listened to Norhod a couple of months ago, got turned off by the vocals but today I just couldn't resist listening again. :) Wish you all the success.
For me, the harsh vocals lack depth. I feel as though it is just because they come in more during slightly less instrumentally involved parts. Black metal style vocals are complicated like that. But the clean vocals are a nice example of something I've wanted to hear in metal. I wanted to hear classical-style vocals for a while in a setting I'm familiar with, and here it is.
+Evening Rose Yeah, mix in a proper way such different voices is always difficoult. We costantly try to improve our compositions and in our latest album "Voices From The Ocean"we think we have managed this aspect in a better way, without combine the harsh vocals with the heavy part everytime but searching a good balance that fit every song in its own way. We hope you'll listen to it and make us know what do you think ;)
I still miss this band, where are you guyz...
You have very epic song endings, the last 30 seconds i can play over and over and never get bored of it.
ahaha Thank you! We hope you like the rest of the song as well ;)

+Evening Rose The "Beastly" low growls are quite good, but the "cancerous" ill skrik hurts. Maybe it was intended? :)
La musica è molto bella... peccato per la voce della ragazza troppo scontata e già sentita.
jesus. what's with those silly screeches? it sounds like gollum going through a pasta strainer
great female vocalist! Not a fan of the growling. Otherwise, it's good.
