- GoPro Family member + Soul Flyers pilot Fred Fugen shared a meaningful, mid-flight moment with his mother, a former skydiver herself. Fred met his mom mid-air for a dock as he was wingsuiting, while she was the passenger in an ultralight aircraft. Her dream of skydiving with her son became a reality. Happy Mother's Day from the Fugen family 💙

What a unique and fun bonding moment between mother and son!
Awwww............sharing such adventure with you MOM ❤❤❤
Man, that was really nice and unexpected! ❤
Soo cool! 👍
Awwwwwwwwweee, the way she kept her eye on her son is so sweet, a mother's love is indescribable! Happy Mother's day to all of you beautiful queens!!
That rotor was perfectly in sync with camera frame rate.
Rotor is turned off. The ultralight is in freefall and is falling at the same rate as the wingsuiter. The ultralight can fly like a plane with the rotor, but a wingsuit is essentially just falling with style. While falling way slower than parachuting, he's still headed straight down at at least 25mph. The video doesn't convey it well but they're sinking fast the entire time.
You can tell the rotor is turned off, because you can see reflections on it.

Nope. Free fall is when only gravity acts on the moving object. Both the ultralight and the wingsuit are gliding under the effect of gravity AND air resistance, not free falling, and the ultralight has adjusted its pitch, and therefore its glide ratio, to descent as as fast as the wingsuit.
@@pascalenbourg False, they are definitely free falling. Air resistance merely converts a little of the gravitational energy into forward momentum, but the movement is still only due to gravity - the definition of a free fall.
The ultralight has an engine it can turn on for powered flight and giving it energy from another source, but its turned off to keep up to the wingsuiter, so its current movement is also only due to gravity.
Wingsuits are always in free fall, and the ultralight is in free fall by choice.

Still, not free fall.
There is no such thing as "gravitational energy". I guess you mean kinetic energy.
Learn the basics. :)

You are welcome.
@@mustachio2 Learn what is "free fall" first before commenting. There is no such thing as "free fall" within the atmosphere. Very basic physics. And the movement is not only due to gravity since as you say yourself, air resistance is acting on the falling object and deflects its trajectory.
The rotation exactly matches with shutter speed ❤❤😮
Extreem Way!!! 🎉
Wow unreal, thats fantastic touch😍😍
💗💗
That's awesome, but, no way would i ever do such a thing.😮
wow.
Ok, it takes a lot for me to go- OMG that was cool!
THAT was- OMG that was cool.
I want to be Fred!
Wish I could do something like that
💙🥹
You guys need to drop your camera settings, this looks amazing!
🆒️
