iaido: The permitted differences in znkr kata's

A special thanks to Stefano Ferro sensei for allowing us to film this video at the Magglingen seminar 2023.
Essentially all practitioners of the ZNKR kata (seitei) perform the kata's the same. The exceptions to this are the noto and the handling of the sageo. These can be performed according to your koryu. This will be demonstrated in this video.

I liked it, but I didn’t. I feel like they need to practice strengthening their wrists. The snap was very weak or too fluent for me. Maybe it was just the demonstration but any Japanese iaido master I’ve ever spoken to or seen has had that wrist strength. You can see the snap even in practice.

We know what you mean. Sometimes when we look back on some of our performances, we will think something is missing or it needs a little something more. That is why we keep practicing.
