Ok So I am a dude. Don't wear makeup. Don't feel the need nor the desire to be honest. But I sometimes end up loving binge watching reviews. And I particularly love yours. I really enjoy watching you. You have a very relatable personality. It's also so cool for me that you take time to talk about you're life while basically, like in this case, doing your makeup in the morning. It's like your opening a door into your life and a part of your privacy, of your routine and it's both, I don't know, humbling and weirdly comforting and reassuring. I love watching your reviews in the morning with my cup of coffee. Anyway this is pretty random. But even though I will probably never buy any makeup, I thank you for you are very interesting and fun and enjoyable to watch. Corentin, in the middle of nowhere in France. Kisses
Can we just talk about how lovely this little community is? I’ve never seen any negativity and I love chatting with you guys in the comments. It’s always sweet and helpful!
Meg Alysssa, I absolutely agree. If everyone spoke to each other the way we do here, I believe a whole lot could be resolved. Stephanie, New Brunswick, Canada
Yes, I would love a week of just Too Faced Chocolate Bars!!😬🙌🏻🍫 The palette I am absolutely loving and can't put down and also you don't hear a lot of influencers talking about is the Too Faced Just Peachy Mattes. I thoroughly enjoy that palette and haven't put it down since it was released!!😍🍑 This was such a fun video..keep them coming!! Love you, Emily!!❤️😘 xoxoxoxoxoxoxo
Misty Parsons That is exactly to palette I was thinking of! I loved it but it came out right before all the holiday releases last fall and I feel like I got a ton of use out of it at first then never touched it again. But it is so gorgeous!
The just peachy mattes is a staple for me also...it’s one of the few that remains out and in constant rotation/uses....I use it more as a supplement palette ... The tartelette in bloom is another that gets a lot of use in my life....I have soooo many palettes and it’s those with staple mattes that stand out most :)
Emily, after your last video I actually started doing this. I started trying things from my collection that I haven't touched in a while and it has helped me declutter some things and ReDiscover others! Well done!
Marlena k8 Same!! My daughter saw my trash and said, “Wow, you just bought all this new makeup?”...I was like no I just threw all this old makeup away. 😂
KurlyMommy G is it bad that I have shoved the items that I throw away down underneath other garbage so nobody asks questions? LOL... I kind of feel guilty but it's very freeing at the same time.
To me, this type of video is more satisfying than normal decluttering videos. I'm always left wondering about certain products BGs talk about during decluttering videos. I just want to see them use them before throwing them away! Thanks for the content!
I really love these shop my stash videos! It's so much fun! I would love to see a chocolate palette week.... It's a good thing to go back to older palettes every now and then so we don't forget about them! Have a nice day! xoxo
I'm in awe of Belle being able to watch the Witch at her young age. When I was 10 (I'm 70 now) I remember watching the Wizard of Oz on TV (and back in the old days it only came on once a year--no videos, etc.). My parents were playing cards with some friends in another room. Just at the point people were looking up in the sky in horror, there was a commercial break. I was so scared to see that Witch again, that I turned off the TV and went to bed!
At 6 or 7, my mom took me to the movie (1940s). It scared me so much we left the theater part way thru. She wasnt the typemof mother who catered to her children, but she saw that I was genuinely afraid. I never have had an occasion to watch it, and should just to see what the heck scared me so much. 🤷♀️
@@Josh-pe5pl Oh, please watch it again The witch won't scare you now, but the rest of the movie is so lovely. Every time I watch it now, I can say the lines and sing along with the songs. Munchkinland is the best. It is such a charming movie.
I love this! Definitely would like to see more videos like this. While I love seeing you try new stuff I also love seeing you go back and talk about “old” products that maybe we’ve forgotten about.
Hi Emily, In North Carolina in a town called Beech mountain there’s a theme park for the wizard of oz called the Land of oz that opens in October every year for people to tour. It has props from the original movie.
You know, I still use the rose gold pallet from the Tarte Holiday collection in 2015. Something about that particular shade range, that formula (just in that one), I reach for A LOT. Its that rosiness on my skin tone/eyecolor/hair color is just very flattering and suits me.
I agree with blush!! Blush is MY FAVORITE makeup product I feel alive and complete with blush!! And Opal by becca is pretty much my daily highlighter because Jamie Genevieve uses it everyday!! And I absolutely love it!! Your skin is EVERYTHING
I couldnt agree more! My mom isn’t a particularly big makeup wearer on a day to day basis, but ALWAYS has blush, bronzer, and lipstick on, lol. Even when I was a little girl, and either not feeling well or just in a mood, she’d say, “come here, let’s put on a little blush, you’ll feel so much better” and sure enough I DID!!! To this day, I NEED blush everyday. It completely beings any and all makeup looks to life! And now that I have 2 little girls of my own (7 and 4) they will ask for “cheeks” anytime we’re going out to a party or special event. They’ve already caught the blush bug and understand it’s power! 💗
One of your recent videos made me curious about the original bare minerals so I bought it and it is a total game changer for me. I am a liquid foundation lover but I can’t believe the coverage and finish. It’s not powdery looking! Great to throw the little one in the purse with the mini brush! Would love to see a bare minerals video!!
Yes!! I watched a video from Shelbey Wilson and it was a game changer in terms of getting the proper technique! ruclips.net/video/Axk49ElTjJk/видео.html I've ordered a few new things that should be in later this week... so maybe sometime next week I'll do a little try on video! :D Total rediscovered gem!
Agree on the Bare Minerals Original. I rarely used foundation until my late 20s, and I found that one on QVC. I am in my mid 40s now and I have read that women over 40 could not use the original any more, but it still works for me. I just use daily SPF, let it dry down, and put Bare Minerals Foundation and little Mineral veil over the top. I liked their old school loose shadows too, but they seem to be moving away from those.
I love the idea of going back to all the Chocolate Bar palettes! Chocolate Bon Bons (the one you mentioned with the hearts) was my first eye shadow palette and I've been wanting to dip back into it for a while :)
How do you like the bon bon pallete? I have never bought a too faced pallete but would like to. Just not sure which is the best or if there all great in there own way! 💜
My kids, and I love the Wizard of Oz! I grew up watching the movie. Reading, and rereading the novel. I live 20 minutes north of Nashville. In 2004, Mickey Carroll, one of the actors who played one of the munchkins in the Lollipop Gang, went on tour. He came to Opry Mills. I was able to get two autographed messages for each of my children on the watercolors he'd painted. They are beautiful, and each painting is a Wizard of Oz theme. I was lucky enough to speak with him for 30-45 minutes that day. He was such a sweet man, and we stayed in touch until his death in 2009. His stories were amazing. He definitely lived a full, and interesting life.
Hmm I would have to say that the Too Face Chocolate Bar palettes have seriously been missing the love. Everyone has their favourite. I never got the White Chocolate because for me those light shades would not show up on my skin tone. However I love the Too Faced Chocolate Bar palette so much. Yet I rarely reach for it anymore. I think it is a great idea to do a Too Faced Chocolate Bar week using their different ones and do a comparison. They need the love again. Infact I will use my Chocolate Bar palette this week. I got a trick for the Candied Violet and the Guilded shadows that make them POP! hee hee
Adrienne Amor what you do is get some of the NYX Jumbo Eye Crayons and use it as a base. This way the glitter and pigment (works great for others as well) will cling to the colour you put down. I have them in Purple, Cobalt, Strawberry Milk, Milk for brighter effects, Rust and a couple others. I use them as a base like you would a primer. Work every time. I have The Balm Jovi palette and The Stroke on top of the Cobalt NYX Jumbo crayon is beautiful!
Mandy Adkins OMG you poor sweet girl! I would of been crying inconsolably for weeks. Not even kidding my eyeshadow palettes are my world. I have about 25 I have been collecting for over 3 years. It is so expensive and I had to scrape and save for some. Others I got half off at Sephora. My Chocolate Bar palette was the first full size palette I ever got at Sephora. I saved for 2 months to get it and it was 60$ CD so not cheap. LOL However I do love it so much. Especially Marzipan and Salted Caramel. Oh and Amaretto are just beautiful.
Fortunately it was one of the only palettes that got destroyed. My personal 36 pan mac singles palette was the hardest of the makeup I lost just bc it was so expensive to collect and put together.
Another chocolate bar is my favorite- the Semi Sweet! Most influencers have such medium feelings, but that is like my equivalent of the naked palette. I love it so much!
I declutter this way as well. I add something that doesn’t get much love into my daily makeup drawer and if I’m not liking it I get rid of it. I’ve found a lot of true holy grails using that method.
You are my NEW find!!! I may be 57yo but you blow me away. I had become too settled in being an older mother of a now 13yo son. And watching you has me laughing in the middle of the night. I LOVE your chattiness during your videos and the things you laugh at regarding just about everything. But, when you drop something you have this "surprised" look like "how did that happen" then you're back up and running instantly. And you don't edit out whatever just flew out of your hand!! However, while lying in bed (husband snoring - he's such a sweetie) I spend so much time watching your videos over and over. I'm learning a lot. Of course, being 57 I've worn so much makeup over the years having never been taught by anyone. I would just look at friends, family, just people in general and found my way to my own look. So after finding you I decided to declutter first; enough to fill several brands from Target to Sophora (did I spell that right?) and passing cleaned up slightly used product to my neighbor who only shops at Walmart. Seems I'm on to a new look and loving it!!!
The song they use was going to be the theme song before they went with "I don't want to wait." I think there was something with copyright use so that is why on the DVD's they went with the song you hear now.
A lot of times shows only licensed music for broadcast and when it came time for digital/streaming they couldn’t afford or get the rights to use the music. That will be true for a lot of the music, not just the theme song. Sometimes it really stands out.
So appreciate your authenticity Emily! You were the first beauty RUclipsr I ever watched! Still following you years later. Love our videos b/c your personality comes off so authentic and genuine. Blessings!
Emily please do a complete makeup routine for beginners or people trying to learn tips and tricks without going full glam!!!! Not talking about products for beginners necessarily, but strategy and application for those who have a smaller comfort zone!!! ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Listening to the excitement in your voice when you talk about the wizard of oz toy you found for Eve warms my heart. Us mommas get so much joy out of seeing our children happy. 🤗
Emily, I’ve been watching your videos since 2012, my first year of college. It’s seriously like watching a friend. Love that you’ve always stayed genuine and relatable. Thank you!!
nobody talks about the lorac original pro and the pro 2. I love the lorac pro palette for everyday shades and i have hit pan on 2 shades and almost hit pan on 4 others
These are my travel palettes. If im traveling or if i just have no idea what im going wear on a certain day. I pull those out. They are just so so solid and classic
I just need to say how incredibly awesome you are. You talk to us as if we were right there doing makeup right along side of you. Your knowledge about products and how best to use them is impeccable. I’ve always brushed on my powder, but you brought up a good point of how you should pat, pat, pat onto the skin so that it meshes together and just looks better. Makes sense!! I’ll be doing that from now on. You’re the BEST!!!!!
I’m on Keto with intermittent fasting and it’s been life changing in the best way for me. Losing weight, no more heartburn/indigestion, and more! I wish you guys luck in your Keto journey!
I love the TF white chocolate bar. The quality is really good, way better than the past ones. People just didn't give it any attention bc it's not the same old thing ppl buy and buy again like warm browns peaches oranges and reds. The Clover palette was bomb too.
You are such a great, thoughtful and loving mama!! I have SHES as excited about her Polly pocket set as I am remembering that Polly pockets even existed at a point in time 😂😂
So wonderful to hear you passing the torch of The Wizard of Oz. I, too, have lovely memories of it as a child. And, now as an adult, loving it every time it pops up on tv. As the girls get older, they can read the book and realize the difference of the two!
I love this series, Emily! And I love how you don't just do a typical declutter video just because that's how everyone else does it. You know what system works for you and why, so you stick to that. That's really helpful for those of us living real life to know that we can do the same.
I love these videos! It's so important to see videos where older makeup, even LE, is being used. We can't keep buying every new piece of makeup. As the older products disappear from youtube and social media we loose our excitment sometimes. That's why I think videos like this one are so important and lovely to watch! Thank you! Plus I love the mini declutter in the end. So much more realistic than throwing away half of your collection. PS: I wish I had the White Chocolate Bar, but I didn't see it in the UK. I got the Gold one which is aaaamazing!!!
Yes! It would be cool to see versus of makeup revolution versus their high-end counter parts. I know these have been done by other RUclipsrs, but Emily's reviews of eyeshadows are some of my favorite/ most trusted.
You’re my favorite to watch. Very honest and easy to understand. You give such good information. Also, as a mother of 2, I really enjoy listening your family stories ❤️
Omg the fact Belle loves Wizard of Oz warms my heart. I would watch that movie once a year growing up because there would be a special on tv once a year during the holidays(anyone else remember this?) I also had a WoZ music box growing up that would play “we’re off to see the wizard” and I would wind that many times over. I also had a “dreams that you dare to dream really do come true” jewelry box that made me cry when I received it, as I was going through my journey of becoming sober and that was my Dream. I remember also having a WoZ themed birthday party growing up and I dressed up Dorothy. to this day I still frequently use many of the film and books message and meaning in parts of my everyday life. And I hope for belle that she finds the magic in everyday. such a beautiful movie & I hope she never grows old of it as it truly is a classic. I’m 21 now if anyone’s curious.
The sparkly white shade under the green in this palette makes a beautiful inner corner highlight!! I would love to have this shade in a single shadow form. 💞💞💞
I’m in need of some calming and positive energy in my life right now so I’m going back and watching your older videos and it is brining my some peace. Thank you for being you. ❤️
thoughts on the new too faced born this way super coverage concealer? I'm hearing some great things about it and would love to hear your thoughts on it. I've heard it is like the coverage of shape tape but more hydrating, which is just what I'm looking for.
I LOVE this idea of decluttering sooo much better than just throwing things out or getting rid of them just for the sake of getting rid of them. It just makes so much more sense to me. I buy everything I have in my collection, so to just throw/give stuff away without giving it a final wear test... I have a hard time watching those types of videos. It's such a great idea to combine the 'Shop My Stash' with the 'Decluttering' video. Thanks Emily!
I'm extremely dry and my go-to is the Maxfactor Panstick foundation. I'm nw15 in MAC and can use fair 25 or 12 true beige in panstick. True beige is darker so it's for summer and fair is more pink toned. I'll often use both with the darker towards the outside of my face. I've tried so many stick foundations and nothing beats this $5 foundation as far as stick foundations go. My go-to for eyeshadow is the Gwen Stefani palette by urban decay. I love the quality and no matter what, it always looks good. If I need my makeup to be perfect, that's what I use. I've got viseart, abh, lorac, etc. That's the one i use though in a crunch!
I use to use the max factor pan stick a long long time ago, when I was in high school and I remember really liking it, I was more oily back then so I switched to a oil free, oil controlling something. But I'm not as oily now and I'd like to give that a try again. Cause I remember I really liked the finish and the staying power (other than I was super super oily) anyway where can I find it? I've not seen it in years. I use to get it at rite aid. My rite aid dont sell it, my rite hardly sells anything and they even changed to "walgreens" and didnt change the makeup section AT ALL. Who sells max factor now? I haven't seen anything from that brand. I use to really like some other stuff from them too.
Woah, this is one of the affordable foundations i can find. (i live in a small country the range is horrible) and i have really dry skin aswell, my skin is really light though so might have to mixing with whitener, but I want to try thanks to this comment! 😊
I am so in love with The Wants. I suffer from depression and it's difficult to get up most days let alone put on makeup. Your pallets have helped me so much.
The town I live in has a Wizard of Oz/Dorothy's House museum and gift shop (yes, I live in Kansas!). People can tour the museum, Dorothy's house, and various Wizard of Oz displays. Anyway...if there is something specific you'd like for Belle, let me know. I'd be happy to ship it to you!
Jan Robertson I also live in Kansas and have never heard of that place. Sounds kinda fun! Every time I travel and someone asks where I'm from, they'll make a joke about Dorothy or needing to click my heels three times to get home. Lol 😄
It's ok if you're driving through but not amazing enough to make a special trip :D But the gift shop is amazing and has the cutest items for little girls. They also have local high school girls who give the tours and are dressed as Dorothy. It's pretty cute.
i love the idea of this video. so often we are overloaded with new releases,we use them for a week and then are onto the next best thing. Thanks for finding a way to get us excited about the makeup we already own
My daughter was obsessed with the wizard of oz when she was about 3. She had to watch it to go to sleep. The wonder on her face as she watched it made my heart melt. I really think it helped her open her imagination.
The theme song to Dawson's Creek.. You're right that was the theme song but by the time they released the last couple of seasons on dvd and by the time Netflix and Hulu got the rights to it the creators of the show lost the rights to the song so they picked a new/likely cheaper song.
LOVED this video!!! The concept is perfect for decluttering/rediscovering makeup in one's collection. Also, I was a DIE HARD fan of Dawson's Creek!!!! I never ever missed an episode. When the last episode finally aired, that was a very sad sad day in my life. Lol! It's so cool to see where all of those actors are today.
I absolutely adore the White Chocolate Bar palette! I use it more often than any other palette in my collection. It is the only one I have that I can use every single color without it being too dark! Love it!
I actually JUST bought the Becca Sunchaser palette today at TJ Maxx for $14.99. I’m assuming that means it is probably discontinued now. I got that and the Aqua Luminous foundation for $12.99. Glad I decided to pick that palette up 😊
I just bought the Too Faced Semi Sweet there and I *hated* it. As it turns out, it’s 3 months from expired and apparently very dry. Might want to proceed with caution at the Maxx.
I actually bought the Natural Matte and Natural Eyes Too Faced palettes a little while ago at TJ Maxx, but I have yet to find the Semi Sweet palette near me. I follow the TJ Maxx Finds Instagram and I have seen soooo many people hauling that palette, but it is literally nowhere to be seen here in Ohio where I live. I even got a KVD Interstellar palette a few days ago and I just started seeing people finding those, so I am not sure why we haven’t gotten the Semi Sweet palette. (Oh, and clearly I have a TJ Maxx problem... I go like twice a week 😂)
I really love these shop my stash/declutter videos! I try to rotate my makeup every month but lately I’ve noticed I can’t seem to swap out my I Want Kandee eye shadow palette, for anything, lol! I’m obsessed! I just love how easily Too Faced shadows blend.
the selection of videos from you popping up on my youtube before I could search for anything is like a facebook ad, never knew I needed it but knows exactly what I wanted. Love love your videos.
I'm so happy you are aknowledging how good the Wizard of Oz still is! I grew up with this movie and it has been my favourite one for the longest time! And, you know, in the eighties there were no Wizard of Oz toys in Europe, so I it took me ages to make from scratch my own stuffed doll with wool yarn hair, mixing together the facial features and the clothes from both Judy Garland in the Wizard of Oz and June Allyson in Little Women (the good old 1949 version!)! Precious memories! Greetings from Germany!
SignorinaRottermeier Little Women was my favorite book when I was younger! I also read the sequels Little Men and Jo's Boys. I remember reading Little Women because it was worth 36 Accelerated Reader points. And that was more than I needed for the entire quarter. But I got hooked! I've seen the 40s movie as well as a newer version. The book is so long so no movie can properly cover it all. But I sure did love it! ❤️
Seeing how this video has been up for a few hours, I've scrolled through the comments to see that someone has explained the whole Dawson's Creek song ( good job my 90s teen adult 😂#paceyforever), seen some good palette series recommendations (with the upcoming release of the 4th Lorac palette (underwhelming top row, anyone else?) perhaps the Lorac pro palettes?) and especially loved the comment about the support and side comments always being had by the viewers...so any Emily viewers in the Philly area? I'm late to the comment party because I've been booking things for hubby and I's 2nd anniversary trip. Suggestions, recommendations, stay aways? Let me know guys! 😂 or travel makeup/skincare for dry skin 😬😳🙌
Oh my gosh, my daughter LOVED Wizard of Oz, too!! We even had a birthday party with large cutouts of each character. She’s 14 now, and that’s still her “favorite birthday.” ❤️ It’s such a wonderful movie!
I don’t think they had the distribution rights for that song. The same thing happened with most of the songs in Daria, which is a huge bummer. But who knew we’d all be streaming these shows in 2018?!
I've been doing keto and intermittent fasting and I'm loving it. I've been on it for about 5 weeks now and I've lost 17lbs. Most of all I feel so much better and have much better energy.
The o.g. chocolate bar was my first, and only, palette and it's still sitting in my drawer,i never opened it:i'm not that familiar with eyeshadows, bought it for the packaging.Might be the time to start its life.
i really love tartlette in bloom. its not the most crazy pigmented palette, but for someone not on camera that's honestly better. it builds up and its hard to really eff it up. I like every look i do with it.
Apparently they were going to use something by Alanis Morissette, but they couldn't get the rights. They really quickly recorded "Run Like Mad" (the song that they play now) and were going to use that. The WB, which is the network Dawson's Creek aired on, tied a promo for the show with Paula Cole's "I Don't Wanna Wait" and fans liked it so much that the creators got the rights and used that instead. "I Don't Wanna Wait" was used in North America, but "Run Like Mad " was used internationally. The copyright laws prohibited them from using "I Don't Wanna Wait" from anything other form of media. However, they were able to get the legal rights for the two part series finale.
I am absolutely obsessed with the Tarte Be A Mermaid and Make Waves eyeshadow palette, and I feel like it got passed over because people were so sick of unicorn and mermaid themed products. I like Tarte eyeshadows, but I will say 100% this eyeshadow palette is Tarte's finest. The shimmers are simply not like any other shimmers I have seen before from Tarte, and they are absolutely amazing without needing to wet the brush. I have no problems with blending the mattes. It is pretty much teals and rose gold tones with a sprinkling of champagne colors, so I also think a lot of people passed on it because a good portion of the palette is blueish green shades they would not wear. I love it, and this palette is just so good, and the packaging is stunning.
Megan Tipton yes! I actually used ALL of the lighter pink matte shade and I still can’t find an exact dupe for it. I used that palette pretty much every day for a good year. But that metal hole where that matte color used to be kills me!
I found this one off the beaten path- www.silknaturals.com/store/index.php/makeup-accessories/eyes/eye-shadow/analog-dusty-pink-matte-compare-to-ud-limit.html
This summer I have been obsessed with using my Becca Christy Teigen Palette for bronzer, eyes, blush! You have taught me that and I love the Laura Geller Baked Bronzer palette (with bronzer, french vanilla, and blush)!
I LOVE this type of videos because it isnt all the new stuff you feel compelled to rush out and get. It is very fun to see the things you really do like! 😊
I also have the Becca sunchaser palette and enjoy it! I don't pull it out as often as I should, thanks for the inspiration Emily! I don't think it's sold anymore, and I believe it was an Ulta exclusive
Lost 25 pounds in 2 1/2 months on keto. It completely wiped out my impulse or mindless eating. I admit I had days I ate something not strictly keto but always found it pretty easy to get back on track. I find I have so much more energy and a much more positive outlook. Keep with it!!
The palette I’ve been obsessed with is the tarte clay play volume II! I’ve been using it for months and it’s my go-to, it has everything I need for my everyday eyeshadow looks and a good blush bronzer and highlight, plus it smells so good like vanilla! They blend really nice as well, last I checked it was half off at either Sephora or ulta (maybe both?) but it’s definitely worth a try!
I have lost over 100lbs since eating keto for the last four years. I love it, it’s definitely doable if you allow yourself cheat meals here and there. I’ll eat this way forever. It’s actually been almost 5 years now, wow that’s crazy haha
Emily Gregoire whoa, way to go! I lost 40 pounds on keto in 2014, but gave in to temptation too much in between bouts of low carb, etc etc, and ended up gaining ten pounds back 4 years later. So I'm back at it with probably 80 more pounds to lose. If I can survive freaking keto flu that seems to go on for weeks and weeks I'm feeling like I can do it this time! You don't even want to eat carbs after a while, I find its only when I cheat a little bit that I have a hard time going back to low carb.
Susan P i agree! I never got the keto flu, but i did have bad postpartum depression which made me not want to eat for months, but my partner was super supportive and would make meals that are keto approved and i would force myself to eat until i got over the depression so once i was happy again it was just easy for me. I don’t even miss carbs anymore. I bought a loaf of gluten free bread (which i love) and it’s been sitting in the fridge about to go bad haha. I don’t even want to eat carbs anymore.
Emily Gregoire aww, that's awesome that you have so much support and people who believe in you. I've had family members who've really been counter productive to the lifestyle, or they were at first, anyway, and that's tough. I still feel like people can be judgy about it... I mean, like eating protein, dairy and green vegetables is really so revolutionary? ...lol. but you know how people can be! But yeah, the diuretic effect is brutal for me. I blacked out one time back in 2014, and that was pretty much the kiss of death for the diet when I started eating higher carb again because I couldn't stand the low electrolytes. I'm just thankful that I didn't gain it all back, just ten pounds! And it's a wee bit better this time. I'm doing better about eating more salt, which helps a little.
Wow! Congrats on your weight loss! That is an incredible accomplishment! I eat a ketogenic diet too for medical reasons, it's been about 2 years and I'll never go back to eating carbs and sugar and dealing with the negative side effects and bad health consequences!
Susan P i know what you mean, my family has always been supportive but at my old government job i had the people were awful and said i was idiotic for eating that way. 100 pounds later they are eating their words haha. You can do it though, you will lose those ten pounds again, maybe you should completely cut carbs out, like have a piece of gluten free bread here and there. Stuff like that. I still do that now and again when i really feel like eating something bad, i can’t believe i think of bread as “bad food” when i used to eat low fat i would eat whole wheat bread with fruit or something for breakfast and think that was healthy, then wonder why I’m hungry and a big b word ten minutes later haha
I love your videos. Feels like I’m just sitting down with a friend while we do our makeup and chat about it and our lives. You’re so real and I love it! ❤️
Dawson’s creek theme song - I think it’s bec Hulu doesn’t want to pay the rights to Paula cole. A lot of shows they have on there do that. Also, if you were a super fan, you may remember certain songs they played during certain episodes - they change those too. You see that a lot in 90210 episodes.
Such a great idea. I have been on the one week- One Pallet challenge. It really helps me get a feel for the pallet when I’m committed to just that one for the entire week. It also helps me feel out my stash. But I will say, I’ve been traveling for about a month this summer and the two constants in my makeup bag have been the Elf mad for Matte summer breeze pallet and the Tarte rainforest of the sea volume three pallet. The elf has such great mattes- great texture, easy to blend. And the tarte I can put on with my finger- which is great for easy, no fuss summer looks. Once I get back to a regular schedule I’m going to be really digging in. My biggest thing I’m over flowing in is lip products. So hard to let go!
I was obsessed with The Wizard of Oz as a child too! My mom bought me some "Ruby Red Slippers" for Christmas one year and it made my whole life. It was just a pair of red glittery flats. I still see them at some shoe stores, and it just triggers that sweet memory.
Ok
So I am a dude.

Corentin Thibaudeau I love this !
"Blush is worth at least half a cup of coffee..." Quote of the year! 😚
Ac L There should be a top 20 of the best Emily quotes. They just get more entertaining 😂
Mahbelle K hahaha!! We will have to make one!
yes this should be a shirt
🤣🤣
Can we just talk about how lovely this little community is? I’ve never seen any negativity and I love chatting with you guys in the comments. It’s always sweet and helpful!
AMEN!
I think Emily sets the tone for the comment section. She's just too classy for people to get too out of hand in the comment section, I think.
Meg Alysssa, I absolutely agree. If everyone spoke to each other the way we do here, I believe a whole lot could be resolved. Stephanie, New Brunswick, Canada
Yes! Emily has the best comment section you never see hate. Even when people disagree it's just a discussion.
I agree! Like people who disagree about a product give us tips on how to use it!
Yessss.... Week of chocolate bars please!
maxsmommie agree!!
Have you tried the white peach or no?? I like the color scheme but I've heard the payoff isn't amazing in that one sadly 😢
I have the white peach and I love it. I don't have any problem with the pigment. And I'm not super pale either
I love the TF Just Peachy Mattes Palette.
Same!
KurlyMommy G is it bad that I have shoved the items that I throw away down underneath other garbage so nobody asks questions? LOL... I kind of feel guilty but it's very freeing at the same time.
Marlena k8 lol so true
Same here !! She is the best ! I get the best ideas/ tips/product recommendations from her !
To me, this type of video is more satisfying than normal decluttering videos. I'm always left wondering about certain products BGs talk about during decluttering videos. I just want to see them use them before throwing them away! Thanks for the content!
I agree, plus we get slightly more in-depth explanations and we get to see the products at work.
Rebecca Morgan My hubs found that online. We want to drive up to see it sometime.
Who even gives this a thumbs down?? “Emily’s too awesome and creative and fun. I hate those qualities.”
Oh, I know the answer to this! Other RUclipsrs who are cliched and obnoxious and just do it for the money!
🤣🤣
:D Total rediscovered gem!
emilynoel83 That would be great! I'd love to see a video!
Plus you really CAN sleep in it...I have a few times, and never broke out at all!
Yes Shelbey is great! She knows a lot about bare minerals!
I feel like I say this every upload, but I truly do enjoy, giggle, and feel completely entertained watching. Thank you!
aw thank you Angela!! I'm so glad! :D :D
YESSSSS! Emily is so relatable :)
I love the idea of going back to all the Chocolate Bar palettes! Chocolate Bon Bons (the one you mentioned with the hearts) was my first eye shadow palette and I've been wanting to dip back into it for a while :)
Izza Doraa chocolate bon bons is 50% at Ulta either right now or soon!
How do you like the bon bon pallete?
I have never bought a too faced pallete but would like to. Just not sure which is the best or if there all great in there own way! 💜
I just bought the chocolate Bon Bon at ulta last week. I love it!
It's on sale now but I think it's sold out online so you have to find it in store😩
Izza Doraa I’m kinda hooked - I am using but also collecting all chocolate bat pallets - more please - I am expecting a mint chocolate pallet??
I know we are in July but I can't wait to watch Emily Awards this year lol 😂😂
neni1303 I was just saying a couple of days ago, "Oh good, we're halfway to the Emily Awards"!
A full face of wet n wild would be A dream! I absolutely love wet n wild
its hannah I love it too! They don’t get enough attention and I wish they did!
I haven't found a mascara I love from them... And they discontinued my favorite product, the photofocus lash primer. :(
Hmm I would have to say that the Too Face Chocolate Bar palettes have seriously been missing the love. I got a trick for the Candied Violet and the Guilded shadows that make them POP! hee hee
Moriganna Brown spill the tea girl?!
Moriganna Brown I miss my original chocolate bar. Idk why I haven't replaced it yet. Mine drowned in a freak flash flood here last August 😭
LOVE this video because it is such a great way to slowly declutter!
I love giving makeup a final shot. I agree that it's a good method if you can't decide!
Could you film a video on drugstore palettes that include bronzer, highlighter and blush? Best & worst? Love you!!!
LORAC UNZIPPED PALETTE. ILL NEVER STOP.
Rachel Kramer Agreed. I finally made myself get rid of mine because it was old and beat up, but I would repurchase it.
sonshine1411 it is on sale for more than half off right now at ulta!!!
Samantha Victorino In store? Not online the Dessert Palette is on sale. I want to get it!
I love the unzipped!
The theme song changed with the DVD 📀 release on Dawson’s Creek. If you catch the network episodes they do use “I don’t want to wait”
Thank you for explaining!!
Yes! The series finale uses i dont want to wait as the theme instead of the Jan Arden song
Yeah on the streaming services too they don't have the OG theme song. The finale does which always puzzled me...I love Dawson's Creek!!
Declutters are my fave! Hey when are we gonna learn about your Chicago adventure a few weeks ago? 😊 i'm excited to hear about it!!
Soon!!! :D
emilynoel83 I hope so! So excited to see what you've been working on!
Kay Lynn I still use the Lorac Pro almost daily. I've hit pan on half the palette
Savannah Martinez its seriously an easy palette
Agreed
Pro 2 is my JAM.
Yes please a week of chocolate bar♡♡🍫🍫
I’m on Keto with intermittent fasting and it’s been life changing in the best way for me. Losing weight, no more heartburn/indigestion, and more! I wish you guys luck in your Keto journey!
I love the TF white chocolate bar. The quality is really good, way better than the past ones. People just didn't give it any attention bc it's not the same old thing ppl buy and buy again like warm browns peaches oranges and reds. The Clover palette was bomb too.
You are a good mother, Emily. I was touched listening to you speak of finding Belle a specific toy, really sweet.
So glad I got to see this today! Always great to use items we forget about!! 😊💗 kind of like Christmas 🎁
I love this series, Emily! And I love how you don't just do a typical declutter video just because that's how everyone else does it. You know what system works for you and why, so you stick to that. That's really helpful for those of us living real life to know that we can do the same.
Did you ever get into One Tree Hill? That was my fave in high school!
Love One Tree Hill
I love these videos! It's so important to see videos where older makeup, even LE, is being used. We can't keep buying every new piece of makeup. As the older products disappear from youtube and social media we loose our excitment sometimes. That's why I think videos like this one are so important and lovely to watch! Thank you! Plus I love the mini declutter in the end. So much more realistic than throwing away half of your collection.
PS: I wish I had the White Chocolate Bar, but I didn't see it in the UK. I got the Gold one which is aaaamazing!!!
I would love to see you "review" all the chocolate bar pallets, as well as the Makeup Revolution ones.
I absolutely adore my Tarteist Pro palette, but i never see anybody talk about it. It's such a good freaking palette
Me too!
I also had a “dreams that you dare to dream really do come true” jewelry box that made me cry when I received it, as I was going through my journey of becoming sober and that was my
Dream.
I just recently got the dose of colors eyescream palette and it is just fabulous. I can't stop using it!
that is a GREAT palette!
The sparkly white shade under the green in this palette makes a beautiful inner corner highlight!! I would love to have this shade in a single shadow form. 💞💞💞
I like these videos - it's good to revisit your products! Great video Emily 🙂✨👍🏼🎥💄
Oh yey, I have been binge watching a lot of your videos since I'm home sick with lung infection. Forever a fan of yours girl.
Oh wow! I hope you feel better soon!!
emilynoel83 thank you. I laughed so hard in your vlog yesterday i started coughing but it was still good! Love you girl!
I love that you and your husband spend quality time together. You rock!!
Where do you purchase it? I’m in the US, not sure we can buy it here? 😊 thank you
Woah, this is one of the affordable foundations i can find.
Thanks for finding a way to get us excited about the makeup we already own
AHHH!!! EMILY'S VIDEO IS ON! DROP EVERYTHING! I love watching you! It's officially LUNCH TIME!
Dhinna Munshi I second that! 👍🏻
I love watching your videos like this while I get ready, it inspires me to do the same!
I love the Prism palette from ABH I don't think it's very popular.
Hollie Kinney Thank you for reminding me to pull mine back out. 😉
I love when you do these!
I absolutely adore the White Chocolate Bar palette! I use it more often than any other palette in my collection. It is the only one I have that I can use every single color without it being too dark! Love it!
Hey Emily 🙂🙂!!, yes yes i know it’s only July 3rd, but are you doing a Christmas in July video this year!? 😬
Your girls are so lucky to have you Emily......always so thoughtful and always keeping them entertained !
The too faced natural matte palette in the tin is at tj max as well for 12.99
I found the Too Faced Semi-Sweet palette at TJ Maxx for about $25.
Rachel McBurgess TF shadows are usually dry
I really love these shop my stash/declutter videos! I try to rotate my makeup every month but lately I’ve noticed I can’t seem to swap out my I Want Kandee eye shadow palette, for anything, lol! I’m obsessed! I just love how easily Too Faced shadows blend.
I clicked on the video notification so fast😂 I hope you do more of these videos soon!
the selection of videos from you popping up on my youtube before I could search for anything is like a facebook ad, never knew I needed it but knows exactly what I wanted. Love love your videos.
Totally love this kind of video!!
Monkeyluva311 #teamDawson!!
I was team Dawson when I first watched the series. I recently rewatched the series and changed teams. Definitely team Pacey!
Team Pacey!! 😁
#teampacey4life
emily viewer from Philly here!
AngelFace198787 you're right! And the throwback video in the series finale when Jen is in the hospital features that Alanis song 😁
I've recently rediscovered my UD Naked 3 palette. I just wish it had more matte shades.
Megan Tipton thank you so much!!
I personally wish the Naked palettes had at least one or two more matte shades, especially Naked 2.
I'm still on the fence about whether or not to try Naked 2. But I have to agree- it is really lacking on the mattes.
Actually I found it on Beautylish!
Lost 25 pounds in 2 1/2 months on keto. It completely wiped out my impulse or mindless eating. I admit I had days I ate something not strictly keto but always found it pretty easy to get back on track. I find I have so much more energy and a much more positive outlook. Keep with it!!
Love you Emily! Your Vlog was so funny yesterday, I had to make my own attempt at flossing and I don't know if I did a very good job! 😂😂😂
Dani O'Brien man I wish I could watch 90210 again
Midnight snacking while watching this video ☺️😍❤️
I was obsessed with The Wizard of Oz as a child too! My mom bought me some "Ruby Red Slippers" for Christmas one year and it made my whole life. It was just a pair of red glittery flats. I still see them at some shoe stores, and it just triggers that sweet memory.
