However, after a DNA test was conducted, my grandmother (on my mom's side) who is in her 80s as of today ended up being 70% European (British and German) and 30% African descendant (decendants of former slaves). @@yakiralovesall I have heard people debunk DNA testing, but I believe it is accurate. My sister had her DNA tested using both Ancestry and 23andme. She thinks that 23andme is more accurate and thorough. It tells you the percentage of Netherandal if any, and hers was extremely low (rare).
I think that a lot of people are skeptical because of conspiracies, which some could be true, however I believe that in these modern times that once a child is born they will retrieve DNA from that child anyway. I plan on getting a test for myself in the near future. By the way, all 4 of my living grandparents (in their 80s) were tested and it has helped unlock some family secrets. We are hoping to find out who my mom's's dad's biological father is before he passes. It grieves him no knowing who he is. Ancestry DNA does help you connect with long lost relatives that you have never met or heard of, but when you start digging you find out who you are related to. It's pretty amazing.

There would be no reason to enhance a slave ship if they were never used, also research the way that they stacked the slave ship, it was very seventififc in the way that they placed these slaves into the ships. Example, I’m from DC but now live in the south, so if I’m from DC and I’m running away from the police and end up in the south and they catch me in the south, does that make me a southerner or am I still from DC? Dane is not saying that Africans we’re not captured and enslaved here in the Americas but he’s saying that all of the people currently here aren’t all descendent of former slaves. He’s saying that some of the people here who were enslaved were already here and didn’t arrive on a ship. He’s asking where are the slave ships, he’s asking about what country demonstrated a ship building industry in which to store 200 plus slaves and have provisions for the slaves and the crew and worry about disease and famine and when all that’s said and done how many people actually made it across.

How can you debunk Dane Galloway when he simply suggests looking into your own family records? In order to debunk him we would have to look into the legal records available for our ancestors. Many of us are discovering that we are in front indigenous. Find a new hobby.

I can not speak for Dane Calloway but I believe what he is saying is that the Dark Skinned "copper-toned" people describe by Christopher Columbus and other 'explorers' of the early 1500's are now labeled as "Afro-Americans". This was difficult for reasons already explained - but it still happened and those natives mixed with African Slaves once they were brought over to the America's. In addition to this happening, there was also some mixing between Native and African people before the American colonies began to move into South Eastern United States. I think this video is mislabeled. Because the testimonies here seem to help to support Danes’ research, Not debunk it. Black people and Red people were already here Before slavery in America.
