This is actually a really bad skill to have unless it doesn’t out side the magic towers. My reason is that it’s basically immortality which I’m pretty sure everyone knows that it would suck to be immortal because you have to see everyone you love die.
For example, the mc is strong enough to parry the Hermes tower boss’ attacks, that giant orc thing that looks like it’s on steroids. But in the Persephone tower boss fight, he gets man handled and held on the ground by two basic summoned skeletons. Also, his defense stat apparently does nothing at that point despite it being raised constantly. A basic skeleton can pretty much one shot him.
not gonna lie the protagonist has the patience of a saint lmao; i would have gotten pissed off so many times in his stead and chosen to completely ignore the warnings and requests of others upon being looked down on constantly; like at least don't gang up on me and remind me repeatedly mf, i heard the first one-two times loud and clear already

Solo Leveling was so epic, and now we’re to the point that when these comics draw the mc with the shadowed face and glowing eyes leaving a line to show how fast they are I roll my eyes. This story should have started with the mc climbing the tower and getting tricked to go into debt to buy the cursed immortality skill. The author had a cool idea, why tf did they skip over it. Seeing the mc’s despair at reviving with lost stat and losing strength as he dies causing him to downward spiral before eventually getting the reversal skill would’ve been a good start to the story. But putting him getting the skill in chapter one just means that it doesn’t mean anything to the reader, it’s not impactful even though for the mc it should be a life changing moment.

The training will be good for utilizing that strength but super high stats would help a lot more imo.
