    Great video! Exactly what I’ve been looking for as I rebuild my adjusters with your plates, covers, and titanium cover bolts! I got your cams too! Can’t wait to get my c63 running again.

    At 22:34 you are talking about putting the camadjusters on the teeth they belong to, which i didnt knew where they go, what happends if i placed it on the wrong one. Because i bought the stage 3 plates for my adjusters and i put everything on and i got a check engine light for p0017 and 2 missfires. Could that be the case, and another thing too the teeth on the gears of the cam adjusters line up with each other is that bad because i think i seen them slightly off originally before i touch the cam adjusters

    • @63motorsportsinc.37
      @63motorsportsinc.37  Год назад +1

      The misfires at best is just asking for a cam relearn. At worst, timing is off (will need to retime with the timing tools) or the lockplates were somehow mismatched with intake vs. exhaust or vice versa.
      The gear teeth should be off and staggered when the springs are activated to compensate for lash. This makes sure the gear is not slopping about when turning and prevents making noise and wear.
      Review the FAQ instruction manual online to recount the steps for assistance or email info@63motorsports.com.

    I don't have issues on the set up of the timings but only what confuses me. What is the purpose of those pointers in the back of those adjusters gears? Are supposed to aligned them together? Or just install the camshaft adjuster where the sidewall writings or part numbers facing upward and that's the basis of alignment of each adjusters? Thank you.

      The steps in this video reinstalls the parts exactly how they would be found installed from factory. Several steps may be more geared for those with OCD as they may not serve a mechanical purpose 😅

      So does it matter where the adjusters are when reinstalling them as long as the timing plates on the end of the cam are lined up with the timing tool?

    Hey I’m doing this job right now on my m156 engine 2010 e63, turned crank to 40 and all the locking tools fit in the passenger side, but on the driver where my adjusters went bad, the lash gear hole is halfway open, and i can’t get it to clamp. All the other locking tools are in place and fit, jus the driver side lash gear problem. Any tips?

      Most owners work on one adjuster at a time as most will only be able to physically work on one at a time. Or follow this to retighten the gears if they have come loose already instagram.com/p/CKuNuWapFmt/?igsh=MmN2cGg3dzFhZHhi

      Or just use a nut too hold em in place before intake the gears off so they stay in position? Im just replacing my lifters and not the cam phases/gears they have zero play but my lifter go clicking sound when rpms go higher then 2500 rpms and i can hear em inside the car .
