If you sort hltv by big events last 3 months apex is the only igl with a positive rating of 1.05, all other top tier igls are in the red between .95 and .85 rating. Snax's performance isn't great on most maps but that's not what igls care about or are graded on
i think quite a lot of people forget how hard it is to frag when your other teammates are playing well and especially when you play positions that don't see as much action like b site anchor on mir
People are saying that snax is a bad caller, but yet they have: 2nd best tside winrate last month in top 10 (1st is NaVi) 2nd best tside winrate last 3 months in top10 (1st is SAW) The poor part in G2 is a ct side, which doesnt fully depend on caller (ofc there are gambles, midcalles etc. but still its not like you control everything in the round). And the "tt good cuz of malbz, snax still bad" is a such a stupid take, you still have to use him properly, dont get into his way of play too much, make him comfortable and help him in the rounds (its not like malbs is a spinboter that does everything on his own). If a call is bad, you put your best guns in a disadvantagous positions. The only map I can see that the argument of a bad calling can be made is inferno - snax didnt played it, either he adjusts or inferno can't be picked by g2
I see the trend on people commenting in twitch chat during pro matches such as; this guy noob, 0 9, replace x with y.. Unfortunately most of these people would shit their pants seeing one of the pro players on opposing team in faceit. Remember, being high ranked in premier is like mid, or just above average player, faceit up to lvl 6 or around 7 average, 7 - 8 good, 9 - 10 very good player. But pro players are much much better than lvl 10. Think of it as in football (soccer 🙄) , lots of us can play it, but only certain group of people are able to compete in highest level.
Regardless of who g2 got they needed to replace hooxi cuz I bet they would’ve had 0 faith in him after winning Dallas. So regardless of snax or not it’s an upgrade morale wise

Snax is a good IGL, but I don't know why people hate him so much. In TT he has a positive round balance, so his calling is good, if the CT side loses, he has nothing to say as an IGL. It's the fault of the team structure its more on players ,not the IGL. Snax plays less offensive roles, so he doesn't have the opportunity to kill as much( anchor ). He does a good job for only two months of playing for G2. Besides, he didn't even have free time between tournaments to really practice something more with the team.
Thorin interviewed Snax and when they talked about his stint in Mouz Snax said that he couldn't believe how Styko played all the shit roles on all the maps and how that's not viable if you want to remain sane. In VP they all exchanged roles, playing good positions on some maps and shit positions on others, there has to be a balance in the team. I wonder how it's going to work in G2.

Every IGL in G2 had bad stats, and G2 so far is winning a lot of rounds in Tside, so I think snax gets to much hate, while he does solid job so far
