It’s kind of a shame we’re forced to come up with adjectives to separate Allen’s immense and incredible talent and skills. I’m hoping in the next couple years the narrative will morph into among the greatest ever. Sadly -and wrongly- Super Bowl championships always become an element in a game where 22 players are in on every play. Lay seasons MVP vote is a travesty. Lamar is undeniably talented, but he’ll never come close to Allen’s QB skills.

Allen WASN'T "good" when Diggs wasn't on the Bills; when he became a Bill, Allen looked better and had better stats. Diggs is gone, YOU WILL SEE A REGRESSION towards preDiggs Allen (just like last season when they refused to use Diggs). Allen doesn't know how to develop an NFL WR; with the DBs in the AFC EAST, that rookie will have time and Allen can't help him.
Don't blame Diggs because that's the current bandwagon; if not for Diggs, Allen might not even still be on the Bills.

But you're telling me that "anyone with a brain" should forget how horrid Allen was pre Diggs, juxtaposed to how much better he was circa Diggs? "Anyone with a brain" should also forget last season when Diggs wasn't the focus and just how mediocre Allen and the offense played? Even though, there's no REALITY BASED EVIDENCE of Allen playing a full season without Diggs except the one he already did. The one where he lead the league in turnovers and posted a 5-11 record.
I'm supposed to allow someone, who ONLY uses his brain to run free on Imagination Land, tell me what "anyone with a brain" would do? Nahhhhh, I'm good over here, using my brain looking at REALITY.

I’m interested in the Sean McDermott podcast. The guy has been incredible for the culture, he coaches players up from nothing as well as anyone I’ve seen, and he consistently has the Bills defense ranked in the top 10 every year during the regular season. But his defense has also forced an abysmal 6 punts in Buffalo’s last 4 playoff losses combined so what’s it all for? I wonder if it has something to do with his scheme. Maybe it just doesn’t transition well to late season football? Also in those close, high scoring, shootout type games, it feels like every opponent drive results in a touchdown or buzzer beater field goal late in the game. I feel like I don’t ever see Buffalo’s defense adjust and improve in the 4th quarter. If I see they’re getting ran through in the 3rd, then I automatically assume the Bills will lose the game because I have no faith that the defense will make any plays in the 4th. I also don’t like McDermott’s attitude toward the offensive side of the ball. Sometimes he acts like the defense is the only thing he needs to focus on and blames offensive players and coaches if the offense plays poorly. But as the HEAD coach, he needs to be heavily involved with all facets of the game. If you can prove me wrong Joe, I’d feel much better about McDermott as a coach!

The team that lost to the Bengals in the playoffs was an emotionally spent team. After Damar went down they were lucky to win a game. They weren't right. I get it, it's the coaches job to get them right but it was just too much to overcome and they played like it.

I am sick of how even rabid fans of the Bills go along with the received narrative that Allen is second to Mahomes as the greatest QBs on the NFL when he is the best QB in the league. I’d still say that Steve Young has the edge because he has the hardware , the MVP’s, the SB MVP’s, the first team All Pro’s… etc, etc, etc…
His accolades and awards and rings put him in a tier of his own for dual threat QB’s.
Now Young couldn’t run the ball as well as Allen… not even close, but he was a superior passer and decision maker.
All of these other guys be it Lamar, Newton Cunningham, Vick… those guys aren’t/weren’t great passers.. so Allen is obviously better than them.
He isn’t on Steve Young’s level though. It’s not close.
