Bread Machine Fail. Paddle Not Turning! You CAN Save Your Loaf!!

- If you notice the bread machine paddle is not turning, there is a very good chance you can save your loaf!! It's very easy to unplug the machine, set the paddle properly in place, and then restart. Even if the bread machine has been running an hour or more, you may be able to do this. As long as the bread hasn't been stirred or started cooking, you should be okay. If you have left off the bread paddle altogether, you should be able to save your loaf using the same method shown in this video.

This happened to me, only it my bread machine has two paddles, and only one was turning. I dumped the whole lot into a bowl, mixed, kneaded and baked it by hand. Big mess and more work, but it turned out fine.

Did you know that before it starts baking, you can remove the paddle so you don't have a massive hole in the bread...
Yes, I have heard about that! Honestly, the hole doesn't bother me enough to go to any trouble at all to fix it. I appreciate you reminding me of the fix. Someday, when I need to make a beautiful, perfect loaf, I will try it. Here's something readers of comments may find interesting: Two days ago I forgot to put the paddle in before I started up my machine to cook a loaf of bread and did not notice my error until I opened the lid to take out my bread. Well, I was not able to save my loaf since it went through the entire cycle without being stirred at all! Gee, that hurt!! I had to dump everything and it was a mess.
This just happened to me. I have checked it. I took it out and kneaded it. I hate that part. But I’ll go see again.

i think mine is just not turning anymore ............. i tried to do as describe in this video but I think I sadly have to buy a whole brand new machine :( it makes noise but the paddle is just not moving anymore.......... i used it last month and now this month just to moving anymore............... this is upsetting ..........
If the rotator thing does not go around, then it sounds like it is locked up somehow. If a paddle is left off and the machine still functions properly, then it's an easy fix. Just put the paddle on.
Had the same thing happen to me today, just really didn't want to have to proof it myself. My bread machine is ancient, and I have a kitchen aid, so into the kitchen aid I dumped it. It's proofing now.
