THIS is the kind of music the Swahili music industry needs!! From an African American who's learning Swahili, I feel like the artists these days use WAY too much auto tune for me to enjoy, especially in Tanzania(no attack, I love the country). There's definitely a lot of talent in East Africa, but everyone's natural singing talent is covered by these auto tune voices. For example, diamond platnumz dancing and beats is on point, but I feel like I'm listening to a robot singing with artists like them, and just don't enjoy those songs. Maybe that's just what people over there enjoy? I don't know. Anyway, I love Sauti Sol and this album is Amazing, day 1 purchase for me!
Irony is that Kenyans have an almost 100% support for Diamond's autotune, but only a few of us know and rate Sauti Sol higher than most of these showbiz wannabes.

Nigerian here. Told my Kenya female friend about the lyrics and she intuitive warned me that this is not a love song to send to my wife but a heartbreak song...
it's not only just a heartbreak song but a song about a bitter divorce, the tearing up of familial ties and the spite and hate that comes after it. lawyers getting involved and a parent being denied access to their children, the public shaming of each other online and in gatherings, the in-laws showing one contempt publicly ,elders getting involved etc

You just have to feel the music and once its absored in your heart ..well the body moves...its actually a break up song...life realities...my sister. But as usual Sauti Sol Never ever dissappoint
My favorite from the album. It brings me joy and I love the musicality of the Swahili language. (I am from Senegal 🇸🇳.) I can never get enough of Sauti Sol’s music!
Underrated? I'm yet to hear of someone more appreciated in the band than him. Everyone accepts he is a star. Just like Savara, Chimano and Fancy Fingers.
This song (entire album) took me through my breakup at the height of social isolation, I was going through the most with nobody but nenda lote and the walls of my house. If there was a concert ningelia huko nijipate meme. I'm back to say I am healed. Mtupee concert sasa.
I can feel the live recording on this one. It has some Eric Wainaina/Chris Adwar feel to it. It reminds me of that heartbreak song "Mariana" by Eric Wainaina and "Kenchic" by Chris Adwar and the Villagers Band.

@@lynntoriro1847 It's about a love/marriage gone sour. The lady exposed his weaknesses to friends, family and the public. She's sent her parents, friends, pastor and lawyer to tell him the union is over. So he's telling her, it's okay, she can go and have everything she so wishes. Nenda lote means you can go with everything. My two cents though😁

My favorite from the album. It brings me joy and I love the musicality of the Swahili language. (I am from Senegal 🇸🇳.) I can never get enough of Sauti Sol’s music!
Benji i love Senegalese food ❤
Listening to this made me realise just how much Bien is underrated. Elite songwriter 🔥🔥🔥🔥
Underrated? I'm yet to hear of someone more appreciated in the band than him. Everyone accepts he is a star. Just like Savara, Chimano and Fancy Fingers.
😂😂we unajua chimano vizuri😩❤️😂
I think he is well rated. Chimano ndiye underrated aki (but they are ALL super gifted in their own ways)
