  • This was the last truck I filmed on this day, and certainly not the least entertaining by any means. Its a fairly typical Mack LE - Wittke, but with an older Curotto Can '1.5' as I call them.
The thing that makes this one stick out from the crowd is that its operated in such an entertaining way. Firstly, its revved nicely which in these condos, makes for a very cool and loud sound. Another thing is how the driver purposely flips lids so that everyone knows where he has been. Its a very fun truck to watch and I'm very pleased with how the video turned out too.
Thanks to Alex for showing me around and helping me find some of the more interesting trucks in the area. And thanks to the driver for being so friendly towards us. I hope you all enjoy the video as much as I enjoyed filming it (or more) :)
    Thanks for watching!

What happens on a windy day? Answer: trash and recycle all over the place. If not when you're dumping the totes, then dumping the can that has no cover. Yeah it's nice that you can have one truck than can service both front load cans and totes, but a committed side-loader, like a Sidewinder (which has a 12 foot arm reach) or a Scorpion, dumps faster, as well as the tote being protected from the wind by the hopper. The chance of wind damage far outweighs having one truck that can do two jobs.

Awesome find! Really enjoyed watching this guy's operating style. And man does this truck sound great! Love the shot at 3:28. Cool to see the green bin at 5:03. This driver's definitely a pro with a curotto can. Great video!

That is one lovely Curotto Can. Probably one of the best of the commonly seen trucks on the road. This one's going to the faves. Great job!

Curottos aren't usually the type of truck I get excited about, but an old beat up square one on a revving LE being run in tight quarters by a driver that goes out of his way to flip lids is pretty cool in my book. Nice vid!

nice shots.I love these smaller currato cans but this one on this truck doesn't look right because it's bigger than most of the smaller cans.

Real interesting truck, and definitely sounds great for LNG.
As for the Curotto, I personally think these older ones look better in yellow for whatever reason. And the grabbers are a real interesting design. I really can't decide if I like them or not haha
    Awesome video!
