Common and Kanye was a fucking force.

Agreed. And John Legend, features on a lot of the tracks they did. Those 3 are a powerful force!

This beat still gives me goosebumps to this day. Unsung classic
kanye like that
2023 we still here
sampe is ozdemir erdoğan - aç kapıyı gir içeri
@@lilsabo8212 No, the main sample is Old Smokey by Linda Lewis (1972).
😊@@chiTownN1
Summer 2005. Don’t care how old this gets , this will still be, one of the best hip hop albums to come out ever. Common to underrated
kanye like that
He's not underrated at all. He's a SuperStar
Big facts!!!
John Mayer is the one singing “Go” in this track. Such a classic song, and a classic album. ❤️🎵🎶
John Mayer is one of my favourite artists, and I always found his feature in this song really random 😂
No one needed that info
Whaaaat omg yes!
Speak for yourself, I never knew this!! Awesome!
@@korruptnovellst4751 actually he came up with that hook. Can't enjoy a song without the services of the chorus writer.
How does he make a song all about sex so classy
that's probably why they call him one of Hip Hop's Greatest
Joe Rispoli Right?!!
Coz he so smooth!
Because he's talking about a Cancerian chick.... We are Sexy but of so Classy!... well most of us!... LMBO!
@@AaronDouglas I agree. The guy is good
This is one of the nastiest songs ever! But it's CREATIVE enough that you wouldn't know it! LOVE IT!!!!
DiggumSmack77 YES.
Girl, I dont know is this your photo in avatar but this girl on photo is sexy as hell!
shiningpl Lol. It is. Thanks. :)
exactly!
Yes, it really is creative. The flow is perfect, the beats are strongs, so I was wondering "what is he talking about???!" LOL
I did'nt know Common this way before...
Fun fact: This song is actually packed with some musical powerhouses. Of course Common raps and Kanye produces/hypes on the beat but did you know that John Mayer also sings the Go sample? And A-Trak from electronic music fame does the scratching towards the end? Wild.
Wow !!! I didn’t know that ! Thank you for that fact after all these years I never knew. Thank you !
Had no idea!! Thanks for sharing!! It's clear now.
Thank you for the schooling.
Thank you
I knew about John Mayer
2024 in here
Yessir
Nasty but Classy... Common is just too good
Miss Kachy lol nothing nasty about it
What you mean nasty ?
@@johnnycesar1520 lesbians
Because it's Common
its a good thing
when a woman call you nasty but classy trust me.
Kanye West will go down as one of the greatest producers of all time.
Like most greats, he won't get his crown till he dies. Then they'll be playing all his shit acting like they been on just like Michael Jackson and Tupac smh
damn I say this all the time
No. Just no.
djchozen91 So will The Neptune's
This isn’t Kanye West.
Kanye's beats always gave me a nostalgic feeling even when they were new. Now that they're pushing 20 years old the nostalgia is crazy.
True wait until you get in your 50s. lol , like me.
the be album was a fucking classic that's one the greatest albums ever
True
I would just press play on my Walkman. Every song was a banger
Who listening quarantine 2020!!!!🤣🤣😷
Me this song bring back memories
@Nika Anderson Your Free Love I Wanna See ⚘I Wanna be Her Master Amen 😉
Here. I liked the video. In the end a man just needs one woman.
I got you boo
Me lbs
thank you Kanye for this production
Notice common always embraces every shade of chocolate in most of his MV
+R3llUn!qu3 not white choc. thats racist
+skatesquam Shut the hell up. Always gotta bring up a race card.
+SweaterBoyT Uhh, did you fail to notice that they were responding to a comment about shades of color? Not to mention it was likely a fucking joke, you dumb ass.
R3llUn!qu3 and that's important because?
R3llUn!qu3 that’s because chocolate is delicious 🥳
one of the most underrated songs ever
That early 2000s style of music is untouchable. I do enjoy the new material of today but the 2000s were such a euphoric time.
I miss those simpler days 😌
Yeezy and Common are legends for the Be album
This Beat. The Video. The models. 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
This deserves over 100 million views. This is Art and History
Respectfully
2k 23 Still a masterpiece
That ending transition was my fav part. Always gives me goosebumps. This album was a classic.
Favorite Common song, dude is an underground legend
agreed. dude has been killing it for years and doesnt get the respect he deserves
Quentin Campbell but at least he's still true to his sound
Agreed and that's why I like him
lemmieatit bruh what, he's very articulate

Summer 2005! I'm 25 years old living in Los Angeles partying my life away. I'll never forget those days...

Daniel K
Whatever GO modifies for you, it could be that too lol
Lol same here 😂
we don't care
I love Common's videos, they're so jazzy, artsy and laidback.
Still as good as the first time I heard it.
song is underated
Common is one of the best poets in hip hop evet
It's not what you say it's how you say it..
an average rapper would have talked about a woman on a lower level instead of a LADY..and rappers NOW can't even keep up with a beat like this.
COMMON IS A TRUE MC
well said
Facts mlat rappers now cant flow they can only make up a chorus
Its not about the beat or the lyrics. its about the song as a whole. It's the perfect beat with the perfect lyrics and an amazing video to compliment it all. This song as a whole is perfection.
That beat 🔥🔥🔥
Ye is GOAT
fun fact: John Mayer is singing the chorus.
+MysticDiamond Really?!? and ironic considering what he said about black girls...
wow really
+jonescity they probably sampled his voice into there mix?
John says the first go and then kanye says the rest
MysticDiamond he only sings the 'GO' part
This is the REAL Chicago flow.
one of them
2021 and I still come back to this song. One of the greatest songs ever! 👌🔥
Mfethu 😩🔥
It makes you happy after the first 2 seconds. Yay for this song. Pianos are so blissful 🎹

I love when I hear songs I haven't heard in long time that I remembered out of nowhere. Timeless cut.....GO GO GO
This song is 00’s nostalgia. Glad I got to live through this era as a kid and the world evolved as I was growing up up.

For mature adults only....."on the count of three everybody run back to their fantasy...GO!!" love this still...Summer 2018✌️ 🤟 🤘
Fun Fact: I grew up on the same block in Brooklyn as the first woman who appears sitting next to Common on the couch. Her name is Denise and she used to hang out with my brothers and I.
I thought you said fun fact
👆🏾 😂😂😂😂
Andrew Khouri lmfao
that's her from VH1's "Single Ladies".
Lilrick456
Yup she was on that show as well. She was always a pretty girl. Modeling agencies used to scout her all the time at her house from what I remember.
As i grow older my mom and dads music appeals to me more
This is when hip hop becomes a beautiful and delicate art
absolutely!
Love that feeling when I haven't heard a slick track in a min
Sunny Black Feeling it now...
Album is actually a classic
this is my favorite Common album from start to finish
Simplest hook with Kanye and John Mayer yet it just works
Personally, Common is one of the most real and best rappers. I REST MY CASE
I miss the old Kanye, straight from the GO! Kanye

This man has made such great music but I have to say even to today, this is still my favorite common song.

Best song to get in the mood before you go see your girl.

Covers all Comments GO! Love this song since day 1. Why can’t Real hip hop like this be on constantly and be pumped instead of this mumble bullshit??? Still bumping in 2022… Classic
in about 2030 people will appreciate Be and Finding Forever.
you already know
Hip hop forever
Unpopular opinion here, but i personally feel that the best rapper, and i mean of all time, is none other than Lonnie Rashid Lynn Jr aka Common! I like and respect many rappers with different styles, including Kendrick Lamar, Kanye, Tupac, Rakim, Ghostface Killah, Big Pun, Talib Kweli and more, but i feel when people bring up the discussion for the GOAT, Common gets severely under looked considering he never had any mainstream appeal and a lot of people have never listened to his stuff.
So, why do i feel the way i do? To begin with, i feel Common is the epitome of a master poet/rapper/lyricist/artist, and i personally feel he is UNTOUCHABLE; sure, there are artists still living like Mos Def, Rakim, Nas and more who are incredible, and i mean incredible lyricists too, but how have their recent projects been like, remind me? Common makes a strong argument for what “lyrical” hip-hop should look like till now, offering vivid imagery and high emotional stakes rather than allowing any display of technical chops to get in the way. He lets his guests shine and wisely gets out of the way of both the production and the hooks when necessary, his own raps providing an anchor to a project that is, as a result, bigger than him.
Additionally, his wordplay is incredibly underrated. 'I used to love her' is one of the best, and i mean best, songs of all time, regardless of genre. It is the definition of poetry. Heck, the whole 'Be' album (Shout out to Kanye and Dilla) and 'Like water for chocolate' album was an example of incredible poetry with accompaniment of smooth, soulful production, packed with wordplay which was thought provoking. Yes, he isn't mainstream, and i'm glad he isn't. Common has always remained true to himself and never sold out for fame (yes, he did start modelling, but i'm referring to musically selling out in order to have a mainstream hit song).
Thirdly, i feel he is one of the greatest role models affiliated with the hip-hop genre. He is a great person and an even greater person. We have never known Common to be in trouble with the law. Common has never been in the media for anything negative. Common is a good Black man that your daughter or son can look up to. He supports many causes such as Black Lives Matter, PETA, and he is the founder of the Common Ground Foundation,an organisation that seeks to empower underprivileged youth to be strong citizens and citizens of the world. Not to mention, he and Kanye found 24k jobs for people in Chicago. If you want your child to listen to positive rap from a positive person, buy your child Common’s album.
I know a lot of people will disagree with me with this, so feel free to share your opinions.
+Random John Cena Lookalike You couldn't have said it any better :) My son will definately grow up listening to common
bocee bee That's awesome!
damn even Cena respects Common
Bro i respect the hell out of your perspective because i feel the same way about nas and i never heard a bad common verse EVER
Btw Nobodies Smiling was very underrated 🔥🔥
Dekari Mckinzy Nas is cool, but unconsistent imo..
Been rocking with you since high school...swear your vibe is everything what my soul desires. Time is crazy, two different eras.
I forgot how much I loved this album when I bought it back in the day.
This whole album is hardwired in my mind as my childhood soundtrack
2022 and I'm still here. This is so dope .
Still jammin this October 2019. This was a classic album.
Every man needs to have at least one love affair like that. Finding that woman who is just "too much" for you is both a wonderful and painful experience. This song hit the charts right after I broke up with a chick like this. The breakup was painful but inevitable, and that relationship taught me more about women and what I REALLY want than any before or since.
I jam this song all the time. SO GOOD. Real hip hop right there.
Gosh the nostalgia!! they don't make beats like this anymore.
No they don't....it's sad
Ok i gotta listen to this Common album again
SUMMER 2005!!! WATCHING BET
What a fuckin song, the vocals, percussion, chorus everything. Masterpiece
Still sublime. True Classic 🙌🏾
A real modern day classic no lie
Man that outro sample gotta hold of my soul bro
When I was about 10 years old or so, we would leave the tv on until the morning as background ambience. Every night from twelve music videos would play until five. When I heard this song for the first time, it woke me up from my slumber. My mind was blown at this timeless piece. Love this song to death
john mayer killed it on this track bruh
It ain't that serious.
@Emma XTC He was also one of writers
@Happy Thoughts when did john become a racist?
jahlorise people want to call him racist because he said something to the effect of him not typically being attracted to black females and shit. Dude has crazy black friends and is always seen hanging out with black figures but he's racist 😂😂😂😂
@@anthonyeffect For real. He's so close with Dave Chappelle too
This will always be one of favorite songs ever! They all did they thang with this one!💯🔥💞
Listening to this 2016. Still miss the old Kanye tho.
Agreed.
+Simone Corrias NO my friend it was the 90's believe that! lol
+I am Judah! 90s
+I am Judah! Nah 90s wasn't as musically advanced as the early 2000
Crazy Beats yo
this man is a lyrical genius. fresh/chill beat. and kanye on the chorus is genius.
Oh snap!!!! I remember MTV Jams & Vh1 Soul had this on repeat for the longesttttttt looool. I vividly remember like it was yesterday. It was late spring of 2005 and both networks were promoting the hell out of this video to make way for Common's pending album "Be" at the time by having music video anthologies of Common. Shame, stations don't do that anymore for artists to get a generation of audiences to rock to both your old & new shit. Always have this, Snoop's "Let's Get Blown" & Missy Elliott's "Lose Control" on repeat. Hot, hot, hot joints that season
They also played all throughout the summer, thats how good this song is
That ending 😢❤
