I might be an ARMY, but slowly EXO-l's are getting to me. You guys are one of the most dedicated and hard working fandoms I've seen. i've been a fan of exo for three weeks and on the second week i found out that three members left and i was like "good thing i wasn't a fan for 5 years" , phew" then *20 mins later* *see's a video of the three members* *searches why they left* *20 mins later* *tears falls down* *cries in despair* *cry's everytime i see luhan, kris and tao in a video* *pauses for 1 min* *cries again and again and again and again* *saw this video* *cries again* i have never been this heartbroken before and it hurts more than (bf & gf) break! even though i've been a fan of exo for three weeks, everything that happens to them it would affect me and exo-l's. It's not the members that's only having trouble, it's also us. whatever the members at or going through, we will always be there for them and we will always be together with them! that's why #weareone

My story of how I became an EXO-L was so weird. It all started when I clicked the like button under the Monster MV, after that, I don't really know what happened bc it was so fast! I didn't hate EXO at first, but I didn't like them either. Reason: fanwars between ARMY and EXO-L I was a newbie into K-Pop and I knew only Bangtan (fire era). So as I was told EXO and BTS are opponents, I stayed away from EXO for a long while but then I got tempted when I kept on hearing EXO everywhere. "EXO are kings", "EXO are Daesang winning machines" I didn't even know what a Daesang was at that time. I was really curious, "Who are these EXO and EXO-L's?" I listened to Monster bc I was always in my recommendations and it was definitely not love at first sight... I didn't even listen to the song completely, I closed it. But it was stuck in my head like it was summoning me so I had to come back. Then when I listened to the song completely, I was astonished! Deadass breathless! I found myself loving all of their songs, following their profiles, learning facts about them, watching EXO on crack... in a few weeks, I finally admitted that I am an EXO-L... I don't really care about fanwars anymore because I realized that EXO and BTS are not really opponents. They are friends and respect each other and we should too... I also realized that EXO-L's are not mean, unlike what I was told. If you respect EXO, EXO-L will respect you back or even more. EXO-L's are just very fierce and strong because they went through so much with EXO... EXO-L's are definetely not monsters unlike other fandoms claim they are. They're incredible and beautiful human beings. (Weird aliens/meme makers sometimes) EXO is part of my life now and I'm part of EXO-L, I promise to never leave this family. (I feel like I wrote an entire freaking essay tho) Coming back to this comment after a few years. Yes I'm still a devoted EXO-L and I still tell this story to all the new eris I meet... I will always keep my promise, even when i'm old and these nine boys are too, i will always love them and this family. But as all of us EXO-Ls say: 9 in our eyes, 12 in our hearts! All those times I almost got "dragged" by other groups into becoming fans. (Tbh being multifandom is NOT FUN when fanwars happen :( ) But in the end, its always EXO that is in the my heart, ALWAYS. EXO-L is not a fandom, it is a FAMILY. Its cheesey but true. EXO has a special place in me. They are one of the constants in my life. Their smiles & songs calm me so fast its quite odd. Usually I hate it when someone tries to make me laugh when I'm upset. But with EXO, one dorky smile of theirs is all it takes to lighten my mood. That's when I realized was actually in love with EXO. When I was crying hard one day, upset with my family issues, I blocked everything out. I was trying to distract myself, and decided to listen to songs. It was random. There were so many other songs, and yet EXO's Moonlight played. It didn't suit my situation or anything. And the song was sad. But for some reason I smiled. I realized I was in way way deep with EXO then. With 12 boys who didn't know I existed. I realized I was probably stuck & never going back. EXO comforts me in a special way no one else can. I can’t believe that my ex-boyfriend got me into this fandom. There was a time when I was bragging this other group’s choreography to him because he is a dancer so I assumed that he will be impressed and join me into the kpop world. Then he went to open his laptop and showed me the Growl MV, and he was like “you know how much I hate kpop, but this is the only group that I got eyes on. Just look at that footwork and synchronization. I’m very impressed not only with the choreo but on how catchy the song is.” Back then, I hate EXO for no reason. I don’t know, maybe I wasn’t just into that many membered-groups bec it’s hard for me to memorize all the names and I hate it when a member gets a fewer or almost no lines. I ignored that video of exo that he showed but still proud that he laid his eyes into kpop. Then when I came to realize that the song is really catchy that it even stuck into my mind for about days, I tried watching their exo showtime to convince myself. And That’s where I fell in love to this group. That is when I considered myself an exo-l. P.S. we broke up a year ago, but I’m still staying and proud to be in this family ☺️

Im legit crying rn.... but... There is 9 members in EXO but 12 members in our souls forever. It's been 2 years as EXO-Ls offically. I am extremely blessed to have found EXO because of them and my bias (Kai) I've been influenced to be more in life and try my hardest to accomplish what I want in my life. Kai and Lay have taught me to feel confident in my actions and body. Baekhyun taught me new words such as Kkaebsong. Chanyeol taught me that even though ima girl with a deep voice, i can use it to the fullest. Chen, and D.O gave me confidence to sing high notes even with my deep voice. Xuimin changed himself and makes me wanna too. Suho and Sehun are jsur plain cute and are great vocals who make me hapy when they sing. I LOVE EXO AND WILL FOREVER!!!!

I might be an ARMY, but slowly EXO-l's are getting to me. You guys are one of the most dedicated and hard working fandoms I've seen. Yes I am also an EXO-l (no hate) but, I was always one to just watch you guys from the side. I've heard a lot of people saying you guys are broken fandom and rude and how your group aren't as close that 3 members easily left just like that, but as far as I've seen EXO-l is a family working to protect 12 boys forever and 3 leaving for what is best for everyone. I joined this fandom recently .in kokobop drought . I never saw ot9 in one stage. I never saw ot12 at all. I never saw the leavings. I never saw the fun and crazy moments. All i saw was being inactive and changes. I saw members marrying and antis making messes . I saw members military enlistings. I saw members saying they also missed the members. My story of how I became an EXO-L was so weird. It all started when I clicked the like button under the Monster MV, after that, I don't really know what happened bc it was so fast!
I didn't hate EXO at first, but I didn't like them either.

I was a newbie into K-Pop and I knew only Bangtan (fire era). So as I was told EXO and BTS are opponents, I stayed away from EXO for a long while but then I got tempted when I kept on hearing EXO everywhere. "EXO are kings", "EXO are Daesang winning machines" I didn't even know what a Daesang was at that time. I was really curious, "Who are these EXO and EXO-L's?"
I listened to Monster bc I was always in my recommendations and it was definitely not love at first sight... I didn't even listen to the song completely, I closed it. But it was stuck in my head like it was summoning me so I had to come back. Then when I listened to the song completely, I was astonished! Deadass breathless! I found myself loving all of their songs, following their profiles, learning facts about them, watching EXO on crack... in a few weeks, I finally admitted that I am an EXO-L...

EXO-L's are just very fierce and strong because they went through so much with EXO... EXO-L's are definetely not monsters unlike other fandoms claim they are. As u can see many people hate us and think we're the worst fandom but that's because they don't know us, we just try to defend our boys because we love them so much, some people even think that EXO members are arrogant because they don't know them, the members went through hard times, people used to call them SM's first flop, sasaengs chasing them and people hating on them, even the company didn't treat them well and that's why three members left, that's when many fake fans left the fandom and the members gifted us a song called "promise" to apologize for something they didn't do, and to promise us that they will work harder. but hey, look at them now; first kpop group to own the title triple million seller since 1995, breaking records machine, the most awarded boygroup of all time(122 show awards+85music program awards+23 individual awards), won 18 daesangs for four years in a row breaking a record as the most daesangs a group have ever won, kings of album salles ( 7.5 million )+ they are the first and youngest million seller in 12 years, they sold out concerts in 0.4 seconds, largest fanbase, being called the biggest group of the 3th generation..etc.

Being an Exo L is amazing. Because this fandom makes me feel and have another brother, another sister, another father, another mother, a family. Its hard having a fandom, those tears, heartaches, but inorder to be One we have to stay together and we'll last longer.
I detested kpop. Like, I srsly look down on kpop. I didn't see the true beauty of kpop. That was until I found EXO through EXO Next Door. Then I got to know them better through their music and EXO's Showtime. I just became an EXO-L this year around March. It's sad knowing EXO used to have 12 members, now remaining 9. But as all of us EXO-Ls say: 9 in our eyes, 12 in our hearts! All those times I almost got "dragged" by other groups into becoming fans. Its cheesey but true. EXO has a special place in me. They are one of the constants in my life. Their smiles & songs calm me so fast its quite odd. Usually I hate it when someone tries to make me laugh when I'm upset. But with EXO, one dorky smile of theirs is all it takes to lighten my mood. That's when I realized was actually in love with EXO. When I was crying hard one day, upset with my family issues, I blocked everything out. I was trying to distract myself, and decided to listen to songs. It was random. There were so many other songs, and yet EXO's Moonlight played. It didn't suit my situation or anything. And the song was sad. But for some reason I smiled. I realized I was in way way deep with EXO then. With 12 boys who didn't know I existed. I realized I was probably stuck & never going back. EXO comforts me in a special way no one else can.
EXO has changed, but for the stronger. To the real EXO-Ls that supported & stayed throughout, THANK YOU. We are the true fans. The ones that support & stay at the darkest times, that's whats called a True EXO-L/Aeri. My fellow Aeris are probably the only ones who will understand me. To all the new fans. Welcome. I can’t believe that my ex-boyfriend got me into this fandom.
There was a time when I was bragging this other group’s choreography to him because he is a dancer so I assumed that he will be impressed and join me into the kpop world. Then he went to open his laptop and showed me the Growl MV, and he was like “you know how much I hate kpop, but this is the only group that I got eyes on. Just look at that footwork and synchronization. I’m very impressed not only with the choreo but on how catchy the song is.” Back then, I hate EXO for no reason. I don’t know, maybe I wasn’t just into that many membered-groups bec it’s hard for me to memorize all the names and I hate it when a member gets a fewer or almost no lines. I ignored that video of exo that he showed but still proud that he laid his eyes into kpop.
Then when I came to realize that the song is really catchy that it even stuck into my mind for about days, I tried watching their exo showtime to convince myself. And That’s where I fell in love to this group. That is when I considered myself an exo-l.
P.S. we broke up a year ago, but I’m still staying and proud to be in this family ☺️

There is 9 members in EXO but 12 members in our souls forever. It's been 2 years as EXO-Ls offically. I am extremely blessed to have found EXO because of them and my bias (Kai) I've been influenced to be more in life and try my hardest to accomplish what I want in my life. Kai and Lay have taught me to feel confident in my actions and body. Baekhyun taught me new words such as Kkaebsong. Chanyeol taught me that even though ima girl with a deep voice, i can use it to the fullest. Chen, and D.O gave me confidence to sing high notes even with my deep voice. Xuimin changed himself and makes me wanna too. Suho and Sehun are jsur plain cute and are great vocals who make me hapy when they sing. I LOVE EXO AND WILL FOREVER!!!!
