Is there any more post rock with violin or orchestra like this? All I know is Bruit
I feel like what attracts (me at least) us to this music is how it manages to portray our feelings of loneliness or sadness, but the instruments like the drums and guitar (or the violin in this case) provide this sense of hope, that will always persist. Even on this dark stormy ocean in our small boat, we see a faint glimmer from a lighthouse. And sometimes thought it might be scary all it takes is for us to turn a light off in order to find this hope. Like turning off a flashlight in the country side and seeing the infinite stars. It might feel lonely and scary but there is always hope to hold on to.

Not trying to take away from your beautifully intended message, but the Waluigi avatar behind it makes me laugh.
My writing wouldn't be the same without post rock and classical music. It influences the flow of thoughts and words, it gives them something 'religious', like I really do something meaningful, that there lies something beautiful in my mind that I haven't quite discovered yet. Writing is all I have, all I am, music took away the fear of nothingness.
Music fills the void we fear is meaningless. Music allows us to have a sense of purpose and security. 😌
As a fellow writer, I absolutely relate to your feeling. This state of 'pure' writing, of losing onself in a world of music and words, is just magical.

it sure is, and the artist for it is Nanomortis on deviantart. they make their art in this unique style, mostly expressing depressing feelings and states of mind through complex geometry and obscure gradients. you should definitely check them out if they're still there! (i honestly haven't been on deviantart for ages so i'm only hoping that their account is still intact)

My favourite instrument along with my favourite genre of music? YES PLS.
I can't express how grateful I am, to listen to the amazing playlists you make. I've listened a lot from your channel and saved basically all of them, after listening to them and liking the songs a lot. But this is my favorite from what I've listened during this whole year - including other channels - (and I tend to listen to a lot of different music, by one album or playlist every day, because I feel a really deep bond with music). But this one in particular is really special to me; I love every song that you've included. Specially 'Love Song', it has become one of the songs I like the most. I feel such intensity and variety of emotions in it.
Thank you so much for this. I hope you can continue making these great playlists, and I would be really glad if you did another of "post-rock & violin"; it's such a unique combination that channels different feelings from almost different worlds, but in the end, the result of those two elements together fits with harmony and it evokes a really pleasing sound. As if, we were all the same deep down, and even if we feel things differently, we all share the same feelings.
Again, I must thank you for your videos. You've helped me discover such great music and impressive artists.

Wow, "Those Who Fly Alone" really blew my mind, the catharsis feels like the whole band are just brewing up a storm, the wall of air crashes into whatever was there to record it, recording them must have been an intimidating experience. On edge. I mean I'm still stunned, that was a breathtaking delivery.
Know I am going to love this as soon as I saw the title. Looking forward to hearing new things. Surprised to not see Hammock here.
The first track reminds me of Shigeru Umebayashi's waltz- Yumeji's theme. Thanks for this great list btw. I always love the combination of violin, electric guitar and drum.

Evpatoria Report is also a nice band that uses violin.
13 road sounds good, but it's far from the same TSMZ / Dirty Three. The selection seemed to me to be of low quality, from the good I can only single out 3epkano. The first could be very good, if not for the disgusting mastering, in which in some moments the sibilants create a tangible pain when listening, but the violin is mesmerizing, this cannot be taken away from "Hungry Ghosts".

This compilation seriously lacks Aesthesys and Yndi Halda, bruh. No one in post-rock comes near those two bands in terms of employing violins.

The poster of the art you credited to isnt really the artist. I've followed the artist who makes this exact style and i see several trademark motifs of theirs. Nanomortis is the artist without a doubt. Please contact them to confirm for yourself and to notify the artist request that person you credited to remove the image.
Alternatively you can contact the artist for permission, and credit them properly.
If this music had been around at the pits of my life (1975-ish) I would probably no longer be here.
