Reptile morph genetics as they are taught to the majority of keepers are pretty heavily simplified in an attempt to avoid as much confusion as possible, but in doing so we end up getting some details ever so slightly misconstrued. But I'm sure we'd all MUCH rather explain what a "het to het pairing" means to a newbie over the term "dihybrid cross" any day of the week... 👀
Thank you! And I agree. There is a time and place for the basics and also a time and place for the more accurate science depending on the application. But Clint has been one of my biggest inspirations and resources I have relied on to this day. Even more complex science I think he teaches in such a way that many are able to get at least a handle on.
I agree. I personally think if it's a minor change it makes no difference and we should just call them markers like we have no need to disrupt what has actually been working in ball pythons. But if the change is consistent and significant then maybe it is co-dom. Opps I mean incomplete dom 😅
