You just saved me a night of searching the web and pulling my hair out by saying “you might have a little bit of pressure there and boom click and in”. Seriously, thank you. I’m a day closer to getting back to the ocean 🙏💃.
I would say to use wax so that the drawers move in and out. Make them a tight fit so the drawers can hold them selves up... I built the same thing but for a pickup truck and made the out side 1/4 inch of steel and the inside of wood and after a couple of months the extra long drawer hinges started to fail for the constant opening and closing and the weight...
For extra support on the table top drawer. Put legs on the bottom of it that can be flipped down. I would also make them adjustable. This would only take a little space from the drawer itself. Just an idea.
here's a suggestion. the groove where the drawer locks needs a metal fitting so the wood does not get destroyed over time. As usual, your designs get better and better. your richer customers will want a more refined finish.
Also might suggest weather proofing like for wood decks to reduce the worry of it getting wet and damaged. Inside of drawer might want a bar ot metal to keep wear and tear down if gets pulled while locked. Like the Video as well thought out design and looks amazing!
Hi ..looks great nice work ..the sliding rails can you tell me where to find them or the make or weight they can hold ..I want to put a sliding drawer for two bikes in my campervan a Renault Master .. many thanks 👍👍😊🏁🏁🏁
The customer used the storage for rock climbing gear and some tools while he drove the van to Alaska and back. So he wasnt taking the tools out everyday for work only if something broke down.
Hi thanks a lot for all your videos. Have you got a more detailed tutorial? I m planning on building draws for my van and I was hoping I could do the same as you :-) thanks
ambeeeulance… great work madman. We all have an accent, except for the guys up here on long island NY, we seem to speak pretty dam perfect, just ask any of us. Thanks for the video, looks great!
Hello ! I'm doing a similar project for my minivan. I want the same handle but I saw they come with .5 bolts. What did you do to install them ? Can you give me more details please ? Thanks !
Glad I asked. Not sure why I thought much more than that. Your van build with the bed and shelves is very nice. So man RUclips videos are really low quality. Thanks.
I like everything you do I like to do with my van too.i like to know how you charge for job.we do not have to much money something we can afford we might go to you. Than you

These are the best pull out drawers I’ve seen. Thanks for the video.
Very nice work, some of the best vehicle drawers I've seen

+B Cobler ya I mentioned that idea to the customer but he wasn't too into it.
They are brilliant .. practical storage which will help you store away and save your nereves, You could make a fortune selling those !!!
If i made drawers like these. I would opt to make my own sliders with steel bar & bolt on bearings. Neat job .
then you couldn't open them 100%...right?

+Mario Cooke yup good thought for sure
I have the same holes in mine and it's solid. I thought about addimg metal bars but honestly i don't think I'll need to

I sell the drawer slides on my website www.solidwoodworx.com under the tab hardware, thanks
How were the sides attached to the bottom? Screws?, pocket holes, air nails and glue, rabbits...?
Brilliant idea.
Good build! Good tour! Shalom!
Great job, looks so neat.
Your channel is simply the best
LOOKS NICE BUT WHAT TOOLS FIT INSIDE THOSE DRAWERS?
HOW AND WHAT DO YOU USE TO TRANSPORT THE TOOLS?
WHERE DO THOSE bOXES ? GO?.
The customer used the storage for rock climbing gear and some tools while he drove the van to Alaska and back. So he wasnt taking the tools out everyday for work only if something broke down.
@@SolidWoodWorx Well, nice job for Personal use.
I was looking for professional carpenter storage.
Very nice
I have a 1993 Chevy G20 van. I would like you to make me a couple of drawers like this. What would they cost?
Excellent
1/2 inch or 3/4 for the drawer sides and bottoms?
Drawer sides 3/4” bottoms 1/2”
do they pull out the opposite way into the actual van?
No
What thickness are the plywood pieces? Looks awesome!
3/4"
What did you use to extend the length of the bolts to secure the T handles to the front of the drawers?
Some threaded posts i believe they call them
@@SolidWoodWorx Would you happen to have a link to where you got them and/or the size?
Does the long plywood loose its shape when it gets damp, or over time. I really like your work. Greetings from Ireland.
I guess if it reallllllly got soaked
Just coat them before installing.

+David&Elodie Bainbrigge&Amann I don't have any videos about building the drawers I'm sorry!

Hey there ya I had to go to the hardware store and get a coupling to extend the bolts further!
Solid Wood Worx thanks for your answer dude. Doesnt seem so complicated.
For people reading this, you will need 10-32 coupling nuts to extend the T handles nuts. Cheers
You do great work, is it standard for you to use only 3/4 " plywood.
I use it where i think its needed then i use a lot of 1/2" also to save weight
That is the only way to go... That is a great idea
Thank you
I like your massive drawers
I admire your work, thanks for sharing.. i would like a similar conversion made to an equinox. Where are you located?.. just subscribed.. God bless

Hey Bryan. I emailed you last week about the 5th gen 4Runner build. Do you have these plans as well?
Thanks.
Jessie Venable
I do not sorry
Good stuff! Shalom!
how much would you charge to build a drawer set up similar to this?
Email me for pricing inquires solidwoodworx@gmail.com
Is there much of a weight difference building them with wood vs the commercial metal ones?
+Pearll Garcia I have no idea how much the metal weighs but just the drawer boxes themselves in this build might weigh 100lbs with the guides on them
Glad I asked. Not sure why I thought much more than that. Your van build with the bed and shelves is very nice. So man RUclips videos are really low quality. Thanks.
Hey I want you to build some for my 96 landcruiser
Solidwoodworx@gmail.com
I will pay you to recreate this for my van!
How wide are these vans?
Good question
How did you get started in this business? This is something I'd love to do in my area.
so the bolts were too long or too short ??
Too short had to extend them
Solid Wood Worx thanks!!! , nice channel by the way 👍👍👍😊
Amazing
How much would you charge to make me a set
I have a 2011 Ford Expedition and need somethng like this. Please contct me.
Email solidwoodworx@gmail.com
Something that long I think I'd use two sets of guides on each drawer but I like to over build everything.
+abe frohman ya gets to expensive real quick when each pair of guides are $120
Brian, how do I make an appt with you bro? We have our van and are ready to roll on projects!
Not taking on any work
Where's your shop?

@@SolidWoodWorx Thank you. Sadly, I'm on Colorado. I do appreciate the videos, though.
Sweet!
How much you want to build this?

He is selling his skills. He is not selling his accent. His accent is not the one making the drawers, but his hands.
👏 👏
Great work..your up accent on every statement is unbearable.
I'm 30 seconds in? and I was about to say the same thing? It sounds like every statement? is a question?
The tough part about RUclips is you get feedback like this. You are not wrong. I also find up-talking excruciating, especially from a dude!
Sounds like my 15 year old niece...
Do you have a phone number I can contact you I’m needing this down on a ford ranger
Solidwoodworx@gmail.com
Nice job but the upspeak is pretty hard on the ears…
Too bad that you're not doing any more work
Just taking a break for the rest of the year to work on some personal projects ive put off this year, back to work next year, thanks
nice job, but the accent is killing me.
