I really love this fragrance. It's fresh and clean and there is no fragrance that i have ever worn that can compete with VPH regarding compliments from women. I think the simplicity of this fragrance makes it really good. It's one of the safest bets you can play if you just want to smell good.
I understand one of your rating criteria is based on Uniqueness and originality - But you are also punishing a good fragrance which is far cheaper than the original for just not being Unique- May I suggest that, in your rating, you need to add one more rating feature " Value/Price ratio" - Then it would give probably the right, balanced and total rating.. For example Allure Homme sport would get far better rating from you when this is getting only 7/10 - but you pay 100% more for Allure Homme Sport - I consider your reviews among the best but I also believe that your rating configuration has to be amended a little bit

I love this fragrance. It is indeed another fairly generic aquatic, in an ocean of generic aquatics... each with a slight difference in their nature that distinguishes their identity. Versace Pour Homme really has the right blend of the right notes for me. At it's price, you can't go wrong.
Great review and accurate rating in general. Regarding price this is one of the best signature scent worthy frags under $40. It is almost identical to a Allure HS at half the cost and AHS is one of the best designers in the game.... HUGE compliment getter.... far better than edition blanc which i also love
I'm actually just now smelling this and the Allure Sport and due to all the comparisons have been comparing them side by side and I have to disagree with your appraisal of it being derivative of the Chanel. They're in the same ballpark but are far different in smell. I do not think the "critical lens" is fair in this case. But that's just my opinion, and it's only perfume!
It's definitely very sporty. I put on a couple sprays prior to my workout and it stayed fresh, even as I sweat and showered after, the smell stayed! Albeit, I can smell a bit of similarity with Acqua di Gio, after all it is by Alberto Morillas

This was a great review as usual Stephen. I have a thought, and I may be wrong here, but one note you failed to mention in the base is tonka. I am really starting to believe that tonka is a key note to the compliment factor and performance of certain fragrances. I'm thinking of Versace Eros, Allure Homme sport, Allure Homme Sport Extreme, CH men Prive, as well as Versace Pour Homme. All these fragrances list the note of tonka, and I'm thinking it's the common thread to the compliment factor in each fragrance. Allure Homme Sport and Versace Pour Homme both have tonka in the dry down, however Allure turns the note up quite a bit more. Allure Homme Sport , and especially Allure Homme Sport Extreme is often said to be creamier because of the tonka dry down. Versace Pour Homme is a compliment magnet and I feel the musky tonka base, although it's a light tonka, may play a huge part in this. Maybe I'm way off but I'm very interested in this tonka note. Just a thought. I'd be interested to see what you think about it. Perhaps you talked about it in another video.
Allure gives me a breath of fresh air vibe, while pour homme is more of a brisk mount air that has piercing freshness. They have similar vibes but they don't smell the same..........
I've sample Versace Pour Homme and I was impressed. I agree about the linearity, and for me that translated as better longevity than Chanel Allure Homme Sport at a lower price, so as a Chanel fan I was impressed.

Even with 418 full bottles in my collection now, I still own this in 200 ml version and I'm down to 150 left now.......spray this before bed often. Not as creamy as Chanel Allure Homme Sport, but they still resemble each other

If Allure Homme Sport were never created, like if this Scent was unique which it is for me, because I haven't smell Allure Homme Sport, but with that context just on the smell of the Fragrance, like Bruce Lee said empty your Bottle and renew again( Your Glass of Water ) your mind, What Rating will you give to this Amazing Fragrance if you just happen to Smell it with not smell around ?
To me this smells maybe 20% (if even that) similar to AHS. I do have both, and Versace gets way more play from me than Allure. It just suits me better. In my opinion I don't feel Alberto was trying to copy Allure and if he was I think he one upped em. So I don't really agree with your rating system on this guy :)
I disagree that this frag smells like AHS. Only in the opening is there a similarity. They AHS is a heavy creamy scent with a pronounced black pepper sitting in the background. They are not that alike at all. I think if u wear AHS for a few days and then wear VPH u will agree.

Lily Direct! I've never had any problems with them. I also order from Fragrancex, Fragrancenet, and L J Shopping. First bottle I bought from L J shopping was this VPH 6.7oz last year. My son had it in his bag and someone had stolen it out of his bag. So, got my replacement bottle from Lily Direct. Sprayer is much better than the 3.4oz bottle I have. Juice inside is authentic. For smell its one of my top summer colognes.
My son is a teenager too and it works perfect for any age. EDT only If your going to get this its worth it to get the largest bottle available. Should last you for a couple of years. Save your money and buy online
Red Salmon Sucks i was hoping for a bit more powerful and long lasting scent. I have an edt polo red that has the best smell ever but unfortunately it doesn't hold long so I'm trying for something new that holds a bit more.
Not a good fragrance if you need five sprays just to smell it after five minutes. Go for Chanel Allure Homme Sport if you want a better version of this.
I finally got my hands on this baby. It's not available in regular retail shops in France. I really love it. In some ways it is similar to d&g light blue intense and at the same time it is not. It's not salty but still smells similar to light blue. Let's see how it performs now !
I dont like VPH.. Its smells very generic on my skin and leaves a very strong driersheet effect.. It bothers me so.. No.. Not for me. I dont really get the hype but I can see why people like it. I would probably like this on someone.
Oww.. And i wouldnt compare it to Allure Homme Sport. I think Chanel has more depth to it and is lil bit like spicy-fresh. Only thing that makes them simmilar is that "fresh vibe".
If you look on Google, you will see both presentations. I purchased mine from an authorized retailer when it came out, and I have checked the batch code on checkcosmetic.com My guess is that they make slight changes to the presentation from year to year. I even watched a real vs. game video here on RUclips, and many details on my box and bottle sync up with the real bottle. To be honest, I'm fairly confident I bought my bottle from Macys.
WOW very disappointed in this review. I am a big fan of redolesscence and 95% of the time agree with his assessments but I gotta say I majorly disagree with this review, HUGE FAIL!... I can go on and on but I'll just say this is an amazing fragrance, one of, if not THE most versatile I've come across. It's a 10 in my book but to say it's anything less than a 9 is just crazy talk. This review is the very definition of a fragrance snob perspective.

Where did you get it that cheap and are you satisfied with the smell?
Lily Direct! I've never had any problems with them. I also order from Fragrancex, Fragrancenet, and L J Shopping. First bottle I bought from L J shopping was this VPH 6.7oz last year. My son had it in his bag and someone had stolen it out of his bag. So, got my replacement bottle from Lily Direct. Sprayer is much better than the 3.4oz bottle I have. Juice inside is authentic. For smell its one of my top summer colognes.
Red Salmon Is it Eau di toilette or parfum? And is it for younger guys I'm 18.
My son is a teenager too and it works perfect for any age. EDT only If your going to get this its worth it to get the largest bottle available. Should last you for a couple of years. Save your money and buy online
Red Salmon Sucks i was hoping for a bit more powerful and long lasting scent. I have an edt polo red that has the best smell ever but unfortunately it doesn't hold long so I'm trying for something new that holds a bit more.
Not a good fragrance if you need five sprays just to smell it after five minutes. Go for Chanel Allure Homme Sport if you want a better version of this.

I finally got my hands on this baby. It's not available in regular retail shops in France.
I really love it.
In some ways it is similar to d&g light blue intense and at the same time it is not. It's not salty but still smells similar to light blue.
Let's see how it performs now !

I dont like VPH.. Its smells very generic on my skin and leaves a very strong driersheet effect.. It bothers me so.. No.. Not for me. I dont really get the hype but I can see why people like it. I would probably like this on someone.
Oww.. And i wouldnt compare it to Allure Homme Sport. I think Chanel has more depth to it and is lil bit like spicy-fresh. Only thing that makes them simmilar is that "fresh vibe".

Nope! I'm very careful about where I buy my fragrances and whether their authentic or not.
Presentation can sometimes change over time.
Medusa logo is more detailed and the border is continuous on authentic pour homme
If you look on Google, you will see both presentations. I purchased mine from an authorized retailer when it came out, and I have checked the batch code on checkcosmetic.com
My guess is that they make slight changes to the presentation from year to year. I even watched a real vs. game video here on RUclips, and many details on my box and bottle sync up with the real bottle. To be honest, I'm fairly confident I bought my bottle from Macys.

WOW very disappointed in this review. I am a big fan of redolesscence and 95% of the time agree with his assessments but I gotta say I majorly disagree with this review, HUGE FAIL!... I can go on and on but I'll just say this is an amazing fragrance, one of, if not THE most versatile I've come across. It's a 10 in my book but to say it's anything less than a 9 is just crazy talk. This review is the very definition of a fragrance snob perspective.

+mr1980chris You are right Chris the neroli in this fragrance is amazing.The creator of this masterpiece is Alberto Morillas .He did also the acqua di gio line the mugler cologne and the yves saint laurent M7.Now this is TALENT.The guy is in top 5 fragrance creators.Steven i don't know why you bashed this because it is an amazing fragrance that women love on guys
