She's already held her own against Lipnitskaia and Sotnikova at the JWC, and from her programs at Skate Detroit, she's made a great deal of technical and artistic improvement since the Junior Nationals. I have no doubt she'll be on the podium at both of her Grand Prix events this season.
A really nice performance, but does anyone else think this music is awful? Like, it's not a good song to skate to anyway, but the remix makes me cringe even more. On the lighter side, I love her flow in and out of jumps, and the amazing shoulder/back line she has on her landings.
Beautiful jumps with movements perfectly synchronized to the music. She skates with such power and vigor - doesn't seem robotic to me. Hope she competes on the top level with all the Russian skaters in Sochi 14' Go for Gold, Gold!
yes,but remember carolina kostner and yuna kim is already in the twenties. yuna kim succeed her dream (winning the winter olympics)and decided to quit and start professionally. we shall see what going to happen at the sochi and pyeongchang olympic ( i hope karen chen might compete as well when shes 16)
But Gold's jumps and spins look so easy. She is nervous there so it's obvious she will look stiff. I like her maturity though. No offence, I'm not a fan of russian skaters :)
Yeah, the New Wave of ladies figure skaters--Gracie Gold, Julia Lipnitskaia, Elizaveta Tuktamysheva, etc.--are going to rule figure skating. They grew up under the new rules and are loaded for bear. Yuna Kim is probably shaking in her boots. Watching Gracie skate makes last year's champ Carolina Kostner look like an Antique Road Show artifact. Gracie is heading for the Olympics!
her triple triple combos are SO consistant! the height, distance and speed she has going into them are amazing, like kim yunas jumps! (:
OMG triple-triple and gorgeous spins! This girl has to be on the podium the next olympics! Go gracie!
She was absolutely superb here. Superb. she has a very unique body movement too. so good.
I cannot believe that I was able to go to high school with her. Go for GOLD, Gracie!!!
Damn girl!!! We officially have a new star in the making! The next Kwan perhaps??
Gorgeous triple triple combination! Wonderful spins, especially the layback spin as well.

A natural-born jumper with passion in her every move. We'll be seeing her on the podium in Sochi beside Julia Lipnitskaia and Elizaveta Tuktamysheva.
her program's flawless

i don't even do figure skating and this is amazing!!! wow! beautiful! I'm a synchronized swimmer.
For a sixteen year old (at the time) i am really impressed, some people who have more experience couldn't do jumps and routines as advanced as that!
Oh my god.. her footwork. AMAAAZING.
She is truly a super star!

I think everything Gold does is about being fast and powerful. Look how stiff her neck, shoulders and arms are.....
WOW!
I just hope she's not the next Rachael Flatt
so cute! :)
She looks old for her age
Oh come on :P Russian girls have no posture at all, no grace. Everything they do is about being fast and powerfull.
