That's actually not a bad theory. We've all heard Scarlet talk about Ryan's views on having a more successful wife. This was her best financially performing (non-cameo only) movie yet. She doesn't have a 1/5 of Scarlet's looks or talent, but Ryan is a one-note actor. Blake surpassing him by gaining a few bigger movies would be possible, because his only big role is Deadpool. Knock her down and make it so she can't get back up. If that was his plan, it still backfired. Looks like this mess hit him as well.

I think Ryan underestimates the public’s intelligence. People are not going to think of him in the same way. We know his star power caused a lot of this. You guys should read Baldoni’s lawsuit. It’s literally 100+ pages long, even shows the text messages between Blake and showing that she doctored a lot of the messages. There’s even possible mention of video recordings (when doing takes for the movie) that it wasn’t Baldoni harassing her but her being the one making him uncomfortable instead. This is going to be a messy lawsuit.
