How to use Bicep to Deploy Azure Resources

  • Bicep is a transpiler that transforms domain-specific language (DSL) into ARM templates. It's the next generation of Microsoft's infrastructure as code (IaC) tooling.
    We can use the Azure CLI to transpile the Bicep files into ARM templates and deploy them to Microsoft Azure.

      Bicep because it is declaritive.

    Interesting... I assume it has some kind of plan/preview command just so we can check which resources are going to be created/modified. Thanks for the content!

      Yes, you can use -Confirm at the end of the command to get a preview. It will ask you if you want to go ahead and execute the changes.
