There was a question about why you're interested, options were the security features, the unique security features, help with elderly and interested in a home robot. Which did you choose? I wonder if they select you based on the answer you give.
I'm failing to see the actual benefits of this other than a security camera on wheels. It doesn't have a built-in vacuum cleaner so it wouldn't replace my Roomba, what more could you use it for? I still want a robot though. 🤓😎
I got the invite right away…astro arriving next week. I also got the 3 year warranty for replacements if needed. I have several robots which needed repairs within a year for motors and gears breaking down. I am so excited.

Please test Alexa Calling and Visual ID triggering an Alexa Routine on a "specific person" being detected vs. a "people are detected" event. Can you also test the feature that if a reminder occurs and you don't respond that Astro will find you and remind you?
My other video shows Astro finding me to take my Lipitor. He will search until he finds you. His face recognition is just OK, as sometimes he confuses me with my friend.

I agree that a vacuum would be very useful. The home security feature is very good with Astro. He has a very good speaker and the audio sounds very nice when he streams music as well. Maybe they will add a vacuum feature in the future, even if it’s just to spot clean.
I have serious reservations about these robots. It seems a layout of my house could be produced from the data this thing uploads to Amazon servers. Amazon would know what I look like, would know my voice, could scan the house for products they can then use to market items to me unsolicited or to sell that data to other companies. I'd never trust it. I would love a robot but I'd need one with a local brain that operated completely offline from the internet.
