What is a better at off-road rzr800 in good condition or the ranger500? I dont know what to buy I just dont know which one is better, I want the more aggressive one
@amit nidam If your looking at something more aggressive, the rzr would best suit you. They are both capable machines but the ranger is made for work and play, the rzr is for pure fun.
Not sure why people say these machines don't have engine breaking but then you say it will engine break if you stay on the gas a little to keep the clutch engaged. That is engine braking. Obviously it's not ideal that it will freewheel if the rpms get too low and the clutch disengages but back in the day the early cvt transmissions didn't have any engine braking. Still not a giant fan of cvts but it's not bad. Just bought a 2017 570 midsize with only 89hrs on it that was only used on pavement in a neighborhood. Looks like it just came off the showroom floor. Good video!
@DiverseDad Technically yes you can keep on the gas and manipulate engine braking, however some models they have a dedicated engine braking which requires a one way bearing in the clutch which will not allow freewheeling at all or not as much anyways. However with that system you do have more parts that can go bad, such as that one way bearing can seize up and cause clutch issues…
This 500 is a nice machine however I would choose your 570 every time.
@@rockspowersports I have changed a one way bearing in my old Honda but I thought those were on actual geared transmissions not cvt. Either way the polaris cvt works alright. I just hope my 570 midsize is big enough otherwise I think I'm going to love it! Just brought it home last night
@@diversedad7954 the one way bearing on the Honda your talking about is for the electric start for the flywheel. The Polaris’s use it in there primary clutch to hold the belt in a “locked position”.
I think you’ll find the midsize is perfect. The full size rangers are nice but I like the compact design of the midsize.
Are you interested in tie-down anchors and seat covers for ranger 500? We would like you to help us shoot a product test video.
