Sounds excellent in stereo. In mono a lot was cancelled out. I know what you're saying....."who listens in mono?" It's just that my laptop's L/R channels are connected together, going to a mono amp. I then plugged headphones in to hear how good this was. Thanks.
shippy555 thanks for watching. Unfortunately, this old school technique does not work for mono applications. In order to separate the left right signals from the center channel signals, a lot of phasing has to be set up in he mixer. This phasing will lead to a lot of cross cancellation if the left and right output of whatever you’re listening through is set as mono. It’s just the nature of the beast.
Hey this is exactly what i have been looking for all time on you tube....i also have AW4416 in my studio,it looks to be. great machine ,,but i am requesting for your help...please and please how do you rout from the DAW to the AW4416 and back...show us how the cables in and out are inserted in the sound card how do i connect it to the sound card and if i wanted to print the aduio from the outbord gear back to the DAW??? i will be the happiest if this is done for me God belss you so much bro
I don’t use this machine with a DAW. I run completely in the box with outboard gear. This machine was never really intended to be used with a DAW, but it can be done. I suggest you join the AW4416 Facebook group. There you will find a lot of info, including doing what you want to do.
Sending the signal back to the input channels with having the ability to control the strength of the signal being sent out with a fader. Sending to the input board so I don’t have to triple up the recorded tracks.
