I remember beating that freaking snorlax by a 2 dollar play using Articuno with something eye skill that dosent miss attacks then use sheer cold. Man good old days.
+Charged Razor Just remember that gen 3 didn't have the physical/special split! By the way, how good is she in the battle tree? I have yet to fight her.
I actually like how tough the frontier brains are and how tough it is to get to them. They were the only real challenging trainers out of all of the games for me.
He meant using your own Snorlax with Shadow Ball, which is really good coupled with its high Atk. LOVE the Frontier Brain Battle Theme. Best song in the 3rd-Gen games. Then Legendary Battle, then Regi Battle, then Magma/Aqua battle.
how did you make your slaking to not loaf around?? My slaking keeps loafing around, he is an incredible pokemon, but I can't use him because of his loafing around:(
Interesting that Anabel does not switch after being unable to hit Swampert; I thought she would. (No offensive move on the Raikou besides Thunderbolt) Thus, it should be easy to set up Curse +6 and wreck her entire team.
I have 9 wins in a row and kinda scared to go for 10. I lost for weeks during the 8 rows. Now I have replaced my Tauros which is the only Pokemon I have with 2 31 ivs with a Latias that has 0 ivs on everything because of the Saphire roaming glitch, but maybe I should use a Swampert considering Raikou may crit or 2HKO my Choice Band Metagross. Not sure how much good ivs it should have and what moves it should have besides Surf and Earthquake. Ice beam didn't seem like it would be of much use. Maybe I should breed a Mudkip with Mirror Coat, but that again will be a pain. Gengar is useful to OHKO anything once with Destiny Bond. It has Ice Punch, Fire Punch, T-Bolt too.
+159yankees Do you have both Swampert and Metagross? Swampert can wall Raikou and it gets access to Earthquake. If you don't, then try geting a Quagsire if possible. Metagross wall both Snorlax and Latios and can hit them both pretty hard with the combination of Shadow Ball and Meteor Mash.
159yankees That's good. Metagross evolves at level 45 and gets Meteor Mash at level 55 I believe. I recommend having Psychic as well just for Stab type coverage, and Metagross has decent Sp. Atk.
My old Crystal Version Battle Tower team could take this on with little to no resistance: Machamp, Raikou and Suicune. The movesets don't even need mentioning; it's already over. Great Toxic strategy, 'filipe.
Not only that, but The Battle Frontiers (not sure about Battle Maison) also had a chance of having shiny Pokémon, be it wild from the Battle Pyramid, or even trainer owned.
That Raikou has got some pretty good techniques, setting up Calm Mind, and having a Lum Berry to cure poison and to render Swampert’s Toxic attack completely useless, meaning Swampert wasted it’s turn to attack by using Toxic.
wat moves should i give salamence i just ev trained it oh do u have to ev train tyranitar from pupitar cuz i train my salamence from shelgon and it has 387 attk and also dragonite from dragonaire
You should have used Toxic on Latios, since it was the only one w/o Rest..Nice Sp. Atk on the Slaking though, did you EV train it? Also, giving him Hyper Beam ws an interesting move, since it's one-turn rest drawback didn't really exist as Slaking rests every other turn anyway. Nice battle, anyway.
@TheModernOpsGamer in 3rd gen games moves are designated special/physcial based on their typing, so ice punch still is special a ground type with swords dance works better, since raikou is free setup fodder
Good battle! Anabel is pretty hard... but also fun! I used: Swampert (Surf, Earthquake, Ice beam, Brick Break) Slacking (Hyper Beam, Shadow Ball, Earthquake, Aerial Ace) Articuno (MIND READER+SHEER COLD, Ice Beam, Aerial Ace) My Swampert KO'd Raikou easily, Latios was a bit tougher, but 2 ice beams was all it took here. Also injured Snorlax with a Brick break, before being KO'd. Slacking then finished her off with a Hyper Beam. I did'nt get to use Articuno here but it helped getting to her.
+SmallEngineProductions Also, you don't have to complete the Hoenn PokeDex to get to the Frontier Brains. You're able to go to the Battle Frontier right after you beat the Champion, Wallace.
Is it bad that I never knew who Anabel really was until I looked her up on Bulbapedia? I never played _Emerald_ as a kid since I was relatively uninterested in the _Pokemon_ games until Gen IV.
earthquake-flamethrower-crunch/rock slide-dragon claw if he has dragon dance-keep it and replace it wiith another move crunch is your weapon against starmie or powerfull ghost and psychic types, flamethrower for steel, and if he has rock slide, it is your weapon for lapras and ice type pokemon
Good choice of Pokemons first of all ;) Raikou didnt cause much damage, but the famous sp. attacker Latios is one scary one. One raise in sp. and KOed Swampert (sth like that, I remember Japanese names :P) and luckily Slaking has high phy. attack to destroy Latios. As for Snorlax, it's its bad luck to face its greatest weakness---focus punch. That totally stopped it from raising stats, or it will be quite unstoppable....
lets see... beside salamence i cant get those pokemon xD im EV training the HP/SP.DEF of my cradily... Their incredible stallers and with the move igrain + toxic + (a def. lowering attack) + ( a powerfull swepping attack) i think its a good pokemon.... what you think??
They are called "Frontier Brains." And Dummy is right - essentially never lose and eventually you will face one. In the battle pike, advance rooms without losing.
for raikou you should either use swampert or quagsire because they both learn ground attacks and are immune to electric attax så a good advice that was :)
im lousy at the battle frontier... i only got 1 symbol yet... the silver luck symbol... im trying to make a team for battle arena... my azumaril is great there! Any advice on how to built a team anyone???
Hey can someone tell me what's EV or IV training? I know im a noob for not knowing that but i don't really know what they mean anyway so im asking ppl so plz tell me :)
I know, but his earthquake and rock slide would be strong, I'm not sure if starmie can learn mirror coat, if he does, then he is a hard counter for salamence in 3rd gen
Unless all trainers have a set team, then not much to say. However, I have noticed a running theme of Pokémon people tend to use, Swampert, Gardevior, and some kind of fighting type. Give Swampert EarthQuake, Surf, Ice Beam, and either Rest + Chesto Berry, or anything else + Leftovers. For Gardevior, Psychic, Calm Mind, Either Fire / Ice Punch, and ThunderBolt. Finally, any fighting type will do. I've seen Hitmonlee work, however I recommend Breloom with Spore + Focus Punch, and Giga Drain and Substitue, holding a Focus Sash, it's so god damn effective.
Calm Mind Suicune and Curselax are some of the biggest threats available in R/S/E, so can't really go wrong with those. As for Breloom, it certainly can work wonders if used well, but be careful because it is incredibly frail and falls easily even to non-super effective moves (and it has plenty of weaknesses), and its speed is also far from the best. A 100% accuracy Sleep statuser in Spore is absolutely incredible, but you mind find it troublesome to use Breloom well against faster Pokémon, especially since Focus Sash does not exist in R/S/E, and Band is very unreliable.
Wasn't saying use earthquake on Latios, was saying use earthquake on Raikou, and then used something like bite on Latios. As to Snorlax, should use fighting moves.
EVOmaster is wrong. to keep the stats after switching is imoossible. unless! you use a move called baton pass, ever heard of it? if you have a pokemon that knows baton pass and lets say swords dance, after a use of swords dance use baton pass and the pokemon that gets switched out gets the stat boosts from the previous pokemon. hope that helped :D

Pokémon: Haha fooled you! There's no battle frontier in the remakes!
Pokemon later: Alright alright, I'm sorry, you can have Anabel I guess
I love how even though Anabel has two legendaries, her Snorlax is easily her toughest Pokémon.
If you don't have a machamp a heracroos or a breloom you are in a big trouble
Just exploded my metagross on it.
Depending on your lineup snorlax can be easy or hard
I remember beating that freaking snorlax by a 2 dollar play using Articuno with something eye skill that dosent miss attacks then use sheer cold. Man good old days.

CurseLax in Gen 3 is still a force to be reckoned with.
10 YEARS BEFORE SUN AND MOON CAME OUT EXACTLY
lol I'm watching old strategies on how to beat her because she beat me in the battle tree in Pokemon sun
+Charged Razor Just remember that gen 3 didn't have the physical/special split! By the way, how good is she in the battle tree? I have yet to fight her.
Steelglitcher98 She has a Entei, Raikou and Mega Latios, She is scary strong thats what she used to fight me with.
Shame Sun/Moon are a disappointment in general.
hokutofan21 Not all lmao they were the best games to date
And now she returns in sun and moon
Fuck Sun and moon
Sumron exactly it’s TRASH
No u
Sun and moon isnt that bad of a game, I like it
I actually like how tough the frontier brains are and how tough it is to get to them. They were the only real challenging trainers out of all of the games for me.
Literally!!! Made the game so much better
wow,you are a genius. you toxic that shit for it to use the berry. Which when he use rest he couldnt get rid of it.
So He didnt lose earthquake's pp. How smart, really well played!
battle of the lazy pokemon slaking vs snorlax
Angelo Paguntalan slaking better
Slaking is actually far more powerful than Snorlax.
slakin is more of attacker then snorlax(who by the way is a wall)
Yeah, but at least with Snorlax, you don't have to put up with Truant

LOVE the Frontier Brain Battle Theme. Best song in the 3rd-Gen games. Then Legendary Battle, then Regi Battle, then Magma/Aqua battle.
Slaking is a badass Pokemon. And Focus Punch is a badass attack move.
16 years later she’s still easily one of the toughest trainers of all time.
I agree she is stylish and very well respected.
You know you're screwed when the Raikou got 2 free calm minds
it was all part of his plan, to use toxic so that the lum berry would be used, use earthquake to rest range and finish it while its asleep.
But if you have a ground type like swampert or rhydon, not be you in a problem because the only move attack of raikou is thunderbolt

cool vid
Great strategy to beat Raiku.Awesome battle!
how did you make your slaking to not loaf around?? My slaking keeps loafing around, he is an incredible pokemon, but I can't use him because of his loafing around:(
that snorlax of her so freaking hard to take down
Great Video Redfilipe!
Interesting that Anabel does not switch after being unable to hit Swampert; I thought she would. (No offensive move on the Raikou besides Thunderbolt) Thus, it should be easy to set up Curse +6 and wreck her entire team.
I'd recommend putting a Dark Type in your party. But nice eye catching Rest with Focus Punch.

Grr. Cant get past raikou and latios. Just when you have Raikou on the ropes, it uses rest. I dont get how dig does not take out Raikou in one move
I do have a beldum. I can train it to have it evolve into a metagross
159yankees That's good. Metagross evolves at level 45 and gets Meteor Mash at level 55 I believe. I recommend having Psychic as well just for Stab type coverage, and Metagross has decent Sp. Atk.

159yankees It learns it via TM.
@p0lterpup Ludicolo also works well with rain dish for ability and for moves rain dance, surf, ice beam and giga drain.

the only generation of facilities bosses allowed to use legendaries
Not only that, but The Battle Frontiers (not sure about Battle Maison) also had a chance of having shiny Pokémon, be it wild from the Battle Pyramid, or even trainer owned.
It's actually surprisingly hard to KO a Raikou in one hit, especially after they use reflect to halve any physical damage dealt to them.
@supafamouskid anabel? have you not fought brandon at all?
@groudonkingjoyguy well I didn't say Snorlax was lazier, did I?
That Raikou has got some pretty good techniques, setting up Calm Mind, and having a Lum Berry to cure poison and to render Swampert’s Toxic attack completely useless, meaning Swampert wasted it’s turn to attack by using Toxic.

There are more than 1 Latios/Raikou in the Pokémon World.
+SmallEngineProductions

All the legendaries in the Frontier are artificial.

Kingdra: Ice Beam, Dragonbreath, Surf, Rain Dance
Jolteon(traded): Thunderbolt, Shadow Ball, Dig amd Thunder
Salamence: Fly, Flamethrower, Crunch and Dragon Claw
what are you talking about? Slaking's ability is Truant, so it only attacks once in two turns
could u play tell me how to get an DS emulator and the diamond Rom?!
where do u fight her??? plz tell me
is it possible to get full hoen dex by just doing this battle towers?
lets see... beside salamence i cant get those pokemon xD

+Tilen Čurin because I'm sure you can make a better sprite yourself.
Sry I dont have a multicorporation like gamefreak.
***** then don't say unnecessary things
Plus he gave some time for Reflect to wear off.
I'm pretty sure it affects the whole team...or maybe that was just in D/P
the sound of ur video is 1 second to late but the rest of the movie is very awsome
i trained it in my fire red, in which i caught larvitar in sevault canyon and then traded it after i beat the elite four. it packs quite a punch.
Focus Punch works at the end of the current turn, not the next turn.
I know, but his earthquake and rock slide would be strong, I'm not sure if starmie can learn mirror coat, if he does, then he is a hard counter for salamence in 3rd gen
tell me there nature and what items they are holding and ill tell you
Hell yeah!
Go Snorlax!!! =)
Anyone have any tips on actually getting to her for the Gold symbol? I keep losing at around 56 or so.
Unless all trainers have a set team, then not much to say. However, I have noticed a running theme of Pokémon people tend to use, Swampert, Gardevior, and some kind of fighting type.

I did it with Latios, Suicune and Snorlax. Salamence works great, too.
Crumps Crumbs I'll definitely try Breloom!
Lance Salamence does work pretty well. Suicune and Snorlax it is
Calm Mind Suicune and Curselax are some of the biggest threats available in R/S/E, so can't really go wrong with those.
As for Breloom, it certainly can work wonders if used well, but be careful because it is incredibly frail and falls easily even to non-super effective moves (and it has plenty of weaknesses), and its speed is also far from the best. what is an emulator ... does it let you wifi battle
that was really smart of using toxic to get rid of lum berry..
Lol no, that means that the internal clock will stop working, making time based events (lottery, mirage island, clear-out sale, changing tides, etc.).
what is the last move?
Wasn't saying use earthquake on Latios, was saying use earthquake on Raikou, and then used something like bite on Latios. As to Snorlax, should use fighting moves.
how to train your pokemon so good please give me a tips
hey, since it's always the same team, why do you keep posting it at all my videos? -.-"
id go blissey.... just cuz if you get softboiled it's like havin someone with recover and it is slightly faster than either snorlax or slaking
how do you get there
EVOmaster is wrong. to keep the stats after switching is imoossible. unless! you use a move called baton pass, ever heard of it? if you have a pokemon that knows baton pass and lets say swords dance, after a use of swords dance use baton pass and the pokemon that gets switched out gets the stat boosts from the previous pokemon. hope that helped :D
it sounds to me that steel type pokemon would be a good option if you want to go up against her huh? nice vid btw looks like it was pretty hard
are you playing double matches instead of single matches?
whats emulater?
Any body knows how can I pass the elite four on visual boy advance. The game always go back at the begining. If you knows please message me. Thanks.
my question is, why did you have shadow ball on your Gardevoir in the first place? it's attack is craptacular....
she could have won so easily 😭
You run around in any area outside until it shows up, then the hunt starts....
I agree, it's terrible lose in the 8999 battle and be forced to return to the FIRST battle
@zer0range
your blaziken should have thunderpunch not aerial ace. for grass pokemon u just use blaze kik so u dont need aerial ace. use thunderpunch for water types
considering only ground moves can repel electric types, your pelliper is good
only have one water move for milotic. instead of hydro pump have ice beam or earthquake
if possible, teach a fire move to latios, to repel ice pokemon
metagross is good as it is
armaldos weaknesses to steel and water aren't covered
remember slaking's ability Traunt
Hes using it to his advantage by loafing around while recharging
@elijahhandley
cradily needs only one rock move. lose rock tomb and acid and teach moves to repel steel, bug and fighting types
flygon needs to have a fire move to repel its 4x weakness to ice. consider flamethrower, i think it can learn it via the TM. replace sand tomb with earthquake
Overall - your team is good, but could be improved in many ways
