Just looking at the video and seeing all the loose debris that could be picked up and piled somewhere,; how much nicer the property would look. Been watching when the property was bought and certainly can see Rome wasn't built in a day so looking forward to see it in it's glory. keep up the good work, love watching the story unfold.

I hear you, Herb. I washed some of my wife's "delicates" with some clothes I wore changing the oil in a car..... I'm also banned from washing machine use at Club Middo, as well.
Get a circuit tracer, it's like the GFCI Outlet tester you have but includes a wand you wave over the breakers till you find the correct one for that outlet.
Perhaps a solar water heater with the sun and temp so plentiful in a desert climate 9 or so months of the year better than a thankless (Tankless) gas or electric water heater they are on solar so electric is limited I would guess. You may have noted the water pipes wrapped in insulation it does get cold in the desert.
@@darrelldillon5658 Usually solar hot water systems have a temperature sensor at the panel, and they just drain back the water if it's below freezing. The system isn't full of water, so if the pump isn't running, the water drains back from the panels on it's own. That said, you can still get heat into the water from the sun even if the ambient is below freezing, you just can't let the water sit in the pipes. You also need the temperature sensor for the hot side too - in the sun, if you kept circulating the water through the panels, you'd end up with steam before you knew it.

You always have at *least* one LOL moment per video that catches me off guard. Today's was "no need to relisten" -- actually there were more, such as Kylie saying yes she never lets you use the washer, but that one made me laugh loudest.
That chain is obviously attached to an underground bunker, like in Terminator 2. I also urge you to cut the greenery around the house as it is where little mice can be found, and the snakes that eat them.
I had a relative of blue jay's called a scrub jay that would come to where I was working outside & watch me. I got some unsalted peanuts & made friends with her. Eventually she would fly over and land on my finger to get her peanut. I never saw her eat a nut - just hid them & come back for more. I hoped she would bring her babies so I could befriend them too but that never happened. Haven't seen her for a year so probably gone now. They are fun little friends. Every time I look at my house, shake my head and wonder why the guy before me did what he did I watch your videos and feel better! LOL! So you have cooling, hot water, electricity. Maybe heat but I haven't caught it if so. You are golden! Time to relax!
I reluctantly bought a new washer/drier set, because our old one only lasted 10 years... and they are impossible to find parts for (that particular brand). Wound up spending almost 3k on the stupid things, but they had the highest rated quality and were generally quite repair-able. We shall see over time...
You need to get to work you have a tractor with the front end loader and a flat bed trailer you bought a truck that can haul stuff start loading that junk and haul it off. You have so much to do and we’re seeing very little progress. I don’t know if you don’t spend much time there, but get to work one weekend you should be able to make a lot of progress just cleaning up the outside of the house
I know what you mean, my heart doctor asked me what gets my blood pressure up, and I replied: Herb o matic. Doctor said that figures. He's seen a lot of Herb o matic stress and all we can do is endure it. Patience my fellow sufferer.
You haven't lived until your well pressure tank blows apart at 3 am... Then you spend the next 12 hours finding parts to replace everything because you know it's a sunday on a major holiday weekend. Not to mention the impossible task of finding cpvc, giving up, and deciding to replumb the house to pex... and yes a lot of sharkbite fittings. I will never forget the sound, and it comes in at the top of my list of noises you never want to hear again. Air rushing past water at 120+ psi is not cool. The pressure valve worked until it couldn't relieve pressure fast enough, then the bladder blew in the tank, and finally, the tank cracked. I was able to turn off the power to the well, but the damage was done. Water all over the finished basement. I believe it was the pressure switch that failed, so the pump stayed on. Once I turned the power off, the gyser stopped.
I was thinking about te roofing sheets which are mounted from top to bottom. Its actually really smart.... It does not rain for months but there is always a lot of wind. Now it can't get under de roofing sheets😆
btw. When it comes to lighting the hot water tank you forgot to remove the inner cover after removing the outer cover. You will find it is much easier to light the pilot light and that you have a clear view of the pilot light gizmo as well. ( see the label on the cover inside) also don't forget to put both covers back on. interesting show looking forward to the progress. and remember you live in earthquake country, strap the thing to the wall and put it on an attached platform. Kind of dangerous the way you have it. and lastly the P&T valve drains to the exterior cuze they do go bad and drip a lot.
Those circuits could possibly be like on green acres.. you can total a 4.. so a 2 and a 2 or a 1 and a 3.. lol. You do need an electrician out there. They have ping gadgets to find out what goes where. They can also check if anything is obviously unsafe. That washing machine has a middle agitator. They don't make them anymore. Current me is wondering why he didn't account for the threaded to slip adapter in the length of that horizontal pipe, and now it's sticking out way past the edge of the tank. Current me is also wondering why not run the overflow through the wall to the outside, so if it does release water, it goes outside instead of flooding the house
