I love how they're making old content meaningful by actually having quests to unlock things and world interactions. Hope they continue this with other old contents; other transmog, mounts etc.
Instead of revamping the old world
@@9Bigsmile3 they'll eventually revamp, but that is a massive undertaking and the last time they tried that, it resulted in a botched expansion and loads of backlash.
@@UltimateGamerCC It wouldn't even be hard to fix that. Just put bronze dragon npcs in every zone that has been changed. Or a single "pre cata" npc.
@@darwinxavier3516 except you need to understand that they originally erased A LOT of Vanilla when they made Cata, with no intent of ever going back to pre-Cata, why else would WoW Classic be it's own entity? restoring Vanilla WoW in game would be a lot more work than you realize, not simply have Zidormi in the area.
@@UltimateGamerCC Is it a problem of adding a huge amount of data back into the game, or that they flat out lost the data somehow. I could see the latter as there were several wotlk weapon models that got major changes for no reason. Look up the different versions of Hailstorm and Black Ice.
What a good way to bring this all back. This could be a good formula for lots of legacy content. Tokens for transmog farming would be so nice.
I have all the original ZG cloth set patterns on my main character. I logged in to 10.07 and got a retroactive achievement for it. Pretty cool!
they need more stuff like this to make wow more like an mmo rather than an endgame grind machine. im so happy since i prefer to farm old zones when im not doing the main storyline.

grinding a dungeon for tmog doesnt make it an mmo lol
@@lambbosbread123 having other things other than end game/recent expansion does tho. WoW is the only other mmo that I play that basically makes all of its old content irrelevant.
@@lambbosbread123 what makes an mmo is being able to do whatever you want, not being forced to do a specific table of activities each play session you play. Dailies, raid progress, having to do x each day so you dont fall behind are big no nos.
As a faction transfer from alliance to horde, I had to at minimum do the campaign upto "Welcome to Zuldazzar" where I had to ride with Princess Talanji and I found the NPC in the crowd of trolls near the end.

This is honestly really cool that they've gone back and revisited some of this old, unobtainable stuff. I'd love to see them bring back or make accessible classic Naxxramas. I made the eternally regrettable error of vendoring my Tier 3 set on my paladin from when I raided that back then and I've always been on the lookout for an opportunity to farm that set again :(
@@g0gool_ they seem to be moving in that direction based on the 10.2 mythic plus dungeon rotation, they’re adding a cataclysm dungeon (Vortex Pinnacle) so your dream may become reality one day

Coolest looking sword in the entire game
If you use The Brazier of Madness, you can then use a Gurubashi Mojo Madness on it. You'll get a one hour buff that makes all mobs in the dungeon friendly. Also with this buff you can interact with bone piles (in 4 different areas) or something around the dungeon where you can turn Bijou's into tributes. Thraun Gaming goes way more in depth about it.

I have always wanted the green Hellreaver from ZG for my felguard pet. Every time I would enter ZG to farm the mounts, I would sigh and wish that green Hellreaver was available. Now, it is! My felguard is gonna look so cool.

What about the red tiger mount? Did they bring that back?
They should add the ZG tiger and raptor back, they weren't prestiege because of a limited time like the ZA bear, they were just random drops in content that got deleted, I was unlucky enough to get the raptor 5-6 times and never see the tiger drop, not because I raided ZG diligently in vanilla but because I walked through there weekly in bc/wrath with friends.
It's not a status symbol its just getting lucky on BMAH now

i wish they would att timewalking classic, and im not talking about the cataclysm dungeons revamp, im talking about the real OG dungeons.
When it comes to transmogs, well, i only ever played priest, and i still have alot of old gear on it, so would be cool to see something for the new classes in a "classic" ara look.

That's all awesome but I wish they would return a way for us to farm the ZG tiger and original ZG raptor mounts back into the game. I farmed that tiger for years and never was lucky enough for it to drop before they removed the original raid. =(

Yes, the mounts are not tied to this crafting update at all

that Tiger and the Raptor from ZG are both in the BMAH, recently Studen Albatross got it out of a BMAH container.

im still of the mindset that there is 0 reason they could not introduce the same mechanic for zg/za/naxx that they did for the zones. Theres no reason they couldnt do it and just bring the items themselves back in their previous forms.

Cool addition for the completionist grinders amongst us. More stuff is better for everyone. Ion(?) has said this is something they want to comb through for other raids, so I look forward to more!
So in short, there's nothing new there for us ogs other then an achievement.

This is really cool, but it also seems like a failed secret hunt that they forgot to hide very well. Man I really just want another one of those, some long secret hunt to spend a week on looking for how to obtain some rare mount.

The data mining also showed old Naxx 40 stuff but there was only 1 achievement if you had any of the old crafting recipes prior to WotLK like how there is a FoS achievement for having any ZG recipe pre-cata
