I installed some CANBUS turn signal bulbs in my 2017 Rav4 and tested them as you show here (they were not this brand, though). They worked perfectly upon initial test like this... but as soon as I started it up & actually drove it, they hyperflashed.
@@TRDJon yeah, pretty bad. They supposedly had built-in resistors, so I was quite surprised they did that. I ended up returning them to Amazon. Lol, then traded in the '17 Rav4 on a '13 4Runner.
I have these installed on my Honda Civic, 10th generation, a few days ago. They are intensely bright; enough to "blind" a person momentarily if they stare at it for long periods. I am a bit worried to use them at night in case I end up pissing off some drivers. The good part is that I live in a rural area so everything is mostly spread out.
This product is currently unavailable on Amazon but its available online on Walmart’s website. I just ordered mine including the rear turn signals. I’ll update on how it works.
Brother…watching you all the way on the other side of the Pacific-GREAT channel, you have a subscriber for sure. You’re actually the reason I finally pulled the trigger on the front switchbacks. Couldn’t be happier with them, happy your vid pushed me to get’em. Correspondingly, I just got the rear LED blinkers (& reverse). Am I the only one who had a CRAZY-time trying to get the bulb into the housing? It’s longer than a halogen…& we get pretty much NO slack with the wiring. I had to pretty much muscle-it in (sucks that I’m pretty sure I touched the leds in trying to do so. Just wondering if you had that issue?-or if my 2018 is just a 1-off? Great vids…keep it going/keep them coming 🤙🏽🇲🇵
Looks great on your 4Runner! I just order a pair for the front turn signals on the 2018 Tundra TRD 4X4. Figured I’d try them out. I normally only buy from VLEDS but these Lasfit look good and no load resistors makes the difference for me! Simple plug & play.
I never really rin my blinker a whole lot. Like if I'm at a red light in a turn lane..I have it off. But they haven't over heated on my. Hyperflash random like twice. But i've had them over a year now
This is so cool!! I was gonna go with headlight revolution but was really not wanting to spend 70 bucks on theirs. Not dogging them but anywhere I can save a few bucks the better
Ceasar Diaz I was going to order from Headlight Revolution as well, but seen that the LASFITs are brighter than the ones from HR. I plan on ordering these soon but I'm hesitant because of the many comments about them heating up and hyperflashing after about 2 to 3 minutes. I read that some vehicles never had that issue though. Still looking at other options for an F-150. After you get yours let us know if you had any issues.
I wanna install these in front blinkers of my F150 but don't wanna blind others. Aren't they actually too bright in your opinion? like blinding bright?
Those tiny little surface mount resistors are the problem. They are not rated to handle higher currents for long periods, even at 0.5 second on then off, which is how they are being loaded here. They will either heat up and pop open or melt. It would be interesting to see the resistors on a Lasfit after it starts hyperflashing. I still went ahead and bought a front and rear set of these though because it's still a clever design, and I like their clean light output.
LOL, of course you post this the day after I order the tail as you turn mod. Curious if these would fit in the front turn signals, worried about how long they are. Thinking about getting these for the front since I don't want switchbacks
The tail as turn is better IMO due to the face you have that bright light from your reverse lights if you want. But these are a very awesome product. I believer he front lights are 7443 bulb size
Yea I’ll try for you! I’m curious now too. I was looking at the sizes and the looked the same but they were still separate online. But Ill do it for you
After some research it looks like they won't work because the 7440's have 1 circuit where the 7443's have 2 and are dual filament bulbs. 7440's only have to flash, where 7443's have to be constant on as corners, plus be able to flash, I'm guessing it won't work. Bummer, I was really hoping I found a solution for my front turn signals because I don't want white switchbacks, just solid amber and flashing amber. Still interested if you want to try, but I'm betting they won't work :(
It’s definitely annoying when you’re at a light because at night they are way too bright. I switched them back to the regular ones because I live in a small town so it was getting too much attention lol
Nice upgrade ! The Tail as Turn is garbage to me , as an amber turn signal stands out more . I have the JDM ASTAR 3030 SMD 1156 Amber rear signals there nice a bright too 1500 Lumens , but these look brighter . Funny I remember they where shown here on RUclips as a prototype , the guy said after 5 mins the signal would hyper flash . I guess they solved that .
Yea I only did it for 3-4 mins. It hyper flashed once but fixed itself basically instantly so I figured it just got a tad warm. Didn’t bother to put that in the video. And yes. These are WAY brighter then the tail as turn. However I like the tail as turn also due to the fact you can have a bright bulb for reversing.
Blue TRD Jon Well 2 reverse lights are better than one . Mine put out 1000 Lumens , there from JDM ASTAR . GX 3020 . I’ve done every light on my car in & out . Enjoy those new signals ! 👍
I have the same truck as You and I was trying to get rid of that amber color the bulb shows when it’s not on. With this set up u changed to does it still have an amber color I am looking for it to only show amber when it’s actually blinking.
Blue TRD Jon I just hate that amber color the factory bulb shows when the truck is off. I was blacking out the entire rear of my truck and those halogen bulbs show so much the yellow color when the truck is parked.
Hey Jon!.. was wondering if I had to leave my vehicle on the side of the road with the haz on say for an hour or so if they would be any concern with the bulbs getting to hot and melt the lens or something?
They will definitely hyperflash. When you leave the hazards or the turn signal on for about a minute or two, they will hyperflash. They have built in resisters, but they can only take so much heat given that everything is enclosed. They call that a protection feature. I don’t see the point in that.
Hey Jon, how are the bulbs holding up? I’ve seen a couple reviews that after running blinker or flashers for a couple minutes they were blinking faster and not syncing. Have you had any issues with that? I have an 18 TRD off road I’d love to throw these in but wanted to check with you first. Thanks!
I noticed it when I was messing around with things after I was recording. They were probably on for like 3 mins and it hyper blinked but returned to normal.
@Lasfit lights just work....I put them in my wife's Toyota too. We need all the help we can get in Florida😂for other drivers to see u better. It really gets there attention.

Do you worry about getting pulled over for bright turn signals? EDIT: I just put one in my 2021 Toyota Corolla Hybrid LE, and my co-worker said it was too bright. When he saw it flashing waiting at a stop light behind me, he said it was too bright but cool.

Agreed. He posted this literally a day after I bought my tail as turn, I ended up selling my TAT modules and bulbs and ordered these instead. Was too worried about being rear ended for not having clear enough turn signals
Hi Jon it’s me again. Sooo I got these delivered tonite and switched them out right away. Well when I tried to put them bak in the wire isn’t long enough to allow room to turn the bulb around and get it into the socket. They are way bigger than the little orange halogen bulbs. Can u tell me what u did to squeeze them bak into that little hole cuz I tried and tried and didn’t wanna break anything so I gave up :-(
Jon your product link to purchase on Amazon is not accurate according to Amazon and this product does not fit (according to Amazon) my 2019 4Runner TRD Offroad. What gives?
Note, the rear are relatively easy to install but the LED bulb is longer than the stock halogen. So it takes some patience, passenger side front is pretty easy... But the driver side is a b^#%h. Wear long sleeves or cover your forearm.
Have you had any issues with this as a daily turn signal? I saw another video where they said the bulbs over heated and he had issues with his bulb. Thanks and keep up the great videos.
Blue TRD Jon Good news, there’s a drop down menu for the amazon link you supplied, they have a 7440a edition of this bulb which is what you need for a 4runner front turn signal.
these bulbs hyperflash after 5 minutes of continuous use because the built in resistor disconnects.. you still need to add a separate resistor if you want them to never hyperflash regardless of how long they are on

The ones I purchased work similar as the low beam LED that have a heatsink and a fan, they are crazzzzyy bright but that intermittent hyper flashing gets old :(
I really want something like this for the switch backs. This was beyond easy and no resistors. Love how simple it was. And I know. Another video and no dash cam 😩
Blue TRD Jon for $50 you can get front and rear turn signals along with reverse led bulbs that are just as bright are all error free and canbus compatible. Even if one has the money doesn’t mean being smart shouldn’t come into play lol
This is awesome however for 50 bucks it's a bit too much for me. That's almost more than LED headlights. It should be more like 10 or 15 bucks. I'll stick to my halogens.
It’s more then just lights. You’re paying for the lights, technically in them, and the convenience of not having to do resistors. Idk how much it costs them but $30 would be a good price point
You put in shitty headlights and LED fogs. No where near state of the art. Should have used 55 watt HID with 6000k, not 3000k and there are much better LED fogs out there. Figures, you got it all free for your tube advertisement.
I installed some CANBUS turn signal bulbs in my 2017 Rav4 and tested them as you show here (they were not this brand, though). They worked perfectly upon initial test like this... but as soon as I started it up & actually drove it, they hyperflashed.

Nice video. I have read in reviews that after 3 mins or so they start to hyper flash? Is that true? How have these bulbs held up?
Yes they do, because they get hot after being on that long. They do it to help them stop from burning out so fast.

It will if your lights are that bulb size. You can check in your manual or a quick google search. Most then indicators are common.
While I’m looking for a brighter signal or park light these led’s are just to bright IMO, imagine sitting behind a vehicle that has this as their turn signal on and it’s blinding you with every flash, I removed mine from the back and just use them in the front.

Yea ima try them to see if they work
I had hyper flashing in mine with another brand, but the one I did buy did warn about it. My mistake.
The ones I purchased work similar as the low beam LED that have a heatsink and a fan, they are crazzzzyy bright but that intermittent hyper flashing gets old :(
No worries!!!
Love it
I’m glad! I hope this helped!
Highbeam Turnsignals. No arguing that! If you don't see me turning, you're simply not looking at my car.
Purchased these for a 2018 Toyota 4Runner. They did not work, they hyper flashed. Got no help from Lasfit
How did you reach out?
The reason they hyperblink is actually because the leds use soooo little power, the car thinks that bulb is out, hence the hyper flash
I need red ones unfortunately
you could have shown how to get the actual light assembly out of the car
I believe I mentioned it. 2 simple bolts
They may hyper flash when they get warm.
Nice now get pure white front LED switchbacks and get BlackVue front and rear dash cam.
I really want something like this for the switch backs. This was beyond easy and no resistors. Love how simple it was.
And I know. Another video and no dash cam 😩
Blue TRD Jon For switchbacks check out JDM Astar ,and for great resistors that stay cool get Vleds VLR6 trust me they are great.
is a nice led bulb, but $45 Turn Signal Light, so all around $90. i am sure a lot led light out there for same quality and cheap price. i pass
Do you have these for 15 camry
Just select your bulb size and it should work.
Do these blind people behind you at night? They look way too bright lol
I have them upfront now. But I don’t think so. Just makes them aware! Haha
What a nightmare to put in the bulb into the socket without taking the entire housing off. These bulbs are too long to plug and put into socket!
The housing design doesn’t help either
They start to fail fast flash, after a while
Only happened once for me so far. But it’s like it corrected itself.
Too bad you didn’t put it under the sun to know how bright it is in the morning.
I mean, they are super bright.
1:04 It's not US made lol
Yes they are
Didn’t work in my taco :/
And you tried flipping them
For the polarity ??
1:03 "US made"
1:06 turns package "made in china"
TRIPPIN!! Only a fool would pay $50 for a pair of turn signal bulbs. People these days 🤦🏻♂️
If you got the money and want bright lights then I get it.
Blue TRD Jon for $50 you can get front and rear turn signals along with reverse led bulbs that are just as bright are all error free and canbus compatible. Even if one has the money doesn’t mean being smart shouldn’t come into play lol
Are they halogen or led ? Just curious. And I see why you’re saying
You mind dropping a link
Same brand ?
This is awesome however for 50 bucks it's a bit too much for me. That's almost more than LED headlights. It should be more like 10 or 15 bucks. I'll stick to my halogens.
It’s more then just lights. You’re paying for the lights, technically in them, and the convenience of not having to do resistors. Idk how much it costs them but $30 would be a good price point
They look a tad too bright. You're going to blind the people stopping behind you, haha.
Haha that they are. Maybe it will cause people to finally pay attention.
You put in shitty headlights and LED fogs. No where near state of the art. Should have used 55 watt HID with 6000k, not 3000k and there are much better LED fogs out there. Figures, you got it all free for your tube advertisement.
I had HID and they were the best i had in there. Just didn't like all the wire.
Do these work for the front or is it only for rear?
Yes but the amber won’t be on for drl
@@TRDJon Interesting, thank you for the reply!
