Absolutely, YES. I have the older brother Sf 3; I would never change it for anything elese. It's fast, endurant, sturdy, reliable, - I have 50-60 windows open at all times - carried between continets, and still is like bought last week. It is 8 years of age as by this month. Acer have never let me down - todate.
8 months in, user report: i7-1165G7 "Tiger Lake" @ 2.80GHz, 16GB, 1TB It's very nice, fast, light, and dependable. So far no issue with fan noise (very quiet) or over heat. The only problem I have is the speakers are not loud enough. Overall, I am very happy with it.
Great overview, thank you. However, it's not a flaw when one cannot open the deck lid of a notebook with one hand when the hinge is reinforced and the parts inside the notebook are structurally distributed in a way to make the notebook workable and lightweight.
I bought the S514-55GT-725L model in May and have been using it to WFH. I connected to two displays, overall the speed was good, but the fans were unbearably loud and annoying, even louder than my brother’s 4~5 year old MacBook Air. I think it’s just give and take if you want to get a laptop this thin and light.
Can please suggest me which one should I go for Acer swift 5 Lg gram 14 Microsoft Surface go They all are around 70k please tell me which is better allrounder
Thank you so much for considering this laptop for review. Do you think there will be much of a performance dip with the i5 variant of this machine with 8 GB of RAM at a lower price point?
Depends on what you plan to use the laptop for. But longevity of 16 GB / I7 variant will be longer compared to 8gb / I5 variant. If you can afford it, get the i7 variant with 16GB.
I agree with the part where the folding screen is just too thin, got mine recently cracked (due to too much unfolding, I guess...or my siblings were just a little aggressive), and I was pretty disappointed with the crack exactly on the folding area, is there anyway that I could fix the folding crack, because I'm not sure if I would have to get it fixed it as a whole. Above all, I still love all the characters of this laptop since I've been using it since last year and everything was convenient for me as a student as I can carry it around without worrying about how heavy it would be.
I've read a lot of complaints that the Inspiron with ryzen 5500 runs too hot and loud. However, the Swift 5 low quality speakers are kind of a disappointing. I've looked hard for a decent 15.6 inch screen laptop but they can't hold a candle to the 14 inch laptops. I might end up buying the Acer Swift 3 these smaller screen laptops have a lot longer battery life and are very light weight.
Bro,Please suggest me some hybrid laptops of : 8/16 gb ram , i5/i7 & 10/11Gen with dedicated graphics, windows 10/11 , Usb 3.0 port Either from the (2021)series of dell / asus/acer... .in range of { 60k-80k } Battery life-giving 8-10 hrs.. USB Type-C port
Thanks for the speaker test. Acer always gets that wrong. Defend audio would make that laptop sell much better. I've been waiting 5 years now for the next iteration to improve audio and still after 5 years the audio is shit.
so far as I have used this laptop for almost one year, my laptop's fan recently made a loud noise and the speaker on the right-hand side sounds buzzing...I don't know why....these two problems make me feel uncomfortable when using it
Hi great point, the one on this laptop here is in-fact LPDDR4x I labeled as DDR4 as it belongs to the same generation. It’s worth nothing that DDR4 actually has higher bandwidth at lower speeds compared to LPDD4x. So while it is more power efficient it’s not faster per say.

Just got the Swift 5 here in India last week at INR 90K. Model I7 with 16 GB/1 Tb ssd. Gr8 machine overall. It is so light, that it almost feels like a toy, but build quality is fine considering that it weighs only 1 kg. Pros- excellent performance, lovely bright screen with touch, battery life seems to decent and of course the ultra- portability, 3 year warranty upgrade free of cost after registering on acer India website Cons - keyboard could be better as gold on dark green is sometimes hard to make out clearly under some light conditions , only 1 level of keyboard backlighting, arrows keys placement poor, no physical button to turn off webcam for security , 2nd big con is that speakers not loud enough. I think my Iphone 12 speakerphone is much louder. priced slightly high and should be 10-15 percent cheaper (but still cheaper here in India than the UK or USA) Overall I would highly recommend this notebook, if you can adjust to the slightly subpar keyboard and speakers.

You can enhance the quality and increase volume by messing around with DTS settings
@@ThisuraYapa Thanks, I just tried to restore to default setting on DTS. The result is the same, laptop speaker sound is still a joke.

I need the answer to this too. For video editing and 8gb ram.

It should suffice.
