Ryan Adams has one of the all time great male voices. Seriously. The TONE of his voice and the flow, beautiful control. One of the big reasons almost everything he does sounds great.
One of the greatest, most prolific artists of all time. 20 solo albums in 22 years. I remember I bought 7 bootleg live cds from eBay maybe around 2003/04 with a total of around 120 (ish) songs in all and only around 10 of those ended up on studio albums. The man is unbelievable.
It's 2am where I am. And I have just stumbled upon this, in an drunken haze. This is absolutely beautiful. Tmrw, I am showing my beautiful little boy how to play guitar properly. He tries to write his own songs, in his head, and on my guitar. He's 7, so his hands are still too small to play with proper dexterity and definition, but he creates his own songs in his head. Lots of stuff about Pokémon and dinosaurs and all that. And he's got a real thing for Liam Gallagher. But I want him to play and sing with this energy, and soul, and sentiment. His name is Otis, and I will show him this. This is perfection.
Ryan Adams i fkin love ya..you are so talented man..it makes me well up listening to ya i swear..ya voice is something else mate..my favourite artist now by a country mile...thanks buddy
For me, watching the Academy Awards has always been about poets, how they manipulate time and space, and as such inspire filmmakers. There's at least one poet shout-out in every year's acceptance speeches (Exene Cervenka is a particular favorite). So why I watched the 1994 awards with regular folk and not poets is why I missed Bruce Springsteen perform this jewel. That's on me. But I did witness Neil Young perform Philadelphia, his original contribution to the film, and its stark and open cathedral of acceptance - so big - was unlike anything I'd ever seen before on live tv. How did this not win? It took this performance to set me straight. I still think NY's is better, but my hungry heart accepts both with open arms. Come home.

Tone and pitch are king and Ryan’s command of both is magnificent

This is one of the most talented musicians ever. His ability to write and sing covers is only matched by his own songwriting.

Ryan is truly one of the most gifted musicians ever.
This is gold
It's a heartbreaker.
On a scale of 1/10, it's a 29.
Such heartfelt emotional music. Beautiful stuff to reflect on time gone by and the struggles which lay ahead
Two of the greatest troubadors to grace us and this pure respect and homage while making it his own. RA I salute you sir
Any song writer would admire this guy singing their songs.
Just one of the most pure voices ever. 🎶🎸🎤💕

Pure HEAVEN. I bet the boss would love this.

Ryan Adam’s is as good as it gets.
Amazing cover, very well done. All the feels…damn
Ryan, if you ever read this message please make an album where you cover such wonderful songs, in your own style! I love you, and your music :)
He did its called 1989 😉
@@cestoz I think you'll find that 1989 is a track by track cover of Taylor Swift's album of the same name.

There’s a few on youtube - if you haven’t already come across them😊
Incredible. Ryan is the only person that could cover this song and do it justice
I recall The Boss saying how much he loved this cover!
Ah man. My heart can't handle such beauty. Ryan, you're what my 90s self would call the bomb diggity.
bobm diggity ? na man..... ryan is deeper than tht. Bruh......a
Wow. Beautiful. And Springsteen can write a song too. ❤
So good, Ryan
And here I didn't think much of this song till RA sang it. Superb!!

Just flat out kicks you in the feels
Superb, a 12 string always sings all on it's own.
I miss you Ryan.
Crying. Man. It was like it was written for him.
The Best.
Brilliant
Great cover 🖤✌🏽🖤
So good..thank you DRA
This guy kills it
He really is a very good singer.
fkn performance..💛💛💛
I’ve been on the streets of Philadelphia…not too shabby 😌
unbelievable
Ryan can sing anyone’s song and make it even more awesome, but you can’t beat Springsteen !! Awesome though Ryan 😎😎😎
what a cover
Amazing cover!! Even with the imax iPad TelePrompTer
Too good.
Ur class!
Legend. The end.
So fucking good
Ryan Adams, just absolutely flawless. A legend.
sunrise in Western Australia- after a year….
Love you Carlo
Nice shirt
Boss tha'
Didn't recognize the song for the first 20 seconds.. the way you strum it. Isn't right. But you have a nice mellow voice.
This is credibility...yeeaaaahhhh
Why did he raise 2nd last verse: the most "depressing" verse.
Que marca es la guitarra?
I think it's a Vox. Jimmy Paige played a Vox 12 string on a lot of Zepplin songs.
It’s an Italian made Eko. I have a 6 string version.
fuck me. how good is he
Bruce
xxxxxooooo
Is he still cancelled or have the puritans moved onto someone else?
He's forging his own path again now thankfully, and continuing to create heaps of fantastic music.
Can't wait see him in York April '23
@@colinirvine3576 Glasgow on April 9th for me.
anyone know what tunning this is in?
standard tuning. capo at 3rd fret.
Spellbinding
He ist Not The (F....) Boss! How ist the respect
is not a country man !
Too fast!
Since when is a cover version supposed to be in the exact same tempo?
He was more attractive when he was doing speedballs.
Sorry Ryan, you’re not the Boss.
Terrible. Come to think none of his covers are good
Is everyone tone deaf and unaware of awesome guitarists? This is not cool and in no way touches THE BOSS get some musical taste!
Poor version of the song, dull, no feeling.
