Hello, what kind of jacket would you recommend for the weather in minus 7-10 degrees Celsius? Is Aerolight definitely not an option anymore? Do I need to buy Lite Down?
Hey there! If you are archery hunting in Sept, I'd probably go with the Aerolight as it's much quieter and you could still layer under it if need be. Thanks for watching!
Looks like it has the same down as the Kelvin Down Jacket, just in a different fit (more relaxed). I've not tried the Rover though. Thanks for watching!
Hey there Chase! Yeah, you may want to size up in the Kelvin Lite Down if you are wearing the Ambient and a base layer. They do run a bit on the small side. Thanks for watching!
Hey there Landon and thanks! Hmm, I would not recommend this Kelvin Lite Down for an archery hunt. It's too noisy IMO. Love the jacket, but not for archery season. The Aerolite and Uncompahgre are more similar in warmth and noise and both are great for the archery application. The Aerolite is built to be better when it gets wet, but I'd say the Uncompahgre fit me a little better. Either one would be great, but I'd probably lean towards the Aerolite. Both still have a bit of noise to them, but aren't too bad for archery. The Uncompahgre is slightly quieter I'd say though.
@@BackwoodsPursuit Thanks for the reply! I appreciate the insight. I love the in-depth videos you've been doing on different pieces, especially the comparisons across brands. A video I'd like to see is what "kits" you run for different seasons. For example: what would you use in FL for an archery hunt vs Sitka? Which system do you prefer, and if you would mix and match pieces, which pieces would you use from each brand?
Good review! I noticed you went with the Large. If you don't mind sharing, what's your ht/wt? I've read reviews on Sitka's page but still trying to get guidance on sizing for this jacket. Thanks!
Hey there Jeremy! I'm 5'11", 185lbs. This jacket runs on the smaller side of a large, but still worked well for me. If it helps, I have longer arms as well....30in draw with a bow. Thanks for watching!

@epicnorth4677 hey! Yeah, the Areolight wouldn't be quite enough for that temp. I'd go with the Kelvin Down personally. Thanks for watching!
@@BackwoodsPursuitthank you ❤
Trying to decide which jacket to go with the areolight or the puffy for elk hunting in September in colorodo .

What color is that? Woodsmoke? Thanks
Hey there! Yes, that is the color Woodsmoke. Love it! Thanks for watching!
How does this compare to the new Rover down jacket?
Looks like it has the same down as the Kelvin Down Jacket, just in a different fit (more relaxed). I've not tried the Rover though. Thanks for watching!
How is its weather proof news and fabric durability compared to the aero lite?
Hey there! I'd say they are pretty similar...this Kelvin Lite Down might be a little more durable though I think. Thanks for watching!
Would this be similar in warmth to stone glacier grumman down?
Hey there! I haven't tried the SG Grumman, but I believe so. Thanks for watching!
If I were to wear a base layer, ambient jacket and a Jetstream, would I want to size up for this jacket or keep the same size in my first three layers
Hey there Chase! Yeah, you may want to size up in the Kelvin Lite Down if you are wearing the Ambient and a base layer. They do run a bit on the small side. Thanks for watching!
I sized up even to XXL at 6' 220#'s and it's perfect imo. i typically buy large but my weight fluctuates from 200-220//230 year round.
Great review! Would you recommend this jacket, the Sitka aerolite, or a firstlite uncompagre for an archery elk hunt?
Hey there Landon and thanks!

@@landonzimmerman5431 any time man! That's a great idea and I'll see what I can do on some videos on kits. Thanks!
